The final scene after the credits, in which the kangaroo says that it doesn't have to have the final word, is the exact copy of the same ending of the original book. Onthe last page of the book there is only one line, saying that the kangaroo doesn't have to have the last word.

After the credits the kangaroo is standing at the peephole and is spraying the K on the screen. Also The kangaroo admires the singers of the closing song while Marc-Uwe is complaining that the kangaroo has to have the final word, to which the kangaroo replied (with its final word): "No, I don't".
