Joe Force (Matt Jones) is the lead singer of a Guns 'n Roses cover band. He returns home to live with his mother Janet (Jane Seymour) after the death of his father Colonel Force who was the godfather of aerobics. He inherits the family gym but the $8 million inheritance has been left to the national aerobics championship to be paid to the winning team. Joe had been a disappointment with his failing career. He lost the championship in an embarrassing incident to rival Barry Cross (Chris Diamantopoulos) and also his girlfriend Claudia (AnnaLynne McCord) who married Barry. He has to defeat Barry to get his father's money back.
Not everybody is a loveable character. Diamantopoulos does sell the heck out of his jerk character. He's a great foil to Joe. His over-the-top ridicule character is memorable and great comedy. I wish more could be done with some of the other characters. The other dancers could be more outrageous. Tina has potential to be more. The whole show has potential to be more.
