Nia Long and Idina Menzel in Beaches (2017)
Two girls meet by chance on the Venice Boardwalk and, though worlds apart in lifestyle, embark on a lifelong friendship. CC (Idian Menzel) is an aspiring singer who is discovered by a director who gives her a first big shot. Hillary (Nia Long) is the daughter of a prominent civil rights lawyer who struggles to find her own destiny. Their friendship, even with its ups and downs, sustains them for decades.

    Idina Menzel terrible acting

    I have seen the movie in the past and loved it. Loved how the writers made the movie to where it is not exactly the same as the old one. Idina Menzel was absolutely terrible at acting. The Singing was good. Acting was not natural for her. Nia Long was great as her character.
