It starts off relying heavily on spoon feeding the history to you. There is no intelligence behind the design, just another clumsy abc.
It looked okay and there was some character felt behind the robots. But there was nothing standing out.
The concept behind her brother was okay. But it wasn't really thought out. You just had to accept it.
The baddie and the baddie strong man were a copy and paste of everything you have seen ten zillion times. A huge disconnect from reality is required to believe the main baddie. It's both comical and ridiculous.
Chris Pratt, whilst in the film, doesn't really do anything. I like him as an actor but he was very under used. His character was very dull and safe. An easy salary for him.
Bobbie Brown performs well. But she generally does. But I don't really get her character. There was an empty feeling around her storyline. It was dull and boring.
But the big kicker was the politics. More messaging being shoved down the neck. It got a little ridiculous. Almost pantomime. Don't get me wrong, the messaging is right, just not here.
A confusing film. Showed tiny potential but didn't deliver whatsoever. And then I found out how much it cost to make. How very sad.
A Sunday film, that's all.

I was astonished by the way they brought this computer imagery to life. The technology and superb colour grading were fantastic. From start to finish.
We all know the story of RW (ish). So I am glad it was given to such talented creatives who grabbed this and made it their own. It was a brave, and slightly odd, approach but it really paid off.
The film found the emotion in buckets. It was both incredibly touching and, at times, a little scary. His demons really were played out well.
The highs and lows were well presented, with music fitting in well and being slightly understated at times.
I did feel it was a little long but it has been a long day. But it is a film I would watch again.
The Director nailed it again. This is a lovely film and deserves the praise it is getting. It is technically flawless, emotionally triggering and feel good making. It simply has it all. Highly recommended. Just for the originality of it.
And go top it all, I have tickets to see the little monkey in June 2025 👍🎵🎹

A bucket load of high calibre acting talent who have to endure a weak story with some very bland and ridiculous directing. You really do have to disconnect your beliefs of reality to accept this film.
The film ticks all the cliche boxes. The run down cop, the bad aiming, the robberies, the vulnerable sidekick, the rogue baddie, the competing authority figures and the unsatisfying climax. It really has it all.
The mood is boring and dull. The pace is painful and the tension is non existent. The film relies on too many plot cliches to help keep the highly predictable story going.
The film ends on science defying acts where toxic smoke no longer has any fatal consequence, resulting in a parody of an ending.
Such an important topic of domestic terrorism deserved a better film. This was not it. Just another cliche dull fest to add to the pile.
