Review: Apple knew it had something on its hands when it renewed Your Friends and Neighbors before the first season premiered. When you land a star vehicle led by Jon Hamm and created by the showrunner of Banshee, Warrior, and See, you don’t take any risks. Apple TV+’s new series “Your Friends & Neighbors” is not only a dark comedy but also a cynical look at wealthy and aspiring one-percenters at mid-life. A strong cast of talented actors bring magic into the dynamic nine-episode drama, which has already received a Season 2 renewal.
A story involving rich, unaware people also has to have some humor and this one does. Creator and showrunner Jonathan Trooper and executive producer Jon Hamm focus on people’s need to acquire and hold onto so many prestige items. At one point, Hamm’s character exclaims, “When is it enough and really, what is the point of all this s—t?”
But back to the strong casting, although good in most of his roles, if there’s one type Hamm has nailed, it’s the uber successful businessman. He recently played a stressed oil mogul in “Landman” and before that, a Jeff Bezos...

Jason Momoa is returning to Apple TV+ in an epic new historical drama and we’ve got a first look!
Jason Momoa has blossomed into one of the most reliable TV and movie stars in Hollywood. Two decades after his breakout turn in Baywatch: Hawaii, followed by Stargate: Atlantis, Momoa is now a huge star, mostly for playing Aquaman in the Dceu, Dune, and the villain in Fast X.
Momoa is also known for his TV work, including playing Khal Dogo in Game of Thrones, the crime drama Frontier, and the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama See. That adventure took place in a distant future where a plague renders humanity blind. Momoa played a tribal leader protecting a pair of sighted children with a good three-season run.
Now, Momoa is coming back to Apple TV+ in the new historical drama Chief of War. The first look promises another great turn for the action star!

Does Hacks need to watch out for Only Murders in the Building? How many new comedy can break in? Awards Magnet hosts Christopher Rosen and Joyce Eng make their first Emmy predictions in the comedy categories.
Reigning Best Comedy Series champ Hacks is in first place in the Gold Derby odds, with former champ The Bear right behind in second. But what if Hacks' closest competition is Only Murders in the Building? The Hulu hit, which is in third place, is coming off two surprise Screen Actors Guild Awards wins for ensemble and actor for Martin Short, while The Bear failed to win a major guild award in the winter for its divisive third season. Last year, Only Murders also cracked series regular acting categories outside of Best Comedy Actor for the first time, including for Selena Gomez in Best Comedy Actress. Severance is the most popular show on Apple TV+, recently eclipsing previous champion Ted Lasso. The second season just wrapped up with a banger of a finale that has left fans thirsty for more. And now, Apple has officially announced on Twitter/X that the show has been renewed for season 3.
There was little doubt of this happening. The show is great and people love it; of course it's going to get renewed. The one niggle was a recent report from The Information that claimed that Apple is losing a billion dollars a year on streaming; it's spent about $5 billion per year on Apple TV+ since the service started in 2019, although according to The A.V. Club they've decided to cut that down to a lean 4.5 billion dollars. Apparently, as of last summer, Apple TV+ accounted for just 2% of TV viewing in the U.S.

Last summer, it was revealed that Hasbro's Power Rangers "cinematic universe," which was expected to include both an original television show alongside a slate of movies, had been scrapped by Netflix despite being in development for over two years.
Jonathan Entwistle (The End of the F***ing World) was originally set to oversee the franchise with Jenny Klein (Jessica Jones) serving as showrunner. Reboot plans subsequently stalled and it sounded like Hasbro was going back to the drawing board to figure out how best to monetize the iconic TV series the '90s kids among you will so fondly remember.
Today, The Wrap (via SFFGazette.com) has revealed that Percy Jackson and the Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks to write, produce, and serve as showrunners for a new live-action TV series.

Exclusive: See-Saw Films is understood to be plotting an English-language remake of Trust No One, the highly-anticipated Israeli spy series that will launch in a few days time on Keshet 12 and then Netflix.
The Slow Horses maker, which has just been acquired by Mediawan, is in early-stage development on the project after striking its first deal with Israeli major Keshet, we understand. We are told creatives and casting are still being ironed out and no network is attached. The Israeli version, which launches on March 17, comes from prolific local creatives Ron Leshem, Amit Cohen and Daniel Amsel.
Trust No One stars Yehuda Levi (A Body That Works) as Itamar, the youngest ever head of Israel’s most powerful security agency. Itamar faces his greatest challenge when a cyber leak exposes his agents, starting with Shuruk (Luna Mansour). To combat the leak, he turns to Yali (Yael Elkana), a former cybersecurity expert.

In back-to-back acceptance speeches — Gaga for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Keys for the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award — the artists directly addressed policies of the Donald Trump administration rolling back transgender rights and attacking diversity, equity, and inclusion (Dei) hiring practices.
“This is not the time to shut down the diversity of voices,” Keys declared at the podium. “We’ve seen on this stage talented, hardworking people from different backgrounds, with different points of view, and it changes the game. Dei is not a threat, it’s a gift.”

The wait is finally over to see Gwendoline Christie return to Must See TV. The actor spoke to Entertainment Weekly about appearing in Season 2 of Severance. Christie first fought her way into fans' hearts as the skilled but ostracized fighter Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones. She was a fan-favorite on the HBO series, which lasted for eight seasons. Now Christie finds her way to another water cooler series, one she tells the outlet she was ecstatic about joining.

Jason Momoa will soon be debuting as Lobo in James Gunn and Peter Safran's rebooted DC Universe, and new Dcu art has now brought this perfect casting to life. Jason Momoa made his DC debut as Arthur Curry's Aquaman in a cameo in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before making his first full appearance in 2017's Justice League. Jason Momoa's casting as Aquaman was always a curious choice, but the Game of Thrones and See actor has recently been recast, and his new role couldn't be more perfect.
A year after the disappointing release of 2023's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the Dceu's final movie, Jason Momoa confirmed that he has now been recast as Lobo for Gunn and Safran's rebooted DC Universe. Momoa revealed that he'd always wanted to play DC Comics' hardened bounty hunter, Lobo, and is now expected to debut in the Milly Alcock...

As much as we love seeing how a season wraps up, we know that it means a wait for the next season. We have that wait on our hands now for Silo season 3.
The second season has wrapped up in a spectacular way. It’s brought the Hugh Howey novels to life in ways I wasn’t sure were possible, and now there is a dystopian void to fill. The great news is there are a lot of other shows out there similar to Silo.
Okay, they don’t have the twisty mess of the underground world. However, they do have rebellion, secrets and lies, and the need to survive. Here are five shows to watch next.

Let’s start with the another series based on other material. Snowpiercer was based on both a graphic novel and a movie of the same name.

Now You See Me's elaborate heist movie sees a group of magicians, regarded as "The Four Horsemen," performing public illusions during their shows that allow the group to commit a series of thefts. The films are closely associated with their remarkable sleight of hand, which begs the question of how real the magic tricks in the Now You See Me franchise are. The team is comprised of J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), and Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), though the cast expands in the Now You See Me sequel.
Both movies in the series showcase some incredibly impressive feats of magic that keep the audience both on-screen and in real life thoroughly entertained. “Apple Cider Vinegar,” Netflix’s limited series about the fraudulent Australian influencer Belle Gibson premiering on Feb. 6, has a new trailer.
The official logline reads, “Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true.” Netflix bills “Apple Cider Vinegar” as a “true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.”
In the trailer, Belle (Kaitlyn Dever) seeks out to meet Milla Blake (Alycia Debnam-Carey), a popular blogger who actually has cancer, though they soon become rivals. Milla’s friend Chanelle (Aisha Dee) tells Milla that Belle “just wants me to help her out a bit,...

Back to the Future is one of the most beloved trilogies of all time, with the time-traveling franchise being a staple of the '80s. Released in 1985, the original Back to the Future is one of the best 1980s movies of all time, and also one of the greatest time travel movies of all time, cementing itself in pop culture history forever. All three films in the Back to the Future trilogy put the time travel concept to great use, and the film's unique time machine, the DeLorean, is arguably the most iconic movie car of all time.
Despite the trilogy's massive popularity, Back to the Future 4 never happened, and a reboot seems unlikely, given that creators Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale don't want it to happen. Still, it's okay to want to see another installment in the Back to the Future franchise, and a certain concept trailer for a...

Jason Momoa has officially been cast as the Dcu’s Lobo, and I think he’ll be even better than he was as the Dceu’s Aquaman. Jason Momoa’s portrayal of Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, in the Dceu timeline was captivating. He brought a rugged charm and surfer-dude swagger to a character once mocked as the "fish-talking superhero." Momoa’s Aquaman revitalized the character’s image in pop culture. Now, with the Dcu reboot under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s leadership, Momoa is ready to embody another dynamic character who he is absolutely perfect for: Lobo.
With Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, the Dcu is establishing many of its key cast and characters. Among these is the interstellar bounty hunter, Lobo, who debuts in the Dcu’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Jason Momoa’s enthusiasm for DC is well-documented. Mohanlal Aashirvad Cinemas announcement (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Mohanlal, widely revered as the ‘Complete Actor,’ faced a challenging year in 2024. While he ended 2023 on a high note with the success of Neru in December, his two major releases this year fell short of expectations, failing to impress both critics and audiences alike.
At the start of 2024, his much-anticipated, big-budget collaboration with director Lijo Jose Pellissery, Malaikottai Vaaliban, didn’t resonate with audiences and turned out to be a significant disappointment. Later in the year, after multiple delays and reschedules, his directorial debut, Barroz: Guardian of Treasures, also underperformed at the box office despite Mohanlal playing the lead.
However, there is exciting news on the horizon. According to social media buzz, Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas, Mohanlal’s long-time production partner, is gearing up to announce five new films on January 25, 2025. The first project is rumored to be titled Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

It's been the easiest fancasting in history, and arguably the worst-kept secret in CBMs, but it is official that Jason Momoa is coming back to the DC fold and will appear in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as the beloved anti-hero Lobo.

This is news that nerd nation has harped on since the hopeful renewal of Krypton: Season 3. Maybe earlier. In 2022, THR broke news that Jason Momoa had already met with James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss "possibilities" about the alien bounty hunter coming to life and roaring along on prized Spacehog.
"Sources say the actor would lead another movie or franchise. The character of Lobo, a foul-mouthed cigar-chomping intergalactic bounty hunter, has been mentioned in connection with Momoa," Borys Kit indicated.

Rachel Zegler is playing the title princess in Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White movie and she’s performing a gorgeous new song in the film!
Egot winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wrote the song “Waiting On a Wish” for the new film and it’s definitely going to become a new Disney classic.
Disney shared a sneak peek of Rachel performing the song as a Christmas Day surprise.
“Waiting on a wish / Holding out for someday / Hoping somehow, some way / There comes a miracle to find me / I close my eyes and see / The girl I’m meant to be / Is she a part of me I’ve had to hide?” Rachel sings.
A new trailer for the movie was released just a few weeks ago. The movie, also starring Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and Andrew Burnap as the Prince, will hit theaters on March 21.

Smallville was the superhero show that started it all, chronicling the life of a young Clark Kent before he became the legendary Superman. The show ran for ten years and followed Clark from his first year in high school and into adulthood. Clark struggles to understand who he is and where he came from as his abilities grow. He deals with first love, complicated friendships and keeping his secret.
When Smallville begins, Clark Kent is a teenager who is only just learning of his alien heritage. He doesn’t initially have all his powers in the pilot episode, infamously only gaining the ability to fly in the finale. Clark’s powers tend to manifest when he needs them most, sometimes triggered by other symptoms—like a sneeze.

"My Neighbor Totoro" is undoubtedly one of the best Studio Ghibli movies. It gave the studio its mascot, and is a perfect movie that's both sweet and cuddly, like its titular forest spirit, but also carries layers of darkness and nuance. This is a movie about how fantasy helps kids cope in times of hardship, which made this the perfect salve when doing a double feature with one of the most harrowing war dramas ever made.
A very early Studio Ghibli production, "My Neighbor Totoro" follows two sisters who relocate to rural Japan when their mother gets gravely ill. While their father is away to spend time with their mother, the two girls have magical adventures with forest spirits.
The film's success is long-lasting, not just because it became the studio logo or because Totoro is arguably the most recognizable Ghibli character and generally one of the most popular anime characters ever.
