An elderly porn director (Mariano Peña) fallen on hard times mortgages his house to film with his former colleagues what will be the best film of his career, "El Alzamiento Nacional", a pornographic parody of the Spanish Civil War. The director wants to make a parody where the two Spains make love and not war. To do this, and without letting his wife (Adriana Ozores) know, he will not hesitate to reunite his favorite actors: the couple formed by Fermin Macho (Paco León) and Saray de la Isla (Kira Miró) - who today run a chicken rotisserie - and Rafa Francés (Javier Mora) , who survives as a low-class stripper, while dreaming of becoming a Latin pop singer.
A crazy comedy with a handful of eccentric characters who come together to make an erratic film set in the Spanish civil war. This group of misfit roles formed by a veteran and impoverished director together with his nephew Pepe - Julián López- playing the role of a botched scriptwriter for the film "Alzamiento Nacional" who left his little town convinced that he was going to film a historical drama and who falls in love with Lourdes -Ana Polvorosa-, the not very bright daughter of a strict military man, who dreams of becoming an actress. Romantic comedy set in the world of absurdly pornographic films being lousily directed by Oriol Capel, starring some of the most relevant and well-known comic actors of television and film in recent years. Within this strange group of quirky roles, in an environment so little given to romanticism, surrounded by extreme and pathetic characters, three nice love stories will be experienced resulting in unpredictable results. The film's absurd plot is a mere excuse to let the actors play their roles without rules or interpretive concessions, including a large number of known actors, such as: Adriana Ozores, Javier Gutiérrez, Kira Miró, Julián López, Ana Polvorosa, Eduardo Gómez, Miguel Rellán, Silvia Casanova, Carlos Areces, among others.
There's also catching musical score from Juanjo Javierre , as well as paying tribute to ¨Hoy no me puedo levantar¨(Mecano) written by Nacho Cano (as Ignacio Cano) and José María Cano. The film was terribly directed by Oriol Capel, Capel is a regular scriptwriter in series such as "Siete Vidas" , ¨Gominolas¨, Fenómenos¨, or Aida', which are mostly played by the actors who appear in this film. And writing other successful film comedies as ¨Mañana es hoy¨, ¨Perdiendo el norte¨, Perdiendo el este¨, ¨Que se mueran los feos¨, ¨Fuera de carta¨, among others. Rating: 3/10. Below average.
