Like the great meth-dealer poet Jesse Pinkman once said, "Yeah, science!" Creator Vince Gilligan's AMC drama "Breaking Bad" followed the downward spiral of high school chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) after he was diagnosed with cancer and decided to make and distribute meth to make enough money to provide for his family after he was gone, so one would imagine that the chemistry in the series had to be somewhat sound.
While most of the audience will have the general science knowledge of Walt's meth-cooking partner and his former student, the aforementioned Mr. Pinkman (Aaron Paul), there are enough people out there watching with a real science background that Gilligan and co. had to find the right balance between keeping the science accurate and making entertaining television. We know they did a great job of entertaining us, creating an entire extended "Breaking Bad" universe with "El Camino" and "Better Call Saul,...

It's hard to imagine that ten years have already passed since The Force Awakens burst onto the big screen. We've seen Rey Skywalker seek Jedi training, challenge the Supreme Leader, face her heritage, and claim her destiny since then. News of an upcoming Rey-centric film is on many fans' minds. But in 2015, Rey was simply a scavenger with an X-wing pilot doll and a beef with Unkar Plutt. Daisy Ridley recently re-watched her performance in this first movie and opened up about the experience.

The actress chatted with Leah Marilla Thomas and Steven Weinraub of Collider, and they said, "The best part about being part of the Star Wars universe, according to Daisy Ridley, is being part of the Star Wars universe. What more does a Jedi have to say?"

Universal Television casting head Beth Klein is set to retire and depart the studio at the end of the year.
Klein, who first joined Utv in 2011, has increased representation in front of the camera through her work, which included Jason Katims’ “As We See It,” which centered around three roommates on the autism spectrum, and David Schulner’s “New Amsterdam,” with characters often portrayed by actors living with the actual illnesses featured in the storylines.
She was also instrumental in the creation of “StandUp NBC,” where diverse stand-up comedians across the country would compete for the chance to win a talent-holding deal; and worked closely with NBCUniversal’s Launch Talent and Casting Assistant program that develops aspiring episodic casting directors during a ten-month paid pipeline initiative.

The Rose of Versailles is a timeless shojo getting a revival after almost fifty years, and the new trailer proves why the series will be a huge hit. The Rose of Versailles is a genre-defining work dating back to 1972. Set around and during the French Revolution, The Rose of Versailles follows a woman named Oscar Franois de Jarjayes. Her father, a military commander, raised her as a son so she could take his place. A compelling historical fiction combining real figures with imaginary ones, The Rose of Versailles is one of the most influential shojo works of all time.
The Rose of Versailles is beautiful, and its historical setting gives it a timelessness and staying power. It actually received an anime in the late 1970s, but it's easy for modern-day fans without a specific interest in shojo to pass the series by. Mappa has decided to give it a second...

Are you ready for some more football? In terms of a “Friday Night Lights” reboot, I have no idea if I am.
As first reported by Puck and confirmed by IndieWire, a reboot of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” series is in the pitch stage at Universal Television. “Friday Night Lights” is one of those titles the studio is always looking to mine, a person with knowledge of the situation told IndieWire; Og series creator Peter Berg, its showrunner Jason Katims, and producer Brian Grazer are on board. Should we be?
“Friday Night Lights” was an incredible show that ran from 2006 to 2007 on NBC. The only problem is “Friday Night Lights” ran for five seasons between 2006 and 2011.
Ok, so it wasn’t all bad in those later years; for many fans and critics, it wasn’t bad at all. It is a Season 4 episode (“The Son”) that’s widely considered the best of the series,...

Two weeks ago, news broke out that Lucasfilm has made a deal with Simon Kinberg to create a trilogy of Star Wars movies. Kinberg will write and produce the films alongside Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy.
Deadline reported these films might be episodes 10-12 of the Skywalker Saga, which started with George Lucas’s first Star Wars movie in 1977—a film that, along with Jaws by Steven Spielberg, changed blockbuster movies forever.
Furthermore, Jeff Sneider sided with Deadline on that, saying, “I’m inclined to side with Deadline on this one, as I’m willing to bet that these three films will be positioned as Episodes X, XI, and Xii.”
He also added that Daisy Ridley’s Rey will return as a key character: “I suspect it’s because I’m hearing that Daisy Ridley will come back for these new Star Wars movies, and her Rey “will be positioned as...

While the tale of George Lucas' long-lost sequel Star Wars trilogy is quite well-known, what's perhaps lesser known is that he also had plans for Episodes X-xii in the Skywalker saga. Throughout Lucas' six Star Wars movies, the original and prequel trilogies respectively, it's easy to see how things changed over the course of the story's creation. Lucas decided to make Darth Vader the father of Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back, and in the same vein, he also decided to make Luke and Leia siblings in Return of the Jedi, contrary to their kiss in the prior movie.
These changes have a legacy of being some of Star Wars' best retcons, as well as some of the franchise's very best, though they also came from a fatigue Lucas had with his original vision. In this original vision, many things were different from what ultimately came to be. Many...

The Diplomat: How Many Episodes Will Season 2 Have? - Main Image
The hit Netflix series The Diplomat is set to premiere its highly-anticipated season 2 this week. However, it will have a lesser number of episodes than usual.
You might be wondering how many episodes it will have for the new season and why it is getting fewer than what we've anticipated. Let's explore its short episode count below.
How Many Episodes Will The Diplomat Season 2 Have?
The Diplomat season 2 will only consist of six (6) episodes when it premieres on Netflix this October 31.
The episode count is shorter than the first season which had 8 episodes, the usual count that we've been seeing in a streaming show.
Despite its shortened season, it will still be an exciting new chapter for the series as it will introduce the US vice president Grace Penn (played by Oscar and Emmy winner Allison Janney).

Did Disclaimer just make us sympathize with obnoxious “sad boy” Nicholas?
Credit where it’s due, Disclaimer Season 1 Episode 5 picked up a bit, if only microscopically.
In the fifth hour, the series delves into the tension directly, and things are clicking into place at a pace that’s slightly faster than sap trickling down a tree trunk.

We split the hour relatively evenly between Catherine, Stephen, and Jonathan, and it was emotional to jump from one rendition of this tale to the next.
But the installment mostly dropped multiple grenades into the field, so we know the confrontation between Catherine and Stephen is right around the corner.

The first episode of Outlander, the time-traveling drama based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon, aired back in August of 2014, just over 10 years ago. The cast and crew have been making the series for even longer. And the other day, they reached a milestone that few series can boast of: they filmed their 100th episode!
Cast members Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser), David Berry (Lord John Grey) and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts marked the occasion by cutting into a cake labeled "Outlander 100 episodes." The honors went to Heughan, who cut the thing with a sword, because of course:

Happy anniversary, Little House on the Prairie! The series that premiered 50 years ago today ran for nine seasons and over 200 episodes, filling living rooms with nostalgia for simpler times and family life in the late 1800s.
The series was a part of my childhood as I watched it with friends, read the novels, and even acted out skits of it with my friends growing up.
It’s nearly impossible to narrow down the most memorable episodes because the early episodes of the young Ingalls girls will always be special since they follow some of the novels Little House on the Prairie and On the Banks of Plumb Creek.

However, the later seasons were just as essential when the series developed Albert and Willie’s characters, and the Ingalls girls and Nellie met their husbands and started their own families.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 Episode 5 opened with a bang -- literally, as Kyle joined Robert and the rest of Swat for a practice drill.
Kyle was more impressive than the Swat guys, so maybe there is hope for him if he goes through with his transfer. The powers that be saw as much potential as we did since they offered him a spot.
This episode dropped a lot of information while strategically covering events outside the prison. We got a lot of answers, and things are in place for viewers to have a dramatic second half of the third season.
We finally got definitive proof that Mike and Evelyn are indeed doing the deed.
Scandalous! Show of hands for those rooting for this relationship. This viewer is firmly aboard the Milyn train. Toot toot.

Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Darth Vader #46
Darth Vader uses a droid decoy to take down the Sith Eternal on Exegol. Vader's decoy tactic mirrors Padm's use of decoys in the prequels. Padm's primary handmaid Sab is alive and searching for Luke Skywalker between Episodes V-VI, and an encounter between the two could potentially set up Luke's mission in Return of the Jedi to redeem his father.
Darth Vader just stole a page from his wife's playbook. As seen in Marvel's canonical Darth Vader series set between The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi, the titular Dark Lord is once more attempting to overthrow his Sith master Emperor Palpatine. To that end, Vader is seeking to hurt his master where it hurts most: his secret Sith world of Exegol.
Located in the Unknown Regions, Exegol is protected by legions of Palpatine's genetic monstrosities and...

David Schwimmer joins season 2 cast of Disney+ Goosebumps as single father Anthony. Season 2 of Goosebumps will feature a new set of characters who didn't appear in season 1. Anthony and his teenage twins will be part of the core cast of the new season.
A former Friends star has joined the cast of Disney+'s Goosebumps. The show, which is based on the children's horror book series of the same name by R.L. Stine, premiered on Disney+ in 2023. The Simpsons has hidden references in the names of certain characters, paying tribute to the famous animator, Jay Ward. Characters like Homer J. Simpson and Bart Jojo Simpson have middle initials inspired by Ward's creations Rocky J. Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose. This naming trend extends beyond The Simpsons, as Futurama characters like Philip J. Fry also pay homage to Ward.
The Simpsons boasts an impressive array of characters with recognizable names, but there's a hidden reference among a famous contingent of the cast. While certain Springfield residents have fairly ordinary names, some are so outlandish they can only exist within the world of The Simpsons. However, the embedded reference in the names of certain characters is so subtle that it's hidden in plain sight.

The upcoming Star Wars film featuring Rey Skywalker should avoid mimicking previous plots and instead prioritize originality and new conflicts within the Jedi and the new galaxy order. The film should aim to strike a balance between catering to die-hard fans with nostalgia and appealing to casual viewers who may not be familiar with the intricate details of the Star Wars universe. It is important for the new film to work as a standalone movie, without relying too heavily on cliffhangers or setting up sequels. The focus should be on introducing well-written and nuanced characters that can bring new viewers' attention and shift the conflict in new directions.
Daisy Ridley is set to return to the galaxy, far, far away, with a new Star Wars film. Slated to revolve around the new Jedi order and the attempt at a new Republican order, Ridley will reprise her role as Rey Skywalker,...

The Star Wars movie saga sometimes gives its heroes and even its villains a second chance. Anakin Skywalker fell to the Dark Side, only for his son Luke to give him one second chance and redeem himself in 1983's Return of the Jedi. Jyn Erso also got a second chance when the Rebellion saved her on Wobani so that she could embark on a mission to rescue her father. But some Star Wars characters aren't so fortunate.
Other Star Wars characters deserved a second chance for in-universe or narrative reasons, but never got them, and it's a shame. Certain characters were written out of the story and deserved another shot at greatness, while other characters died right as they reached their full potential. For the characters' own sakes -- or for the sake of entertaining Star Wars movie fans some more -- these ten characters need another chance to make galactic history.

When Peacock's original series Based on a True Story was released, many people wondered if the show was, in fact, based on a true story. After all, that is exactly what the title tells us, so it is natural to assume that it might be based on or inspired by true events. Based on a True Story stars Kaley Cuoco as Ava, the true crime junkie, Chris Messina as Nathan, the failed tennis pro, and Tom Bateman as Matt, the West Side Ripper. When Ava discovers that their plumber Matt is a serial killer, she hatches the idea to strike a deal with him.

Spoiler Warning: Ted Lasso - Season 3Ted Lasso has finally come to an end. The Apple TV+ series premiered in August 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and quickly became an instant favorite with audiences. The series followed Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), an American college football coach who is brought over to coach an English football team. The series has received rave reviews for its incredible cast of characters and its upbeat, positive tone in an era defined by television anti-heroes. The series won back-to-back Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Yet, unlike many series, Ted Lasso fans have known the endgame was coming for quite a while. Since the beginning of Season 2, the cast and crew had spoken they had a three-season-long story arc. That story arc came to a conclusion on May 31, 2023, almost three years since it first premiered. It also comes in a busy week as series like The Flash,...

It often seems there's a Star Wars story for every character and event, however, there are several crucial gaps that haven't been filled in the canon timeline. The old Star Wars Expanded Universe, now branded as "Legends," had almost 40 years to develop each storytelling era, but even that often had large gaps dictated by George Lucas himself. That entire timeline was declared non-canon after the Disney acquisition, and the current continuity has done an impressive job producing new content in less than a decade. Still, every new story also adds more questions about galactic history. This leaves plenty of room for future Star Wars projects to fill in these missing gaps in the timeline.
The Star Wars franchise excels at raising questions that demand answers, and gaps in the timeline are a big part of that. Audiences were excited about the prequels because they promised to reveal what happened with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi,...

The Mandalorian season 3 ended not long ago, with good audience reception. Although many might think the series has gone for too long, there’s still a story to tell about Din Djarin and Grogu as they take the path of the Mandalore. Jon Favreau, the series creator and writer, has already confirmed working on scripts for season 4, trying to interconnect different stories from the Star Wars universe.

Din Djarin and Grogu reunite in season three of The Mandalorian, which returns to Disney+ this Wednesday.
More than two years have passed since the Star Wars spinoff’s second season, which saw baby Grogu begin his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker (a de-aged CGI Mark Hamill), a path that would mean that he would never see the bounty hunter again.
