Love sasquatchploitation? Good, then listen up! On tap for you right now we have a brand new trailer for the latest Bigfoot on the block flick, Feed the Gods, courtesy of XLrator Media, which will release the film under its horror friendly Macabre label.

Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife, Diary of the Dead), Tyler Johnston (“The Killing,” “Supernatural”), Emily Tennant (Jennifer’s Body), and Aleks Paunovic (This Means War) star. Braden Croft directs.

Synopsis:

Drawing inspiration from early Sam Raimi, Peter Jackson, and Cabin in the Woods, Feed the Gods marks the second feature film from writer/director Braden Croft. When slacker/aspiring filmmaker Will (Roberts) finds the parents of his adopted brother, Kris (Johnston), he sees the opportunity to get some closure for his brother as well as maybe capture a heartwarming reunion on camera.

Though the Bigfoot flick has already been completely shot, Feed the Gods needs to raise some additional funds before it can enter our lives. Today a Kickstarter campaign has been launched to do just that.

The good folks over at XLrator Media have made a preemptive strike in terms of acquiring the new flick Feed the Gods ahead of this year's Afm 2013, and we've got the info and the first still for you right here.

In advance of the American Film Market, XLrator Media has acquired all U.S. rights to the horror-thriller Feed The Gods for its “Macabre” horror label from Bleiberg Entertainment’s genre label Compound B.

The film, which stars Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife, Diary of the Dead), Tyler Johnston (“The Killing,” “Supernatural”), Emily Tennant (Jennifer’s Body), and Aleks Paunovic (This Means War), follows the journey of two brothers in search of their long lost parents. Their quest leads them to Tendale, a small mountain town that is home to a mythical Bigfoot-like creature with a “taste for tourists.”

Production wrapped last month in Vancouver and surrounding areas.

Photographer and production designer Chad Michael Ward marks his feature directorial debut on the story about a doctor whose research into a panacea goes out of control.

Pearry Teo will produce through his Pearry Teo Presents label aimed at discovering emerging genre talent. Rosie Zwaduk and Elissa Eve are also producing while Ehud Bleiberg and Nicholas Donnermeyer serve as executive producers for Compound B.

Director Braden Croft (Hemorrhage) is again developing a horror feature. This time, the title is Feed the Gods and this film is influenced by others, including Drew Goddard's Cabin in the Woods. Feed the Gods stars Shawn Roberts (Edge of Darkness), Emily Tennant (Jennifer's Body), Tyler Johnston and Britt Irvin. An early poster and synopsis have been revealed for this nightmarish vision. The story for Feed the Gods begins with an up and coming filmmaker. Will (Roberts) is in search of his adopted brother's biological parents. Their road trip takes a strange turn when the enter the small town, where Kris' (Johnston) parents live. The nightmare begins in this mysterious setting. Olivia Thirlby has joined the cast of the Screen Gems and Miramax comedy The Wedding Ringer that has begun shooting in Los Angeles. Separately, Feed The Gods starts production on Friday in Canada for Random Bench.

Kevin Hart, Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco star in The Wedding Ringer. Affion Crockett has also come on board along with Jorge Garcia, Dan Gill, Corey Holcomb, Ken Howard, Colin Kane, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, Alan Ritchson, Mimi Rogers, Ignacio Serricchio, Aaron Takahashi and Nicky Whelan.

Jeremy Garelick directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jay Lavender about a man who provides best man services for socially awkward grooms. The script was developed at Miramax.

Miramax’s Adam Fields and Will Packer produce and Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper oversees for that studio.
