Jax's Studio City, a bar and lounge owned by Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, has opened to a successful grand opening. The bar features a "laid back, family-friendly" atmosphere with pub food on the menu, and a beer garden with yard games and TVs for sports viewing. Former Vanderpump Rules stars, including Scheana Shay and both Toms, showed up in costume to support Jax and Brittany at the grand opening, hinting at a possible reconciliation. Lisa Vanderpump does not seem to be involved in the business venture.
Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's latest project, "Jax's Studio City," has launched with plenty of former co-stars in attendance. Vanderpump Rules hasn't been the same without Jax and Brittany, but they've continued growing their brand despite their abrupt exit in 2020. There were several claims surrounding their exit, with many believing the couple was fired alongside co-stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute.

Chris Daughtry isn't quite convinced American Idol is really coming to an end.
"They're probably going to bring the original judges back. It's going to be the biggest viewing they've ever had. And they're going to renew the season," the season 5 alum told People at the Ant-Man premiere in California.
In May, Fox announced that the show's 15th season – which will air in 2016 – will be their final season.
The rocker, 35, who finished fourth on Idol in 2006, told People of his days on the singing competition show, "It was the best thing that ever happened, as far as my career is concerned.

Fox is not moving forward with family dramedy “Studio City,” at least for the fall 2015-16 season, multiple individuals with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. The show follows a young singer named Cat (newcomer Florence Pugh), whose family life has been a celebration of dysfunction. Her mother is an unstable alcoholic and her father (Eric McCormack) is a drug-dealing musician. Cat is a survivor, though, and somehow has managed to keep her sense of humor, her romanticism and her dreams alive despite it all. Heather Graham, Riley Smith and “American Idol” alum Chris Daughtry were all part of the pilot.

This may be the most twisty story this upfront. After looking like a lock for weeks, Fox’s drugs-and-music drama pilot Studio City started to fade fast a couple of days ago when dark horse Lucifer began its rapid rise. Things were not looking good for Studio City, which was facing the possibility of being the only Fox drama pilot this season not to get a series order. Fox had not made all of its its drama calls yet last night when Studio City star Eric McCormack announced…...

This has been one of the biggest shockers so far this upfront season — the generally well received Fox drama pilot Studio City coming short at the end. Instead, the little talked about Lucifer adaptation had a meteoric last-minute rise and appears headed to the Fox schedule, to be joined by already picked up medical drama Rosewood and pending Minority Report and Frankenstein. While Fox is yet to make the final calls on its drama pilots, Studio City star Eric McCormack…...

Once you’ve tasted Marcus Samuelsson’s cooking or watched Matt Damon pummel an enemy with his bare hands (on the big screen, of course), it’s hard to get excited about watching some up-and-comer try to pull off an imitation. And that was my worry going into Kelly Clarkson Night on American Idol.

His American Idol story didn't quite go as planned, but now Chris Daughtry is returning to Fox with a different kind of script in hand.
The rocker, 35, who finished fourth on Season 5 of Idol back in 2006, has landed a recurring role on the hourlong dramedy series Studio City, Variety reports.
He will play a drug-addicted rock star and will write original music for the series.
Daughtry shrugged off his Idol disappointment to launch a stellar music career with his band Daughtry – and now ranks third in record sales among Idol alums, behind Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood and Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson.
