Though Michael Conner Humphreys is best known for playing young Forrest in Robert Zemeckis’s 1994 film Forrest Gump, he went on to have an interesting career after the production. While Tom Hanks is the film’s main star, portraying the adult Forrest Gump as he meets real-life figures and innocently encounters American history in real-time, Humphreys's performance sets the tone at the beginning of the film. A new series of variant covers, tying into Moon Knight’s upcoming death, celebrate some of the Fist of Khonshu’s greatest hits. Later this year, writer Jed MacKay and artist Alessandro Cappuccio will bring readers Knight’s End, promising a bold new era for the character. In conjunction with the first part of the story arriving in stores, Marvel will release a series of variant covers this November showing some of Moon Knight’s most famous adventures.

In the lead-up to the death of Moon Knight in Knight's End, Marvel unveiled the covers on its website; some are shared below. In total, there will be 23 variant covers, each drawn by today’s top artists, that will be featured on books shipping in November. The covers chronicle Moon Knight’s adventures across the Marvel Universe, including some of his most notable team-ups.

Moon Knight's days are officially numbered. While Marvel has teased the upcoming finale of Jed MacKay and Alessandro Cappuccio's popular Moon Knight series as "Knight's End" and "The Last Days of Moon Knight," the most recent announcement clears up some of the ambiguity: the end of Marc Spector's journey—and perhaps his death—is coming.

Kicking off this October, "The Last Days of Moon Knight" (previously also referred to as "Knight's End") is a three-part story arc concluding MacKay and Cappuccio's phenomenal run. The phrase "Last Days" in Marvel titles has often foreshadowed the death of the character, and Marvel's announcement promises this to be the "end" of the current Moon Knight era. The publisher titled its announcement, "Marvel Comics Presents: The Death of Moon Knight" and also says that it will serve as "the beginning of a new chapter." Check out the full synopsis below:
