Associate director of the movie, Pravin has been classmate / college mate all through my education and that is what led me to this movie. First of, kudos to the team for completing a well intended project, not letting the challenges daunt them and for doing a full fledged release of the movie in US and in India.

The movie speaks about the importance of tender love and care towards your fellow human beings to help each other with the hurts that one can get inflicted by in this potentially abrasive life. If you are not sensitive, your careless and insensitive behavior can take you down a negative spiral, taking others also down with you. It has been a while since I watched the movie and the segment of the stressed out and consequently rude nurse and how she turns out for the better stands out.

All the actors in the movie were amateurs, and towards the end of the movie, there were definite indications of improvement in the performance and on-screen chemistry of the couple. While the movie felt quite slow paced, the multiple threads in the movie interlaced in to keep the interest.

The music of the movie definitely stood out for a first time attempt. An amateur attempt at music can easily go south and feel very empty and pointless, whereas the music of "Avarkkoppam" was really good and soulful. "Kanavukale.." is playing strong in my mind as I write this up - very convincing and complete song and sung well as well.

While leaving the theater, you know what the movie was trying to tell you and you agree with it and you can take that with you. There were snippets of the movie that felt very professional. All in all, it is a reasonable first attempt, with many lessons learned.
