The Victorious centres around the tragic and accidental shooting of a young child by Private William Davis on the journey to the trenches. After being projected into the the front line, Davis' mental state deteriorates as he struggles with the burden of his guilt and his intensifying PTSD. Antagonised by the German onslaught, doubled with the pressure from his own men to function as a soldier and kill again, Davis struggles to stabilise.
