Realty TV show about year 7 is incredibly unrealistic

As someone who's been through secondary school, I can say that the year 7 portrayed in our school is completely different to actual year 7. CBBC have watered down the experience of secondary school and, in more recent series, made it look a lot more exciting than it actually is, for example Halloween events and talent shows. these don't happen in most schools. additionally a lot of the dialogue and events in the show seem to be scripted and dialogue sounds forced a lot of the time.
