In Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, a number of characters are shrouded in mystery, and the most popular name that resonates with this idea is the Captain of the Red-Hair Pirates, Shanks. When he was first introduced in the series, fans fell in love with him and wanted to see more of him.

However, very little of him was shown, and fans did not know much about him. Though the series was flawless, fans had one reason for criticism: they wanted to see more of the Yonko. Interestingly, from the Wano Arc, Oda-Sensei features more of him following Luffy’s victory against Kaido.
Sadly, that is bad news for the fans of the grand series because the manga artist of the series has commented on the regular appearances of Monkey D. Luffy’s mentor. Sadly, it is not exciting, as it means that Oda-Sensei...

The most powerful pirates in One Piece, the Four Emperors of the Sea, recently saw a big change when Buggy and Luffy grabbed the spot of Kaido and Big Mom as the new Yonkos. While they are making their way to the One Piece treasure, they still have a lot of powerful opponents to face, and one of them is Red-Haired Shanks, the captain of the Red-Haired Pirates.

Shanks’ strength as an Emperor is defined by the fact that he is the longest-running Yonko who has yet to face a defeat in the series. As of now, he is the strongest Haki user of the current era, and this was recently witnessed when he took down Eustass Kid and his crew with just one attack. But that attack had a lot of significance behind it.

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter is one of the most popular manga and anime series. It has become a name that has transcended the borders of Japan, becoming a massive series all around the world. While the series is generally praised for its plot and action sequences, the voice actors did a fabulous job of breathing life into the characters.

Everyone has done a magnificent job, but one name has resonated quite well with the fans. It’s none other than Daisuke Namikawa, who voiced Hisoka in the Shonen series. His work has received an immense following, as he has been nicknamed The Voice of Weird.
However, much to the surprise of the fans, Namikawa-San has also voiced two fan-favorite characters from The Big Three. Interestingly, all three characters have one thing in common: they are all unstable, and their actions would make your skin crawl.

There are several fan theories surrounding Roronoa Zoro’s true ability. In One Piece Volume 105 Sbs, Eiichiro Oda confirmed the Straw Hat swordsman is a descendant of the Shimotsuki clan. Even though his parents are yet to be revealed, he has had several meetings with strong people who belonged to Wano.
Even after much research, Oda has kept the swordsman’s true nature a mystery. He has been called a demon/monster on countless occasions. Even his latest blade and most potent move is named after the residence of demons, Hell. A notable scene in Zoro vs. King’s battle proves he might actually be the demon.

One Piece is one of the most successful anime ever. It has been going on for more than two decades, yet its fanbase seems to increase every second. Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus follows the journey of Monkey D. Luffy, who wants to become the king of the pirates. One of the best things about One Piece is that it often gives birth to new mysteries that keep the audiences on the edge of their seats.
Most of the time, the answers are hidden in plain sight, but Eiichiro Oda’s brilliant storytelling makes it difficult to see. It often leads to the creation of fan theories. One such fan theory that recently had the One Piece fandom thinking was about a particular noble who is an ally to the Straw Hat Pirates, yet none of them knew about his real identity.

Much of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is centered on Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirate crew going on a fantastical adventure on the Grand Line. However, the Shonen series does not focus primarily on its main characters, as over its long run, Oda-Sensei has featured several mysteries around its characters.
Monkey D. Luffy. Credits: Toei Animation
One of the most sought-after mysteries revolving around the anime and manga series is The Will of D. The characters with these initials are notorious figures tirelessly hunted by the Marines. While characters like Ace, Dragon, Garp, Saul, and many more flaunt the letter in their names, Trafalgar D. Water Law prefers to hide the letter from his name.
Though fans initially assumed that he preferred to have negligent attention and did not want the Marine on his tail, it turns out that he prefers to hide the letter for a very different reason.

If on a random day, Eiichiro Oda confirmed Crocodile to be Luffy’s mother, no One Piece fan would find themselves to be surprised. The theory has been one that fans have found themselves pondering over for the longest time. Out of all the secrets the author has been hiding, one about Luffy’s mother has gotten every fan to scratch their head.

His father has been an active figure of the story for a long time but even the mention of his mother seems to be slim. As a result, the theory of Crocodile being Luffy’s mom made a surprising surge in popularity. It isn’t just something about his being Luffy’s mother that may be interesting but rather what compelled him to allegedly change his gender in the first place.

HBO’s The Leftovers starts with 2 percent of the world’s population suddenly disappearing for reasons unexplained — and the plot just gets more bizarre from there. Created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta — and based on Perrotta’s novel of the same name — The Leftovers starred Justin Theroux, Christoper Eccleston, Carrie Coon, and Amy Brenneman, among others, as the ones left behind when the Sudden Departure strikes. The series debuted on June 29, 2014, and ran for three critically acclaimed seasons, topping critics’ year-end lists of top 10 TV shows more than 20 times. And as The Leftovers attests, there’s no telling what will happen after one of every 50 persons on this planet — and three out of four Perfect Strangers cast members — vanish into thin air. Some people want to be (non-fatally shot) in the chest. Some opt for orgies aboard ferries. And some start heralding the return of Gary Busey. Here are...

In the new Apple TV+ series “Hijack,” Archie Panjabi plays counter-terrorist agent Zarah, who gets a tip that there has been a “serious incident” on board a plane bound for London — a tip that is, at first, written off as a false alarm.
Meanwhile, Idris Elba (who also produces) plays businessman Sam Nelson, who’s trying to outwit the hijackers on board with a series of high-stakes gambits that may or may not work out.
The first two episodes of the series from co-creators Jim Field Smith and George Kay debut June 28 on Apple TV+. Panjabi, who previously starred on Peacock’s “Departure” and TNT’s “Snowpiercer,” promises viewers will be “at the edge of your seat for the eight-episode series, which unfolds in real time.

The Canadian Screen Awards has unveiled nominations for the national film and TV prize-giving, and the CBC civil rights drama The Porter leads the film and TV field with 19 mentions in all, including for best small-screen drama.
The first Canadian drama series from an all-Black creative team, which also streams on BET+, centers on the lives of Black train porters and their families as they launch North America’s first Black labor union in the 1920s.
The TV categories, voted on by around 3,000 Canadian industry insiders, also sees the CBC series Detention Adventure and Sort Of – a Peabody award-winning show about a gender fluid young Muslim in Toronto played by Bilal Baig — nab 15 nominations each in an awards show shaping up to be a major showcase for people of color.
That follows Canadian film, and TV industry efforts to ensure diversity and inclusivity in the country’s indie production sector and prize-giving process.

Season three of international thriller drama series Departure, headlined by Archie Panjabi, has begun production in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Toronto. Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack has joined the series, produced by Shaftesbury in association with Corus Entertainment, Starlings Television and Red Arrow Studios International.
Departure, whose existing two seasons are streaming on Peacock, was renewed for a third season by Canadian network Global in May. Created by Vincent Shiao, with Jackie May serving as showrunner and Canadian Screen Award winner T.J. Scott as director, Departure centers on the mystery of The Queen of the Narrows ferry, destined for St. John’s Newfoundland, which sinks in record time with many of its 500 passangers on board.

“As a coalition of creators and performers we support the Smart Fund, a new scheme that could help to bring cultural and economic renewal to the whole of the U.K. The fund could generate £250-£300 [$346-415] million a year for the creative sector, and boost a wider U.K. economic recovery, by placing a small levy on the sale of devices that enable people to store and download creative content, such as mobile phones, laptops and personal computers. This would provide a direct way for tech companies to invest in culture,” the artists wrote in a letter to U.K. newspaper The Times on Tuesday.
