If you're a pro wrestling fan, chances are you'll know who Austin Theory is. A rising star on the SmackDown brand, he's a former United States Champion and Money in the Bank briefcase holder; Theory also won the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside Grayson Waller at WrestleMania this year.
However, while he was still trying to break into WWE, Theory did some work as an extra in various Hollywood productions based in Atlanta, Georgia. Among them was Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The WWE Superstar played a prison inmate during the movie's mid-credits scene when Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) and Mac Gargan (Michael Mando) come face-to-face. According to Theory, they shot that sequence in a legit prison...with real inmates behind bars!

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe hasn’t been faring too well since teaming up with the MCU. Don’t get me wrong, Spider-Man’s standalone movies within the MCU have been an absolute triumph, swinging from one spectacular hit to the next. But let’s be honest, Sony’s left holding the bag of Spidey villains, and while Venom has been a surprisingly successful antihero, the rest hasn’t exactly made the leap from potential to profitable.

It’s fair to say the franchise started with promise but now teeters on the edge, with Venom as its lone, tragic figure desperately trying to keep the spark alive.

Here’s why the Spider-Man suit disappointed Tom Holland (Photo Credit – Instagram)
When Tom Holland first slid into the iconic Spider-Man suit, he expected to feel like a superhero. But instead, he was disappointed. Why? His suit wasn’t ready, so he had to borrow his stunt doubles. And guess what? It didn’t fit. At all. “It wasn’t quite as heroic as I would have hoped,” Tom said. “He was much bigger than I was. So when I wore the first Spider-Man costume, it was kind of baggy and saggy around the face and stuff.” It was not precisely the Spidey debut he had in mind.
But here’s the twist: Tom was still living the dream despite the suit being slightly off. The kid who always felt too small—especially in rugby class—was now part of the Avengers. And that’s a flex. Tom grew up feeling out of place.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 Pitch Faced A Surprising Twist From Marvel ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
We’re shaken when Tom Holland spilled some juicy behind-the-scenes Marvel tea. It turns out that one of his pitches for Spider-Man 4 got the big ol’ Marvel veto. Why? Because Kevin Feige and the gang were already using the idea in Captain America: Brave New World. Yep, even Spider-Man has to wait his turn in the MCU sandbox.
Holland opened up on the Rich Roll Podcast, saying, “I’ll come up with an idea, and they’ll say no, you can’t do that because we’re doing that in the new Captain America movie.” But no hard feelings here—he thinks it’s “cool” how Marvel has everything mapped out like a superhero Gps.

Netflix is turning its first live football telecast into a Super Bowl-style affair by adding a music superstar to the lineup. Beyoncé will perform during the streamer’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday Dec. 25. Her set will take place during the second of Netflix’s two games, as the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at Nrg Stadium at 4:30 Pm Et.
Beyoncé’s mini-concert in her hometown of Houston, Texas, produced by her company, Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, represents the first live performance of songs from her album Cowboy Carter, which recently received 11 Grammy nominations. Artists featured on the album are expected to make appearances alongside her.
This marks a power move by the newcomer to the NFL football TV game as Netflix is putting the incumbents on notice with a production to rival a Super Bowl.
Beyoncé has that experience — she has performed during the halftimes at two Super Bowl games.

While the post-Endgame slate has been a mixed bag for the MCU, the cinematic giant did deliver two box-office juggernauts, Spider-Man: No Way Home and now Deadpool & Wolverine. Given the events of No Way Home, fans are reasonably eager to see what the future holds for Tom Holland’s webhead, especially in Spider-Man 4, as many are imploring the MCU to take the character back to his roots.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

Zendaya can easily be one of the most sought-after actresses for any filmmaker in today’s time. While some movies capture this to the best of their abilities, others failed to bring out the true acting genius of the actress on screen. One such movie of hers was Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, in which she had a screen time of 7 minutes, in a 155-minute movie.

The world of DC is making a comeback with shows like The Penguin, a spinoff of the 2022 film The Batman that centers the iconic villain, played here by Colin Farrell. And this show did not disappoint.
We get a look at the rise of Ozwald Cobb, who ends the show as the crime kingpin known as the Penguin. It isn’t easy taking over the gangs of Gotham City. Oz goes through some difficult and dangerous moments as he gets himself in and out of close shaves. It’s been a fun ride seeing him get out of sticky situations, especially with chrismatic rivals like Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) pushing back on him.

The Penguin finally sheds light on Oz’s unhealthy relationship with his mother in a powerful episode told through flashbacks. As a child, Oz had an unhealthy attachment to his mother, Francis. While she balanced the checkbook, Oz would dote on her instead of playing outside with his brothers.
His maternal enmeshment may seem endearing initially, but it quickly becomes unsettling. Oz would rather watch a movie with his mother than play outside and even looks annoyed when his brothers burst into the room, playing “zombies.” This attachment disorder stems from childhood.
Francis makes them play as they all run through the rain-soaked streets of Gotham, leading them to the abandoned trolley station we saw at the end of The Penguin, episode 5, titled “Homecoming.” We glimpse a Gotham public transportation token, and the metal door Oz has been fixated on.

Principal photography for Jaume Collet-Serra’s Cliffhanger reboot is officially underway in Austria, where Lily James defies gravity while pushing herself to the limit. I hope you don’t get vertigo because the reboot of Sylvester Stallone’s 1993 thriller, starring Lily James and Pierce Brosnan, looks like it’s off to an exciting start.

They say it’s been a winding road, but the journey into darkness is finally ready to begin anew. Shadows of the Damned first arrived in 2011 to critical applause, though perhaps it deserved greater fame as its gonzo sensibilities found cult status.
This tale of a demon hunter named Garcia descending into the underworld to rescue his love had all the makings of madness—its authors were none other than geniuses Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami, with music from Akira Yamaoka. Now NetEase Games and Engine Software bring new life to Garcia’s quest under Grasshopper Manufacture’s care, with Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
The reboot pulls few punches, retaining its grindhouse roots as a third-person shooter made for mature mischief. Yet this was nearly a different beast—five tortuous years transforming Suda and Mikami’s first vision, a darkness-tinged thriller called Kurayami Dance, saw publisher demands shift the experience into familiar forms.

The first episode of Marvel’s Agatha All Along starts from an unexpected place. Picking up her broom and flying into another freewheelin’ genre parody that made WandaVision an early delight, Agatha navigates an episode of Mindhunter as creator-director Jac Schaeffer wades into a genre Marvel has successfully dipped its toe in before: horror.

The Penguin had another big episode with "Homecoming," which featured Oswald Cobb up to his old tricks: burning mothers and sons alive together as they embrace. In this case, the mother was Nadia Maroni, the matriarch of the Maroni crime family and its acting head while her husband Sal was in prison, and their son and heir Taj, whom Oz had kidnapped to use as a bargaining piece. Nadia came to collect her son personally. She hoped to double-cross Oz, but he got there first.
Nadia was played by Shohreh Aghdashloo, whom you may recognize as ruthless politician with a heart of gold Chrisjen Avasarala from The Expanse. "I knew that my participation was a short participation, a few episodes," she told Vulture. "But what intrigued me was that my character has an arc. Every actor would love to take an arc, not just stay monotonous throughout the piece. And...

Episode 5 of The Penguin, "Homecoming," opens with Oz Cobb left with no other choice than to burn his beloved car. He and Vic are in this together and, when Oz's men arrive, he promises to cut them in on Bliss. For now, though, they need to target Maroni's son.
Vic helps to kidnap him and Oz visits Sal and his wife in prison, offering to exchange their boy for the stolen drugs. Mackenzie Bock, the chief of police of the Gotham City Police Department, is spotted in a news report about the "gas leak" at Sofia Falcone's home as her cousin's daughter is taken to a local children's home.
Sofia talks her way out of trouble and the Chief mentions that Mayor-Elect Bella Reál is looking to stamp out crime once and for all. Unsurprisingly, Bock was on Carmine Falcone's payroll too.

Caution: This post contains Spoilers for The Penguin episode 5
We pick up off the back of the events at the end of Episode 3. Oz sets fire to his beloved car, and Vic has a chance to apologize for messing up. Oz is quick to forgive Vic, probably because Vic proved his loyalty by coming back when he could have left twn.
Now Oz needs to regroup. That’s not going to be easy with Sofia grabbing power as the head of the Falcone crime family.

The Penguin has been on the receiving end of critical acclaim since its launch a number of weeks ago. It's not hard to see why, as the Colin Farrell-led series has been stunning fans since it began with its strong writing, gritty performances, and incredible drama.
The show is a spinoff of Matt Reeves' 2022 The Batman, which starred Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader. Farrell played a supporting role as The Penguin, but that only set the stage for a deeper exploration of the character. The Penguin showcases Oswald Cobb - or at the show likes to call him "Oz Cobb" - as he attempts to fill the Carmine Falcone-shaped hole in Gotham City's criminal empire.
Though he hasn't yet risen to the top, his plan is very well in place. Not only has he reignited the war between the Falcones and the Maronis, orchestrating that by siding with the latter.

What Do We Know About the upcoming Dcu original series Lanterns? More thank you may think. The Max original series will be the first live-action project on television from James Gunn’s rebooted DC cinematic universe. With casting announcements, rumors, and more, we know a lot of what is to come. So, let’s jump in and discuss Lanterns.
We will see multiple Green Lanterns.
While we met several members of the Green Lantern Corps in the Ryan Reynolds-led feature film, this new series is intentionally plural, as we will meet more than just Hal Jordan. According to James Gunn, Lanterns will center on Jon Stewart, who briefly appeared in Zack Snyder’s Justice League in a non-speaking role. We also know that James Gunn’s longtime friend and collaborator Nathan Fillion is portraying Lanterns hero Guy Gardner in the upcoming Superman movie and will potentially appear.

While Tom Holland has been arguably the most comic-accurate fit for Spider-Man on the live-action front, his MCU entries didn’t exactly shape him as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. From his first appearance, his personal stories were rushed in favor of the Avengers storyline, with Homecoming serving as the launchpad for his association with the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Even though there’s nothing wrong with that direction, Avengers’ heavy involvement, especially Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, took the spotlight away from more personal and grounded Peter Parker stories. Although Holland is hoping to follow in Iron Man’s footsteps for Miles Morales’ eventual addition to the roster, the MCU should avoid it for one reason.

It’s been 28 years since Marianne Jean-Baptiste burst onto the international film scene in Mike Leigh’s Secrets and Lies.
The British actress was barely out of drama school when she got cast in the 1996 comedic drama playing Hortense, a Black middle-class professional who was adopted as a baby and, after the death of her parents, decides to track down her birth mother. Hortense discovers Cynthia (Brenda Blethyn) a working-class white woman and barely functional alcoholic with a very dysfunctional family. The contrast between Blethyn’s Cynthia, all twitching nerves, emotionally raw and vulnerable, and the calm, restrained, often bemused performance of Jean-Baptiste as Hortense forms the emotional core of the film.
Secrets and Lies premiered in Cannes, where it won the Palme d’Or en route to an awards season that would end with five Oscar nominations, including a best actress nod for Jean-Baptiste. Her career was officially launched.

A new week is here, and it's already mid-October. How did that happen? Halloween is right around the corner, and Netflix is adding a few to their lineup. This week, you can check out a new season of a Netflix Original, a new thriller starring Anna Kendrick, and a new horror movie.
First up this week is season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer! Mickey Haller is back! As is usual, he will be taking on a huge murder case, and while he'll have to use all his tricks to win, it's also going to be an emotional rollercoaster.
We've come to expect nothing less. It also doesn't hurt (or help) that he is taking on a client who is accused of murdering one of his long-time clients. It should be interesting! The new season hits Netflix on Thursday, Oct 17, 2024.

Spider-Man 4, which recently enlisted Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton to helm, is scheduled to begin filming next year, and while official plot details have yet to be disclosed, the rumors have really begun to pick up steam over the past few weeks.
This latest post from Mttsh claims that the movie will introduce two new villains, and Tom Holland's Friendly Neighbourhood Wall-Crawler will also have to contend with an old foe.
Possible spoilers ahead.
According to the reliable scooper, Michael Keaton will return as the Vulture. Fans wondered if they'd ever see Adrian Toomes again after his much-maligned cameo in Morbius' post-credits scene, but Keaton has expressed interest in revisiting the character.
Is there a chance Vulture could turn out to be an ally to Spider-Man following the events of Homecoming's stinger?

Had Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 happened, we'd have seen Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker do battle with John Malkovich's Vulture. Instead, when Marvel Studios rebooted the web-slinger, it was former Batman Michael Keaton who donned the villain's wings in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Rather than returning in Spider-Man: No Way Home - which was the original plan - Keaton reprised his role as The Vulture in Morbius. After mistakenly being sent to that world, a surprisingly calm Toomes was freed from prison and later attempted to recruit the Living Vampire to a team of some sort.
It remains one of the worst comic book movie post-credits scenes ever but could the actor show up as Adrian Toomes in the upcoming Spider-Man 4?
"Oh, wow. That's an interesting character, that guy," Keaton responded when Screen Rant asked the question. "Actually, I was there for a minute in the second one.

Sandra Bullock’s Ocean’s 8 is a rather conflicting film for fans of the Oceans franchise. Although the film has several iconic scenes and provides a fresh approach to the rest of the franchise, some tropes and approaches force audiences to criticize it. Per THR, DC Studios and HBO have tapped James Hawes to serve as the director of the first two episodes of Lanterns. Hawes is a prolific TV director, having helmed episodes of Black Mirror, Penny Dreadful, Doctor Who, The Alienist, Snowpiercer, Raised by Wolves, and Slow Horses. He also recently made his feature directorial debut with One Life, a biopic starring Anthony Hopkins as Nicholas Winton, who helped save hundreds of children during World War II.
The live-action Green Lantern series is said to have a True Detective vibe as it “follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.” Kyle Chandler was recently set to star as Hal Jordan. Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge) and Stephan James (Homecoming) are the top choices for John Stewart, with THR stating that screen tests are happening right now.

The Dcu has numerous projects underway, all under the careful guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran. The most immediate releases include the animated series Creature Commandos and a new Superman film set for a 2025 release, along with several live-action shows centered on prominent DC characters.
Recently, there have been multiple updates regarding the Lanterns series, which will be a cosmic detective story featuring three notable Green Lanterns. It has been confirmed that Nathan Fillion will portray Guy Gardner.
Hal Jordan will be portrayed by Kyle Chandler, despite fan concerns regarding the actor’s age. The only remaining uncertainty is the casting of John Stewart, which is crucial since the show will reportedly focus on Stewart, with Jordan taking on a mentor role. Given that the studio has cast an older Hal Jordan (Josh Brolin was also considered), it’s likely that Jordan may either retire or meet his end by the series’ conclusion.
