Goofs

In the movie, Grug talks about how he hasn't seen a banana for years, since he was a 'cub' - this is in fact a pretty huge issue for him when he comes across bananas in this movie. However in the first movie, Guy hands Grug a banana (while wearing a bunch of bananas on his head) when they're getting to know each other better. Grug promptly throws the banana on the ground in anger before slipping on it. This happens at approximately 52min 32sec into the first movie.

In the movie when Sandy says "Boom" Grug responds its her first word. However in the first film she called him "daddy" at the very end where he claims the same thing.

In the first film, Gran is confused about the concept of a pet being an animal you don't eat, stating that they call those children. In this film, it is revealed that Gran's hair has been a live animal all along that she never ate, essentially making it her own pet.

In the first movie Douglas is blue with a spiny white crest, but in this movie his face and body are covered with thick purple fur. Nevertheless, this could be his natural evolution.

In the first movie, Douglas is a much larger animal with a very different design and color. In this movie, he's a completely different color with no designs and is much smaller.

Dawn gets stung by a bee , which promptly flies away after pulling it's stinger out of her hand , a bee cannot pull it's stinger out the way it's depicted in the movie , due to the way a bees stinger is designed , it will die as soon as it's stung someone .

When the three men are kidnapped, Phil Betterman does not fall into the ground, but later, when women discover they've been kidnapped, there's an silhouette of him in the ground. The one who fell was Grug, whose silhouette is not shown.

Hopes necklace changes size and shape at least twice .

The gift basket that Ugga had thrown over the wall after Hope walked away is still in one piece and all of it's contents are still in it when Thunk finds it and bring it back inside .

Eep's hammock goes from being in the center of the room to being near the window the next morning .

Guy's clothes alternate back and forth between the old ones and the new ones , and when he uses the stone from his necklace to help Eep set the vines that are holding up the giant rock on fire , the string is still around his neck , but in the next shot when the vines break and the rock falls , the string is gone .

When Eep is writing on her tablet / diary , she is sitting by herself , in the next shot , Dawn is sitting on the other side of her .

Guy is seen wearing his old clothes near the end of the movie even though Hope Betterman claimed to have burned them .

Guy has been living with the Croods for some time now, so how can he or even her family for that matter never notice that she had a peanut toe, and why did he not notice it when he was dreaming as it is very clearly visible?

When Gran is talking to Eep about her boy troubles, she states that she never had boy or man troubles because there were no boys or men when she was young and that she was Queen of a tribe of warrior women called the Thunder Sisters, but in the first movie she talks about how her father traded her to her husband.
