Digital Native Velaikaaran-2.jpgDigital NativeVelaikkaran, to release on December 22, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. For one, it has Siva Karthikeyan and Nayanthara pairing up for the first time and the star cast also includes the Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil making his debut in the Tamil film industry. During a promo event in Kerala, Siva Karthikeyan heaped praises on his co-stars Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara which proves that he thoroughly enjoyed working with them. Siva Karthikeyan, speaking at the event, said that he bonded well with Fahadh on the sets. During a press meet held there recently, Sivakarthikeyan said, “I have learnt a lot, especially from brother Fahadh Faasil. You all would have seen his work in Malayalam, but his role in Velaikkaran is something that he hasn’t done before. Initially, I wondered how I would measure up to him, but Raja had written the characters and the scenes so beautifully that I feel I have done justice to the role.” On his lead pair Nayanthara, Siva said that she has evolved as an actor through these years and aspiring young woman actors should take her up as the role model. He lauded her for taking women-centric films to a new level. Velaikkaran, written and directed by Mohan Raja, is bankrolled by Rd Raja under his banner 24Am Studios. The film’s technical crew includes Anirudh Ravichander for music, Ramji for cinematography and Ruben and Vivek Harshan for editing. The star cast of the film includes Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles with Prakash Raj, Sneha, Rj Balaji, Sathish, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan and Robo Shankar in supporting roles. Touted to be an action thriller, reports are that Velaikkaran is based on food adulteration and the lead star’s fight against it. Enanble Notification: NoTNM Marquee: No...

Sean and Catherine Lowe arearguably the most successful couple in Bachelor history. They're the only example of a Bachelor proposing to a woman on the reality show and marrying her, and they're even still hitched! Et spoke with them on the phone as they geared up to celebrate their four-year wedding anniversary in January.
"First, you have to commit," Sean says of the secret to their marital success. "Especially coming off of a show like The Bachelor. You’re being pulled in 1,000 different directions and you have to ... make each other your No. 1 priority."
"It takes a lot of work," he continues. "Surround yourself with good people, good couples you can look up to and ask advice from. ... As a married man you alter your ways and do what you can to please your spouse. I think we both do a good job of that. It’s all about committing through good times or bad. ... Get a look at what Guillermo del Toro's Justice League Dark movie might have looked like.
The Justice League Dark movie has had a long and tortured road, and there's no end in sight. This is a project which would focus on the magical and monstrous corners of the Dceu, featuring characters like Swamp Thing, John Constantine, and others, and it has been in development at Warner Bros for something on the order of five years. For much of that time, Guillermo del Toro was in charge of development, with an eye on directing.
But as with many of Warner Bros' DC superhero movies, nothing has been easy when it comes to Justice League Dark. For one thing, it was once known as Dark Universe, but Universal came along and snatched that name up for their (now apparently dead) shared cinematic universe of action/horror flicks...

Any self-respecting fan of the Hallmark Channel’s many romance movies should be familiar with actor Andrew Walker. Perhaps you saw him woo a movie starlet in Date With Love. Or maybe he warmed your heart in Love on Ice. Or you were swept away by him in Bridal Wave. Or you watched him find A Bride for Christmas. Needless to say, Walker has starred in a lot of romantic tales for the network. But this December, you’ll have to tune into a different channel to watch the Hallmark mainstay’s latest love story.

While Donald Trump’s Department of Justice has thrown a huge monkey wrench into one media-mega-merger by suing At&T to block its planned acquisition of Time Warner, will Disney’s proposed $52.4-billion purchase of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets meet a similar fate? Antitrust experts say that’s unlikely. “This merger will happen, maybe with some tinkering around the edges,” George Hay, an anti-trust professor at Cornell law school who worked in the government’s anti-trust division in the 1970s, told TheWrap. For one thing, Hay said, “there’s no elimination of any competition” among the Hollywood studios that would create a monopoly.

2017-12-15T06:55:11-08:00Will Disney Kill Deadpool and the X-Men?
Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox means that some estranged Marvel characters are being brought back into the fold. That means a potential meeting between characters like Deadpool, Wolverine, and The Avengers. But also might mean that some charactes get lost in the shuffle and others - ahem, Deadpool - are altered to fit the Disney brand.
Via The Hollywood Reporter.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a lot bigger, but some fear that it may become too crowded.
The announced Disney-Fox deal is a big step forward in Marvel reclaiming many of the characters it lost in the 1990s as it licensed them out to stave off bankruptcy. The respective characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four universes will finally join the Marvel Studios fold.
On one level, it could not have come at a more precipitous time.

It’s easy to understand why Michael Fassbender hasn’t been floated as a potential Best Actor nominee for his work in “Alien: Covenant.” For one thing, the Oscars seldom acknowledge the fact that great acting can sometimes be found in massive summer tentpoles, even ones that underwhelm at the box office. For another, it would prove difficult to honor Fassbender’s work without splitting the vote or committing some kind of category fraud, as the guy plays two different roles in the film, improbably delivering both of the most brilliant performances in any blockbuster since “The Dark Knight.”
Also, it’s worth remembering that — in the long and illustrious history of the Academy Awards — no one has ever won for playing two androids who make out with each other on a remote alien planet during the middle of a slow-motion genocide. You can google that to confirm.

The Golden Globes are traditionally TV’s awards disrupters. With so many new shows nominated, it elevates them long enough to (potentially) make a difference at the Emmys. But the SAG Awards are a more telling barometer of industry enthusiasm.
Actors make up a large chunk of the TV Academy membership — much more so than the 80-odd members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — which means seeing what they’re rewarding in December can often predict what might be a player when Emmy season begins next spring.
With so many shows launching in April to take advantage of Emmy voting, series that premiere in the fall need Globes and SAG Awards love to keep buzz alive through the winter and into the spring. Shows like “The Deuce,” “Glow,” “Ozark,” “Mindhunter,” “Godless,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and “Smilf” are aiming for a little extra attention right now.

After two months of building conflicts between the Alexandrians and their allies and Negan and his Saviors, things came to a head this week as The Walking Dead season 8 reached its explosive and emotional midseason finale.
In “How It’s Gotta Go,” all the ongoing plotlines from the front half of the season converged in some exciting ways. For one, it didn’t all go down quite as Rick had been hoping for. Despite his best efforts to run a tight ship, Andrew Lincoln’s leader has had to deal with a rogue element these past few weeks in Norman Reedus’ Daryl, whose gambit to ram a truck into the Sanctuary totally backfired. Instead of setting a horde of walkers on them, it freed them from their confinement, teeing up this week’s showdown as Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s villain set off for Alexandria wanting blood.

It’s been a busy year for the Netflix arm of the McU. After the disappointment that was Iron Fist, things picked up again with the long-awaited Defenders miniseries. Not to mention The Punisher, which arrived just last month. But now the streaming giant has reminded us that there’s even more awesomeness to come next year, and they’ve done so with this brand new trailer for Jessica Jones season 2.
The short, 55-second preview reminds us of why we fell for Krysten Ritter’s anti-heroine private eye in her debut season back in 2015. With Heart’s “Barracuda” on the soundtrack, we dive right back into Jessica’s world of detective work, fist fights and heavy drinking. It doesn’t give us much in regards to what season 2 will actually be about, but it does offer a few hints at what we can expect.

With all the talk of Sony’s live-action Spider-Man spinoff franchise, let’s not forget that the studio has an animated feature coming out in the near future, too. Titled Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, it will act as the cinematic debut of Miles Morales, Peter’s successor as Spider-Man in the comics, as played by Dope actor Shameik Moore. Joining him will be Liev Schreiber and Mahershala Ali and earlier today, Sony finally lifted the lid on the project, giving us the first trailer for the film.
Seen above (with the international version below), this is a wild and unexpected first look at Into the Spider-Verse. For one, the visuals are absolutely gorgeous, with a cel animation style that works perfectly. Again, it’s not at all what we were expecting, but we definitely dig it. There’s also the interesting tease that there are multiple versions of Spider-Man in this universe which,...

This week the Guardian’s film critic presented his shortlist of 2017’s most awards-worthy movies, directors and actors. Here, he talks to arts editor Liese Spencer about the realities of reviewing, the worst thing he’s watched, and getting it wrong …
The Braddies 2017: Peter Bradshaw nominates his films of the year
Q: How did you become a film reviewer?
A: Weirdly, I’d never reviewed a film before I came to the Guardian. I read English at Cambridge in the 1980s when there was no such thing as film studies (the subject was frowned on the way English was frowned on in the era when studying classics was the only respectable thing). In the 90s I was a general Europhile columnist and journalist on the London Evening Standard writing about books, politics, TV … almost anything but cinema. Then I had a footnote in journalistic history when I became the...

21st Century Fox is up for sale, and it seems that everyone wants a piece of them. From Disney to Sony and even Comcast, the studio has found themselves with many potential buyers, and though no deal has gone through just yet, it would seem that things are moving quickly, with sources saying that Disney is the top choice for who to sell to. In fact, it was reported just earlier today that both parties are now having their bankers crunch the numbers and work out the fine print, before publicly announcing the deal. In other words, it’s going to happen very soon and for fans, that’s hugely exciting.
Obviously, the biggest talking point here is the fact that if Disney were to own Fox, and all their assets, that’d mean they’d regain control of many of the Marvel characters that they don’t currently have the rights to,...

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the entirety of Netflix’s series “Dark.”]
Netflix’s German supernatural mystery thriller doesn’t fit neatly into any puzzle box, but it sure is addictive and intriguing. Initially built around the case of a missing boy in Winden, “Dark” quickly bursts through the confines of the small town — not by reaching beyond its borders, but beyond its time. The curious time travel element, however, is a tricky one, and two warring forces are trying to control it. Unfortunately, it seems that many young boys have been caught in the middle.
The time travel occurs in 33-year increments, which creates a curious connection with Winden’s past, present, and future. In particular, viewers have gotten to know the young, middle-aged, and older versions of the same characters that hail from a few major families. Trying to keep the various surnames, generations, and each person’s secrets straight is difficult enough, but throw in a kidnapping priest, arcane references,...

It’s been an important couple of weeks for the Waverider crew on Legends of Tomorrow. Firstly, in last week’s “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover, Dr. Martin Stein tragically died when helping his friends fight the Nazis from another universe. The following week, in the show’s midseason finale, his Firestorm partner Jefferson “Jax” Jefferson decided to quit the team, too.
The two halves of Firestorm were founding member of the Legends and so, they leave a big gap to be filled. In an intriguing revelation, though, the show’s exec producer has explained that a hero already familiar to Arrowverse viewers will take their place on the time machine. Marc Guggenheim told ComicBook.com that “a previously established character from the Arrowverse” would be joining Legends of Tomorrow next year.

Tim Tebow is all about the prom — and has released an interactive 360-degree video to show everyone how awesome it is.
The athlete and TV personality first talked to People in 2015 about a new idea: He and his foundation would create Night to Shine, a worldwide prom for people with special needs. For one night, people with mental and physical disabilities would be celebrated. They would walk the red carpet while dressed in tuxes and gowns. There would be hair, makeup and shoe shine stations. And, of course, there would be dancing.
It was successful beyond Tebow’s wildest dreams.

Alex Garland’s next movie, Annihilation, will bypass cinemas altogether in the UK. A few thoughts on why that matters...
Only a few days ago, we placed Annihilation at the top of our most anticipated films of 2018 list. First, because it’s the next film from Alex Garland, the novelist and screenwriter who made a stunning feature debut with 2015’s Ex Machina - a taut, superbly-made sci-fi drama about the increasingly blurry area between human and sentient machine. Second, it’s a studio film that isn’t part of some huge multi-million dollar franchise - rather, it’s based on a Nebula-winning sci-fi novel by Jeff VanderMeer. And finally, just look at the cast: Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Oscar Isaac. It has the hallmarks of a smart, potentially great genre film.

This is it (this is it), the Season 2 premiere announcement for Netflix’s “One Day at a Time.” So the cast went and had a ball.
The critically acclaimed comedy, a re-working of the 1970s Norman Lear sitcom, returns for a second season on January 26. To announce the premiere date, the cast of “One Day at a Time,” including Justina Machado and Rita Moreno, put on wigs and completely re-created, shot-for-shot, one of the original opening credits sequence for the show from the 70s.

I’ve been watching, among other things, the current reboot of ‘Will & Grace‘. One of, many, many, many new TV reboots that are occurring. Alright, I know, I’m not breaking any new ground, Hollywood’s not that original, blah, blah, blah. Still though, this TV reboot caught my attention. For one thing–really? This show you’re rebooting? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love ‘Will & Grace‘ I actually I might argue that it’s one of the more underrated shows of all-time, and had it not been directly up against ‘CSI‘ for so many years, I think it might’ve won more Best Comedy Series Emmys than it actually did. It’s still one of only three series, ‘All in the Family‘ and ‘The Golden Girls‘ being the others, where every original main member of the regular cast won an acting Emmy for said series. I...

All cinematic lightsaber battles are not equal. This is a ranking of the Star Wars films based on the Lightsaber battles that they portray.
The Lightsaber is an iconic and unique part of the Star Wars universe much in the same way we associate the Proton Pack with Ghostbusters, or the phaser to Star Trek. The inclusion of this futuristic light sword into Star Wars came from George Lucas’ love of fantasy serials, which frequently featured characters with swords. Much in the same way that medieval Knights represented a regal and noble order of combatants, the Jedi represents an individual devoted towards upholding peace and justice. It was only fitting then that they received a weapon that would represent the dignity of their status and charge. Of course, those good guys need someone to fight, and so the major enemies of the Jedi also tend to have Lightsabers.

It’s your duty to restore peace and liberty by climbing aboard deadly wings of steel and fight against their fearsome war machines in bombastic air battles… That’s the basic premise of Aces of the Luftwaffe – Squadron, a former mobile/PC game which has been ported to the Nintendo Switch in what can only be described as a “remastered” edition, improving the sound, graphics and even gameplay of the original.
Very much in the vein...

The world of dating can be a mysterious place. Over the last decade many people have taken to the internet to find their true loves, or, at the very least, someone they can spend some time with. While online dating is a great way to meet people, there are downsides. For one thing, the online dating profile is the first, second and sometimes last impression a person will have of a potential suitor. Because of this, the profile has to be done right, but, unsurprisingly, many people are getting it wrong. There are three major mistakes people make in their...read more...

The more that I look back at the church wedding between The Flash‘s Barry and Iris, the more I think that what that “waitress” said to the groom — “Remember to say ‘I do'” — was at the very least a red herring, and possibly totally irrelevant.
No, I suspect her agenda was not to ensure a proper ceremony but something very different. Something… bigger.
Speculation, and thus possible spoilers, as to The Waitress’ true identity follow.

A little bit of Eugene Porter goes a long way, which is why it's surprising when his step-into-the-spotlight episodes turn into series highlights (see the seventh season's "Hostiles and Calamities"). In a way, this week's episode – "Time for After" – is the sequel to last year's Eugene showcase. As his new allies face a desperate situation, with only a couple days of supplies remaining and no clear way out, he once again asks the only question that matters to any well-coiffed opportunist: Who's going to keep him "vertical?"
But this chapter...
But this chapter...

I’ve long had a soft spot for stories that transplant Batman to different times. The best is probably Gotham By Gaslight, which imagines a Victorian Batman tangling with Jack the Ripper, but I also have a huge soft spot for Grant Morrison’s time-hopping miniseries Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne, in which we see Caveman Batman, Witchhunter Batman, Pirate Batman, Cowboy Batman and 30s Gumshoe Batman. So, I’m naturally over the moon with this new trailer for Batman Ninja.
First announced at the New York Comic-Con, the project is the brainchild of DC and a number of anime and manga superstars. Namely, Junpei Mizusaki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), Takashi Okazashi (Afro Samurai), and Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann).
From what I can tell from the trailer, the movie opens with Batman and the Joker engaged in a typically tense battle to the death, only to find themselves hurled back to medieval Japan.

President Donald Trump has always taken pride in his Twitter following of more than 40 million people. But now, former President Barack Obama is here to remind you that he has more than double the followers.

Vampire movies are ten-a-penny these days: from the sparkly variety to the emo, leather-clad type, we’ve had a myriad of different fanged foes in the movies. But one subcategory of vampire that hasn’t had the kind of exposure its Western brethren have is the aswang… “The what?” you may ask. The aswang – a monster borne of Filipino folklore that has traits of the Westernised version of the vampire, but has also been said to incorporate other monstrous attributes, like that of the werewolf and ghoul.

Though David Gordon Green’s Halloween reboot recently encountered an unexpected setback (spoilers: filming has been delayed into the new year), there’s still a tremendous amount of excitement echoing around the horror community for what is, essentially, Laurie Strode’s final run-in with the masked Michael Myers.
For one, it’ll ignore all other sequels in the Halloween timeline in honor of John Carpenter’s original classic, which is very much considered to be the jumping-off point, creatively speaking. Not only that, but we should also be very, very scared about the story that Green and Danny McBride have rustled up.
Speaking of which, the latter scribe recently spoke to the Charleston City Paper (via Bloody Disgusting) about all things Halloween, and why it’ll pay more attention to creating an authentic sense of dread, rather than relying on gratuitous gore to spook its audience.
The original is all about tension.

It's not too much of a spoiler to reveal that Elisabeth Shue, who plays Bruce Willis' wife in Eli Roth's upcoming remake of the 1974 vigilante classic Death Wish, gets killed off early in the film.
"I get shot in the head," she says of the film, which centers on a man avenging the brutal murder of his wife. "It's very subtle, but then you see me dead in a hospital." These days, though, portraying a slab on a gurney turns out to be easier than it was when Hope Lange did it in the original Charles Bronson film. For one thing, you don't have to hold your...

Kate Winslet Was ‘Profoundly Irritated’ By Her Complicated Character in Woody Allen’s ‘Wonder Wheel’
Stories of actors’ challenges are a trope, whether it’s tales about the physical demands of a tough shoot, or the responsibility of playing a real-life figure. But for Kate Winslet, her latest role came with a different kind of problem: She really didn’t like her character.
“I think I had to accept quite early on, that I was going to feel profoundly irritated by Ginny, all of the time,” Winslet said. “And, also, that I had to stay the right side of the line with her.”
Set on Coney Island in the 1950’s, Woody Allen’s “Wonder Wheel” follows Winslet’s Ginny, a perennially disappointed housewife who sees an opportunity to change her fortunes when she falls for a handsome local lifeguard (Justin Timberlake). It’s a questionable choice from the start, one made even more complicated by the sudden arrival of her stepdaughter Carolina (Juno Temple), who...

We’re now just over a month away from December 25th, and you know what that means – Doctor Who is almost back on our screens!
This year’s yuletide episode is more special than most, though, and that’s due to a bunch of reasons. For one, it sees the return of the First Doctor (as played by Harry Potter‘s David Bradley) as the original Time Lord teams up with his Twelfth self. As well as supporting roles for outgoing companion Pearl Mackie and Who stalwart Mark Gatiss, the special – titled “Twice Upon A Time” – will also be Peter Capaldi’s final bow in the lead role. As you surely know, Jodie Whittaker is set to takeover as the Thirteenth Doctor, with her first scene dropping at the end of the episode.

What are porgs, exactly?
That’s a very good question. For one, they’re the flightless, bug-eyed avians that are native to Ahch-To, the oceanic planet on which Luke Skywalker first comes into contact with Rey. But are they food, or friends?
It’s a conundrum that has stirred up heated debate within the Star Wars community, and we fully expect that conversation to roll over until The Last Jedi‘s release on December 15th. But as part of its ongoing coverage, Entertainment Weekly has today unveiled the closest thing to a porg investigation as we’re likely to get, and it turns out John Boyega (Finn) isn’t all that fussed on Ahch-To’s furry critters.

For those who aren’t 100% familiar with him, he’s somewhat of an allusive figure, there’s actually not a lot of material out there on him, but I think I’m not gonna disappoint too many people by saying in animation terms at least, he’s probably the biggest hack out there. Well, I should say that he’s most known for animation, but honestly, he doesn’t have much of an animation background; he’s spent his whole career producing in fact, and his career didn’t start in animation. He’s not illustrious as a producer; the pre-Disney movies he made, range from the forgotten to the forgettable, until he had relatively minor hit with ‘Cool Runnings’. He...

In case you’ve missed all the behind the scenes upheaval, Zack Snyder had to hand the keys of the movie over to Joss Whedon due to a family tragedy, meaning the reshoots altered Justice League in some major ways. We’re told that only 15-20% of the final cut is Whedon’s, but we suspect this might be underselling it a bit. What exactly belongs to the Avengers director and what came from Snyder isn’t too hard to spot in the film itself, and while a report surfaced over the weekend detailing most of the scenes that had been removed, there’s still been no word on...

At last, the latest Arrowverse crossover is right around the corner!
Titled “Crisis on Earth-x,” the event airs next week and sees the heroes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow collide when they have to face an invasion led by their Nazi doppelgangers from another Earth (Earth-x, to be exact). Previous promo images and posters have highlighted the league of heroes, but this new one-sheet puts the focus on the battle between good and evil.
Resembling the comic book-inspired art poster that announced the title of the crossover the other month, the image sets the Arrowverse heroes (Supergirl, Green Arrow, Flash, Atom, Wild Dog, White Canary, Mister Terrific and Vibe) against the Earth-x’ers (Overgirl, Dark Arrow, Blitzen). And, judging by the Nazi-esque banners on the skyscrapers in the background, it looks like this almighty battle is taking place on the latter’s plantet.

So, the final episode of American Horror Story: Cult has arrived, and it feels like it has been quite a journey. Will it end in the way we expect, or will there be some random twist that makes everything make sense?
When Kai’s (Evan Peters) world comes crashing down around him, Ally (Sarah Paulson) becomes the hero that took down the evil cult leader. Now in prison though and amassing more followers, will Kai manage to get revenge on the woman who took away everything he had?
It should come as no surprise really that American Horror Story: Cult ends in the way that was predicted. Kai is a character that is weak, and has obviously been written that way to set him up for his downfall. Should we be surprised that Ally is the one to rise out of the ashes of his downfall and take over his dreams?...

Room for Tom Bombadil could easily be found in Amazon's Lord Of The Rings prequel TV series. Could this be his on-screen chance?
In a letter to the writer and poet Naomi Mitchison, who had been proof-reading The Lord Of The Rings for him, J. R. R. Tolkien described Tom Bombadil as an "enigma", "intentionally" so, and admitted that the character was "not an important person to the narrative" but added that he would not have left him in "if he did not have some kind of function". Bombadil represents, Tolkien suggested, "a natural pacifist view", a character who has access to immense power but chooses not to wield it, but rather to observe and not to participate in the wars around him. He had a symbolic importance to the overall story (not allegorical – a point both Tolkien and his friend C. S. Lewis were quite firm on,...

The extensive reshoots that Joss Whedon helmed for Justice League are well-documented, but we still don’t know the whole story of what went on behind the scenes. We’ve been told that only 15-20% of the finished product is the work of Whedon, for instance, but that doesn’t seem to tally with how much of the movie feels Whedonesque rather than Zack Snyder-flavoured.
In a new interview with THR, however, composer Danny Elfman goes someway to shining a light on how rushed Justice League‘s production was. For one, he revealed that Whedon only contacted him to write the film’s score at the “very last second.”
“I got the call from Joss very last second. I got the call and it was, ‘You have to decide now and then go to work tomorrow.’”

In a new interview with USA Today, Daisy Ridley was on hand to fuel not one, but two common fan theories while discussing her character Rey’s journey in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Both of these are to do with Andy Serkis’ Supreme Leader Snoke. Though the head of the First Order remained in the shadows in The Force Awakens, he’ll have a much bigger part to play in Episode VIII, and we should get to learn a little more about him.
For one, Ridley all but confirmed what most fans have suspected ever since the second Last Jedi trailer dropped: that Snoke is speaking to Rey about great power in his voiceover (see video above) and not his apprentice Kylo Ren. You can read all about that here, but what we’re interested in today is another seemingly throwaway comment she made.

The comic-themed November showdown between Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League is about to enter the final, decisive round.
With Ragnarok doing gangbusters at the global box office, all eyes are beginning to turn toward the DC Extended Universe and Justice League, in particular, to see what Warner Bros. can muster. Truth be told, early reviews have not been kind to the Zack Snyder tentpole, after many critics openly bashed Justice League for its poor execution and woeful CGI – one review even christened the film’s mega-villain as Missteppenwolf: Dark Lord Of The Uncanny Valley. So to put it kindly: DC’s biggest movie hasn’t exactly got off to the best of starts.
