Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaIn her expose on Briarcliff Manor, Lana (Sarah Paulson) says almost the exact words as Geraldo Rivera did in his 1972 documentary on Willowbrook State School: "These images and sounds are far more powerful than any words that can be spoken. But how can I describe to you the way it smells? It reeks of filth, of disease. It smells of death." (Originally: "This is what is looked like, this is what it sounded like but how can I tell you about the way it smelled? It smelled of filth, it smelled of disease, and it smelled of death.")
- GoofsWhen Monsignor Timothy Howard makes the sign of the cross, he does it backwards. It should be forehead, heart, left shoulder, then right shoulder. He consistently does it backwards.
- Quotes
Sister Jude Martin: If you look in the face of evil, evil's gonna look right back at you.

Descent
The series starting very well, tragically by this episodes I really couldn't pay attention anymore. Lana's character arc became a car crash, I could barely watch any scenes with her in this episode.
They ruined a half decent character, her hubris is almost sickening. The episode was so drawn out, confused, and you can really tell this was rushed through the writers' room.
I'll move on to season three but I'm really losing favour with this show. It's a massive shame, but clearly declining viewing figures forced them to change direction, rather than keeping it fresh organically.
