My Big Fat Greek Life (2003)
First show not that good--But
The first show was not that good, as it left a lot to be desired from the original movie. However, if you stick with the series it got better, and I would say that now it is on par with the movie. My wife grew up with Greek friends, and she really enjoys the show as there is a lot of truth in their actions.

Exceeded My Expectations
I am in my 70's, and years ago, I used to listen to Arthur Godfrey on radio. He said that Meredith Wilson, who was his friend, did not ask him to invest in his new Broadway play as he did not think it would succeed. Well, it became a Hit and so did the movie with Robert Preston. This was one of my all time favorites. It was with great doubt that this was going to be even a poor second compared to the original. However, I believe it has succeeded. Sometimes it is difficult to evaluate because of the fixation with the previous stars, but they did an excellent job.
