Titled “Durango,” the official description of the series states:
“‘Durango’ is the story of two Gen Z nobodies, Bunny and Mikey, one a down-and-out waitress, the other a washed up ski-bum, whose lives are placed in peril after they impulsively grab a pile of money from Mikey’s ex (fake) wife, and her current (real) Russian gangster lover. A Bonnie and Clyde for the TikTok generation, ‘Durango’ is a look at love, crime, domesticity, conspiracy and passion through the lens of two young rebels who decide they aren’t going to settle for the disappointing existence life has gifted them.”

Melina Kanakaredes’ Latest Primetime Role Has a Surprising Connection to her Guiding Light Character

Soap alum Melina Kanakaredes starred as Eleni Andros Cooper on Guiding Light from 1991 to 1995. Eleni was the sweet but tough Greek goddess who beguiled Frank Cooper and Alan-Michael Spaulding. After Kanakaredes left Gl, she experienced primetime TV glory with Providence and CSI: NY. But it’s her latest guest star appearance that gave us nostalgic vibes of her soap days.
Primetime Success Story
It has been 30 years since Melina Kanakaredes appeared on the iconic CBS soap Guiding Light. Since her days on daytime TV, she has spent much of her time in leading roles and picking up high-profile guest-starring gigs.
In addition to Providence and CSI: NY, her post-gl credits include the late great HBO prison series Oz, an episode of the Hawaii Five-0 reboot, and five episodes of CBS’s Extant, a two-season sci-fi drama starring Halle Berry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Halle Berry has announced a helping hand to those affected by the California fires. As of writing, the fires in Palisades, Eaton, and other neighborhoods took 11 lives and destroyed more than 10,000 buildings. Moreover, some 153,000 residents were displaced due to the fires. Berry shared that she was packing up her entire closet and donating it to the displaced families.

However, Berry’s gesture of kindness wasn’t well received by some fans on social media. They called her out for offering “clothes” at a time when the families most needed money to rebuild their entire lives. However, other fans were more supportive of her attempts to provide the basic necessities to those needed.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is known for his stints on shows like The Walking Dead and The Boys, having become a household name over the past decade. Before stepping into some of his more popular roles, Morgan played the father of Sam and Dean Winchester in the fantasy drama series Supernatural. While the wayward sons soldered on for fifteen seasons, Morgan’s character was killed off after season 2.

Despite stepping away from the series, Morgan and fans held hope for the Winchester patriarch’s eventual return using some supernatural trickery. The return materialized for the show’s milestone 300th episode. However, Morgan had a very clear clause for his return, which might explain why it took so long for him to reprise the role of John Winchester.

One Tree Hill helped launch the careers of Chad Michael Murray, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Sophia Bush, James Lafferty, and Bethany Joy Lenz, and they're all still beloved today.
If you're diving back into your millionth rewatch of One Tree Hill (no judgment!), you're probably wondering how old the actors were compared to their teen characters.

It looks like Halle Berry is no longer on the case with Kim Kardashian and Glenn Close. The actress was set to star in a new legal drama produced by Kardashian and Ryan Murphy for Hulu, but just as quickly as Berry was announced to be attached, the actress has already departed the project.
Per Deadline, Berry will no longer be starring in All's Fair, a legal drama that sees Murphy and Kardashian teaming up again after their successful collaboration on American Horror Story, Delicate. Berry's reasons for exiting are far from salacious, as it appears that it all comes down to a scheduling conflict for the actress. The news of her exit comes a mere week after she was announced to be joining the series.

Halle Berry is leaving the practice.
The Oscar winner is no longer starring in or executive producing Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Hulu legal drama All’s Fair due to a scheduling conflict with another project, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Berry was joining the A-list cast and executive producing team also made up of Kim Kardashian and Glenn Close, who are producing alongside Murphy and 20th Television.
Hulu and 20th Television declined to comment on Berry’s exit from the series.
All’s Fair is described as a glossy and sexy procedural in which Kardashian — who worked with Murphy on the most recent season of American Horror Story: Delicate — plays a top divorce attorney at an all-woman L.A. law firm.

Under the Dome ended after season 3, possibly due to declining ratings and increasingly negative reviews. The show pioneered a new type of summer TV programming and paved the way for other original summer series. Despite leaving the possibility open for another season, the show ended with a satisfying conclusion according to showrunner Neal Baer.
Under the Dome season 4 is not in the works, but the reason for the show ending is unclear. Premiering in January 2013 on CBS, Under the Dome is the only adaptation of Stephen King's 2009 book. The story depicts the small town of Chester's Mill that, one day, suddenly has a giant, impenetrable, invisible dome fall around it, separating the inhabitants from the outside world. While the United States government attempts to break its way in, the citizens of the town begin to compete for dwindling resources as tensions rise and panic takes hold.

Hiroyuki Sanada debuted in the MCU as Akihiko in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Despite having an impressive back catalog of roles in action and drama movies, Sanada was wasted in Avengers: Endgame. Fans, including myself, are disappointed by Sanada's underutilization in the MCU, having appeared in Endgame for only 77 seconds.
I agree with MCU fans that Avengers: Endgame shouldn't have wasted one incredible actor in a minor role. Over the years, Marvel Studios has sometimes cast superstar actors in MCU roles that turn out to be disappointing, lackluster, or short-lived. Avengers: Endgame's huge character roster, comprising most of the then-current heroes of the MCU, meant that any new inclusions in the Russo brothers' 2019 movie were sidelined. Unfortunately, this means that several brilliant actors weren't done justice in Endgame, and Marvel fans, including myself, are still bitter about one, in particular.

Louis Gossett Jr., the tough guy with a sensitive side who won an Oscar for his portrayal of a steely sergeant in An Officer and a Gentleman and an Emmy for his performance as a compassionate slave in the landmark miniseries Roots, has died. He was 87.
Gossett’s nephew told the Associated Press that the actor died Thursday night in Santa Monica. The cause of death is unknown, but Gossett announced in 2010 that he had prostate cancer.
With his sleek, bald pate and athlete’s physique, Gossett was intimidating in a wide array of no-nonsense roles, most notably in Taylor Hackford’s Officer and a Gentleman (1982), where as Gunnery Sgt. Emil Foley he rides Richard Gere’s character mercilessly (but for his own good) at an officer candidate school and gets into a memorable martial arts fight.

Dozens of actors have portrayed characters in the DC Universe, but some of the biggest names in Hollywood have been completely wasted by Warner Bros.' struggling franchise. Warner Bros. kicked off the DC Extended Universe with 2013's Man of Steel, birthing a new cinematic franchise akin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, fourteen feature films and one TV series have developed the franchise over the years, with two more planned to release in 2023, with a number of high-profile actors adapting some iconic heroes and villains from the pages of DC Comics.
2022 marked huge changes as James Gunn and Peter Safran were hired as co-CEOs of DC Studios, intent on rebooting the Dceu into the new DC Universe. Janine Nabers, the co-creator of the thriller series with Donald Glover, said some of Obama’s pitches were “wild as hell” and demonstrated her ability as “an incredible writer.”

In February 2021, The Hollywood Reporter disclosed that Donald Glover had exited his pact with FX for a multiple-year deal with Amazon. This deal will see Glover executive producing a number of projects for the streamer, including one called "Hive," which has already begun staffing a writers' room that includes none other than Malia Obama. In a recent interview with Variety, Glover described Obama as "somebody who's gonna have really good things coming soon" before adding that her "writing style is great." Glover's brother and collaborator, Stephen, echoed the same sentiments, saying, "Donald always says perspective is important, and people with different perspectives are important for a writers' room. And for sure, [Malia] definitely has a unique perspective on everything. So we wanted to hear her stories and have her work with us.

"To every little girl who feels unseen and unheard, this is our way of saying to you: we love you and we see you and you deserve every good thing in this world."
Berry then touched on the power of storytelling, adding, "It can raise our consciousness and help us think outside of ourselves and our individual circumstance. I realize we truly need to see each other's realities no matter how uncomfortable it makes us, so that we might stop judging and stop pointing fingers but rather find compassion and empathy for the others."
She concluded, "This is why I'm so grateful to be standing and living in this moment, where women are standing up and we are telling our own stories . . . we won't always be pretty, and we will never be perfect, but what we will be is always honest and true, no matter how uncomfortable that makes you.

Ahead of the Channel Premiere of sci-fi drama Extant on Horror Channel, series creator & writer Mickey Fisher reflects on being plucked from relative obscurity, working with Steven Spielberg and hoping for life on Mars…
Did you know from a young age that you wanted to be a writer?
From the time I was maybe five or six years old I wanted to be an actor. Going to see Star Wars is one of my earliest memories, but I didn’t quite understand what I was really watching. At a certain point, someone explained to me that Fonzie wasn’t a real guy, he was an actor pretending to a character on Happy Days, and I thought that sounded like the coolest job in the world. I went to The College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati to study Musical Theatre, and it wasn’t until I was there that I really started writing.

Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot) has been cast as a series regular opposite Demián Bichir and Anika Noni Rose in Let the Right One In, Showtime’s vampire drama pilot from Away creator Andrew Hinderaker, who serves as showrunner; Seith Man, who will direct; and Tomorrow Studios.
Inspired by the best-selling 2004 novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist and its 2008 Swedish film adaptation, the series revolves around Mark (Bichir) and his 12-year-old daughter, whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the minimal amount of human blood she needs to stay alive.
