Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is nearly here and the voice behind Captain Demetrian Titus just got married before the official release date. Clive Standen stepped in to replace Mark Strong from the original game and is taking it all in as the lead of arguably one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. Strong couldn’t reprise his role for reasons unknown and Standen was the perfect candidate to bring Titus to life.

Recasting can make or break a project; however, it seems like Standen has the acting chops to deliver a stellar performance. Acting can take a toll on an actor’s life but Standen remembered to look at the bigger picture and prioritize his significant other on their special day.

With a re-release of the game now available, with some updates and additions, here’s a new look at A Feast For Odin…
Certain things in popular culture – whether movies, games, records or even board games – come with an aura of expectation around them that can be a little unfair. In the board gaming world, products that fall into this category are often the massive Kickstarters’ from Cmon or Restoration Games. For some board gamers (perhaps the more serious kind) new Uwe Rosenberg games are far more exciting than any game featuring a bucketload of miniatures. When A Feast For Odin was announced, it was seen as his magnum opus, which only added to the hype.
And, jumping straight to conclusions, it’s well deserved. A Feast For Odin comes in one of the largest and most densely packed boxes that I’ve ever encountered, with literally hundreds of components to punch,...

Antony Starr garnered widespread appreciation for playing the villain Homelander in Amazon Prime’s The Boys. His eccentric nature leading to some of the most gruesome moments is one of the significant highlights of the show. Recently, in the penultimate season of the show, we got one of the most disgusting scenes when Homelander ripped Webweaver from the middle.
The scene of Webweaver’s death | Credits: Amazon Prime
Although the fans expected to see such a Spider-Man knockoff in the middle of Season 4, it was shocking to see the character getting such a brutal death. However, what is more shocking is the fact that Antony Starr almost became Homelander in the scene by sharing a weird character trait with the supe.
The Homelander persona took over Antony Starr during a brutal Webweaver moment
The Boys never fails to surprise its fans with some of the most unhinged and horrendous sequences.

Former Vikings stars Clive Standen and Lucy Martin got married in Provence, France, on August 31, Us Weekly confirmed. The couple got engaged in 2023 after reconnecting at a Vikings reunion event in Berlin two years ago. The intimate wedding only had 70 guests. They celebrated their love with a short ceremony at Le Castellas in Saint-Victor-la-Coste. Although the day was described as perfect by both of them, some blips occurred, such as Martin forgetting to pull her veil down. “The first thing she said when she got the mic, she was just like, ‘Oh, sh*t! I forgot to put the veil on, gonna do it again,” Standen revealed. This interaction quickly made everyone laugh. Standen, who’s currently on The Morning Show, spoke candidly about the love fest that occurred. “I got to the point where she’s my person and I don’t want to spend an ounce of my life without her anymore,...

Don't let anyone tell you Westerns are dead. They're apparently still alive and well on Netflix, where this week the docudrama "Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War" has been steadily climbing the streaming charts. According to viewership data site Flixpatrol, the series about the early American lawman is currently being bested in the top 10 most-watched English-language Netflix shows chart by just two other series: true crime docuseries "American Murder: Laci Peterson" and inexplicably popular girlboss rom-com "Emily in Paris."
If your Boomer dad hasn't yet told you about "Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War," let us do the honors. It's a six-episode Netflix-exclusive series that's a hybrid of narrative nonfiction, talking-head documentary, and intense reenactments. Here's the official synopsis that accompanied the show's trailer on YouTube: "The legendary feud between Wyatt Earp and Ike Clanton unfolds through vivid reenactments in this gritty docudrama about the gunfight that defined an era.

Exclusive: After a successful summer with Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Alexander Ludwig has been tapped to star alongside Dafne Keen and Samantha Lorraine in Night Comes, the forthcoming horror thriller marking the feature directorial debut of veteran actor Jay Hernandez (Suicide Squad).
Details as to Ludwig’s role are being kept under wraps. Drawing inspiration from films like Birdbox and The Descent, Night Comes unfolds against the backdrop of a cataclysmic event that threatens to engulf humanity. Two sisters manage to escape the horror only to find themselves thrust into a perilous struggle for survival, tasked with a mission that holds the fate of mankind in the balance.
Written by Hernandez, Jason Bourque and Nancy Isaak, the indie hails from Impossible Dream Entertainment and Big Picture Cinema Group, the latter of which is co-financing with Versatile Media. Impossible Dream’s Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick will produce alongside Big Picture Cinema Group’s Jayce Barriero and Jacky Lai, with Hernandez, Keen, Jared Zhang, Graem Luis, Jason Bourque, Joseph Tuck, Steve Read and Matthew Chow exec producing.
Production kicks off in Vancouver in September. The Exchange is handling worldwide sales and will be introducing the project to buyers at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
Stated Big Picture’s Co-Founder and President, Barreiro, “Alexander has so much range and gravitas – it’s going to be fun for audiences to see the depths he goes to opposite Dafne and Samantha on this intense ride.”
As previously mentioned, Ludwig is coming off of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth installment of the buddy cop action franchise from Sony, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. In it, he reprised his role as Dorn, tech expert for Advanced Miami Metro Operations, which he originated in 2020’s Bad Boys for Life. One of the summer’s big hits, the film grossed over $401 million worldwide.
In film, Ludwig’s other credits include Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, The Hunger Games and Lone Survivor, to name just a few. Also known for roles in Starz’s wrestling drama Heels and History Channel’s Vikings, the actor is represented by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment.

Dune: Part Two was a big hit for Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this year. There's a third Dune movie on the way, but Wbd has lots of other ideas for how to milk this series. Later this year, they're premiering Dune: Prophecy, a six-episode miniseries set thousands of years before the Dune story we know. Paul Atreides won't be born for generations yet. We'll see the formation of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood and get to know characters like Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams), Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson) and Desmond Hard (Travis Fimmel). The Max Twitter account just gave us an advance look at Fimmel, a veteran of Vikings, in the role of Desmond:

The second season of House of the Dragon is over and we likely won't see season 3 until sometime in 2026. But we will get to revisit Westeros before that. Next year, HBO will debut a new Game of Thrones prequel series called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on the Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas by George R.R. Martin.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is an altogether smaller story than we saw in either Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. There's no massive war afoot; there's just a very tall knight named Ser Duncan the Tall and his diminuitive squire Egg, who wander the Seven Kingdoms having adventures. The first season will be based on Martin's story "The Hedge Knight," which begins with Dunk entering himself into a tournament in Ashford Meadow in the Reach. It’s been a rollercoaster ride lately for Space Marine 2 fans and Warhammer 40K followers. Henry Cavill’s much-hyped project with the franchise involving Amazon seems to have hit a dead end, with no news or updates.

Billed as a “searing tale of love and betrayal,” the project is a six-part TV series based on the 2000 feature Faithless, which Ingmar Bergman penned for his former partner Liv Ullmann. The original film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and starred Lena Endre and Erland Josephson. The entire series is directed by Alfredson from scripts adapted by Norwegian writer Sara Johnsen.

Martin‘s book Fire & Blood, the Game of Thrones prequel series takes place 200 years before the events of the original series and it revolves around the internal conflicts of the House of Targaryen. House of the Dragon stars Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otta Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Rhaenys Velaryon, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, and Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole. Nearly 1,000 years after the end of an uproarious era of bloody raids, possibility-defying expeditions in narrow boats, and history-setting battles against the organized and disciplined English, we’re still transfixed by the sheer audacity of the Vikings.
Today, the brutal and largely misunderstood warrior people of 9th- to 11th-century Scandinavia continue to raid our psyches. Each new Vikings-themed series seems to raise our expectations for what’s possible in scope and detail in re-creating their most epic battles.
All three seasons of Vikings: Valhalla contain major fights scenes (among numerous other skirmishes and displays of general Viking bad-assery). So in honor of the series’ conclusion, let’s look back on some of its biggest clashes.
There’s the St. Brice’s Day massacre, Kent on the road to London, the London Bridge, and, finally, the invasion of Kattegat. “Yeah, those are ‘the big four,’ as we used to...

Since the very first season of Vikings: Valhalla, we have seen the kind of brute and dangerous man Sweyn Forkbeard was. He didn’t think twice before taking extreme measures, and he believed that a ruler should be brave enough to make hard calls and bear the consequences of his actions head-on. One could imagine, looking at King Canute, that he had inherited some of these traits from his father, though he was still a bit less extreme and aggressive than his father. Earl Godwin had realized quite early in his tenure that he needed to be in the good books of certain players like Forkbeard and King Canute. He knew that if these people believed him to be a loyal servant of the court, then he would go a long way. Godwin was able to win the trust of Forkbeard when he killed Prince Edmund. Forkbeard, very happy with Godwin’s judiciousness,...

Fans of the hit Viking drama “Vikings: Valhalla” are still talking about the epic finale that wrapped up the Netflix show’s three season run. When the last episode dropped on July 11th, social media blew up with all sorts of reactions – some people loved how it all went down, while others felt let down.
It seems like everyone had an opinion on how the intense battles and personal journeys of characters like Leif Erikson, Freydís Eriksdóttir and Harald Sigurdsson came to an end. Plenty of viewers praised the “damn good” storytelling and incredible performances that kept them on the edge of their seats the whole time. But the way the show handled Leif’s storyline, especially his big discovery of North America, was a major point of debate.
Some fans argued they took too long getting Leif’s purpose figured out. It wasn’t until the very last season...

What Do We Know About Dune Prophecy? More than you may think. With the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel a critical and box office success, it is going to be several years before we see the next feature film in the series, Dune Messiah. Luckily, production on the small-screen prequel /spin-off was concurrent with Dune: Part Two which means before the end of the year we are going to return to the fictional realms of Arrakis, Geidi Prime, and more via Max.
While not much in the way of footage has made its way online, there have been quite a few reveals about Dune Prophecy, so let’s jump in and discuss.
Denis Villeneuve is not directing any episodes
The original plan was for Villeneuve to helm the series in addition to his big screen directorial duties. The series, originally announced as Dune: The Sisterhood,...

You left your home in search of glory, and you found it in Vikings: Valhalla Season 2.
The second chapter of the Vikings sequel series continues the epic, action-packed story of Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) as they seek their fates in 11th-century Europe about 100 years after the events of Vikings.
Before the historical drama’s third and final season rows its way onto Netflix July 11, now’s your chance to get caught up on what happened in Vikings: Valhalla Season 2. Here’s what happened to our bearskin-clad warriors.
The action picks up shortly after Season 1 left off. Sweyn Forkbeard (Søren Pilmark) has taken Kattegat back from Olaf Haraldsson (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson). He installs his teenage grandson Svein (Charlie O’Connor) as king and orders Olaf to serve as the boy’s protector.

Season two of Vikings: Valhalla, the sequel to the cult favorite Vikings, ended on a high. Freydis ended up killing Olaf, who was in Jomsburg, to take her son Harald away. Harald and Freydis had parted ways and were not on good terms when that happened. Harald and Lief, on their way to Constantinople from the colder regions, were surprised to learn that one of the women on the voyage was the bride meant for Emperor Romanos. Eleana and the Emperor were happy with how Harald cared for the woman and delivered her without harm. Season three is Vikings: Valhalla finale, and it will determine who will stay in power after all.
Spoilers Ahead
Where were Lief and Harald?
Seven years later, after the expedition to Constantinople, Lief and Harald joined hands with Emperor Romanos of the Byzantine Empire to defeat the Emir of Sicily. Lief and Harald were hoping...

The following article contains spoilers for Vikings: Valhalla season 3.
It’s the end of an era: Vikings: Valhalla has passed on to the great medieval banquet in the sky. The Netflix series, a spinoff of the popular History Channel drama Vikings, catapulted the story several hundred years into the future to follow the stories of some of the most famous figures from the Icelandic legends and sagas. Full of epic battle sequences, a sprawling cast of characters, and a focus on the increasing tension between politics and religion, the series may have some dodgy bits when it comes to historical accuracy, but it’s certainly an exciting ride.
Netflix announced that the third season of Valhalla would be the series’ last earlier this year, though it doesn’t always feel as though this run of episodes was necessarily meant to serve as the show’s conclusion. Thankfully, whether this was...

Freydis Eiriksdottir’s character has the most fascinating arc in Vikings: Valhalla, and her life changes completely after she finds her real purpose. Freydis became the spiritual leader of the people of Jomsborg after she toppled the king, Harekr, and fought for the rights of the pagans, who had been ill-treated for ages. The last daughter of Uppsala knew that she had to be the keeper of faith and make Jomsborg the last holdout for people who believed in the old gods. Freydis was well aware of how they were surrounded by Christians on all sides, and she knew that if they got the opportunity, they would make sure that Jomsborg’s entire community was destroyed. The way Freydis fought Olaf at the end of season 2 made people put their trust in her. They knew that, as long as Freydis was there, no harm could come to them. Before...

General Maniakes, the character introduced in the third season of Vikings: Valhalla acts as one of the main antagonists of the show, at least in Harald Sigurdsson’s storyline. The greedy character is loosely based on a real-life general who served the Byzantine Emperor Constantine IX Monomachos and his predecessors that even includes Romanos III. Now, the Netflix series has mixed up a lot of historical narratives here, which I’ll try to explain as clearly as possible as I’ll move along with Maniakes’ character, as portrayed in the series.
Spoiler Alert
To start off, Maniakes did take part in the Battle of Sicily where he fought alongside Harald and his army of Varangian Guard, both serving the presiding Emperor Romanos. But here is a twist. In real life, it wasn’t Harald who defeated the Emir in one-on-one combat. Instead, it was a Norman mercenary leader named...

Leif Erickson was one of those rare characters in Vikings: Valhalla who did not crave to be in power or rule over an empire, unlike his counterparts. His goals, aims, and ambitions in life were very different from those of Harald and Freydis. He had sailed to Kattegat from Greenland together with his sister Freydis, and at that moment, if anybody had asked him, he wouldn’t have been able to tell where his destiny was going to take him. In Vikings: Valhalla, I believe, there were two events that changed the course of Leif’s life. The first event that impacted Leif in ways he couldn’t imagine was the arrival of Mariam in his life, a woman he met in Novgorod, and the second was the killing of innocent Arabs by Maniakes, the Byzantine Emperor’s second in command. These two events changed Leif’s perception and opinion...

Before Harald Sigurdsson became king of Norway, he was a military commander who fought ruthless battles and traveled far from Scandinavia. In , the legendary warrior comes to life 100 years after the original Vikings series took place. Now in its final season, this last chapter captures the end of the Viking Age as they fight for survival, seek revenge on the English royals, and clash over their conflicting Christianity and pagan beliefs. Season 3 takes Harald to Constantinople, where he becomes a military leader and guard for the Byzantine emperor, and a rival to general George Maniakes (played by real heavyweight fighter Florian Munteanu).
For English actor Leo Suter, taking on the merciless — and bloody — role wasn’t a simple feat.
Suter is no stranger to the historical fiction genre. From Beecham House to Sanditon, he’s built a repertoire of immersing viewers in elaborate worlds of the past.

Into the Badlands is “a high-octane sci-fi martial arts series” created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The AMC series is set in a dystopian future with humanity in ruins because of wars, and it follows the story of Sunny, a fierce warrior who rescues a teenager with a bounty on his head. They both journey through a dangerous territory known as the Badlands to survive. Into the Badlands stars Daniel Wu in the lead role, with Orla Brady, Sarah Bolger, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Oliver Stark, Madeleine Mantock, Ally Ioannides, Marton Csokas, and Nick Frost starring in supporting roles. Into the Badlands is a unique series with a unique setting, and that’s why it is hard to find a series with a similar setting and story elements, but we have tried very hard to find shows with similar story elements and many high-octane action sequences.

Space Marine 2 is an incredibly anticipated title among gamers and fans of the video game series. It was recently clarified that the game would feature a campaign, PvE, and a PvP mode.
That was fantastic news since the PvE mode is now viral, thanks to games like Helldivers 2. But it seems like the upcoming Saber Interactive video game has, on paper, outclassed the Arrowhead title in terms of PvE.

In a significant milestone for Ireland’s film industry, the second season of Netflix’s hit series “Wednesday” has become the country’s largest production to date, surpassing even Hollywood blockbusters like “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Currently filming in County Wicklow, the sophomore season of the Addams Family spin-off has set a new record in terms of production spend, according to Screen Ireland. This achievement highlights Ireland’s growing prominence as a filming location for major international productions.
The show’s relocation from Romania, where the first season was shot, to Ireland was attributed to “logistical challenges” faced during previous filming. Executive producer Steve Stark, drawing from his experience with “Vikings” and its spin-off “Vikings: Valhalla,” cited an “amazing deal” at the same studio used for those productions as a key factor in the move.
Ireland’s Prime Minister, Taoiseach Simon Harris, recently visited the set, expressing his enthusiasm for the project.

The Sandman is Morpheus, also known as Dream of the Endless. And the Endless never end, right? I mean, it’s right there in the name.
Yet, with the show’s latest casting announcement, it’s clear that producers of the Netflix series The Sandman have the end in mind. The latest characters to appear in the series include some major players in Neil Gaiman‘s climactic tale World’s End, including Morpheus’s son Orpheus, Puck from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Norse gods Loki, Thor, and Odin.
Orpheus will be played by Ruairi O’Connor, best known for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Morning Show. Comic book readers know Orpheus as the son of Morpheus and Calliope, the muse kidnapped by insecure writers in the episode bearing her name. Newcomers to the Sandman story were struck at how cruelly Morpheus treated Calliope, and...

One of the worst kept secrets in Ireland’s film and TV sector has been official confirmed by the local industry body — that the second season of “Wednesday” is now shooting in the country.
The hit Netflix show — produced by MGM Television — became a smash hit in 2023, with season one (which shot in Romania) amassing more than 250 million views and winning four Emmys. It was revealed late last year that the second outing would be shifting production to County Wicklow in Ireland.
But for Screen Ireland, which has helped welcome countless major films and TV shows — including the likes of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” — to its shores since it was re-launched in 1993 (as the Irish Film Board), “Wednesday” marks the “largest production to ever film in Ireland” in terms of production spend.
