So I get that the sick kid is the plot leverage for Tony, but this kid is used so so often as nothing more than a prop. I think this episode is the first time the kid string 2 sentences together...but really it was just a prop piece. It has become an all too convenient tool to cheaply propel characters from one set to another. If this show gets to season 5 and the everything is still propelled around this kids meds...or the sister in laws citizenship status while going to the hospital.... I will be very disappointed.
I get that the show isn't budgeted for anything more complex. But it is becoming more cliche soap opera every episode. The season 1 opening episodes made the show seem like it was going to be more compelling. Maybe i misread that
i would equate this show with "queen of the south". Great opening, but very soapy CW network really fast.
