A new iteration of “The Fairly OddParents” has been ordered to series at Nickelodeon.
Titled “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,” the new series will see the return of voice actors Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris as Wanda and Cosmo, respectively. Nickelodeon has ordered 20 episodes of the series, which will debut on the cable channel this spring. The series will also be available on Netflix internationally later this year.
Blakeslee and Harris will be joined by Ashleigh Crystal Hairston, who will voice the new main character Hazel Wells. The official description for the series states:
“In ‘Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,’ ten-year-old Hazel Wells has just moved to the big city of Dimmadelphia because of her dad’s new job. On top of being in an unfamiliar environment, it’s the first time she’s been without her brother, Antony, who’s just left for college, leaving her lonely and unsure of herself.

"Fairly OddParents" may not be quite as universally recognizable as Nickelodeon's flagship series, but the very funny series about wish-granting fairy godparents that only kids can see seems to be just as prolific. Though the original animated series last aired in 2017, live-action movies and a live-action Paramount+ spinoff series have kept the world of Cosmo (Daran Norris) and Wanda (Susanne Blakeslee) alive over the years. Now, thanks to a report from What's On Netflix (via Cbr), rumors are swirling that another animated series set within the same cartoon universe as the original may be in the works at Netflix.
The original run of "Fairly OddParents" followed spiky-haired pre-teen Timmy Turner (Tara Strong) through a not-so-great adolescence that suddenly got a lot better when he discovered he had fairy godparents to help him through. Cosmo and Wanda were far from your traditional Disney fairies, though, and pretty much every wish...

Paramount+’s “iCarly” reboot will not return for a fourth season, Variety has confirmed.
“’iCarly’ will not be returning for a fourth season on Paramount+. The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together. We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent,” said a Paramount+ spokesperson.
Ordered in 2020, the rebooted series picked up with adult Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), 10 years olders, as she reunited with her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainer) and longtime friend and cameraman Freddie (Nathan Kress), and sets out to revamp her popular web show with the help of old and new friends. Laci Mosley joined the original cast as Carly’s new friend, Harper, along with Jaidyn Triplett, who portrayed Freddie’s stepdaughter Millicent.

After splitting off from the Daytime Emmys, the first-ever Children’s & Family Emmys ceremony is here.
Taking place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, Dec. 10, the first night of the festivities focused on the creative arts, with trophies doled out for achievements in writing, directing, voice direction, cinematography, editing and more.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the establishment of the Children’s & Family Emmys in late 2021, nodding to recent growth in scope and reach among that programming, which NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp said could “stand on its own two feet.” Indeed, younger audiences aren’t strictly daytime cable viewers anymore — much of the innovation in children’s and family TV in recent years has happened in streaming. Case in point: Netflix was nominated for more awards than any other platform, beating even Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior combined.

A decade ago, on April 11, 2012, SpongeBob SquarePants aired its 173rd episode and thus surpassed Rugrats as Nickelodeon’s longest-running animated series. Since then, of course, shows like The Loud House and Dora the Explorer have sent Rugrats farther down on the ranking. But if you add in live-action Nickelodeon shows, the list gets even more crowded — so crowded, in fact, that our efforts to round up a top 10 were stymied by two episode-count ties. So below, behold in ascending order what we’ve determined to be the top 11 Nickelodeon shows from the cable channel’s history. Rugrats (172 episodes) Rugrats, the Daytime Emmy-winning animated series about talking toddlers, makes the pantheon even without the new CGI-animated reboot of the same name, which Paramount+ recently gave a second-season order. The Fairly OddParents debuted March 30, 2001 on Nickelodeon. The original voices of Cosmo and Wanda, Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee, return to the series as everyone’s favorite married fairies. And in this TV Insider exclusive, they share what it was like to return to their (insert Mr. Crocker voice here) fairy godparent characters in the series, now streaming on Paramount+. “For me, coming back to Wanda didn’t change a thing.

Paramount Plus has announced that its upcoming live-action “The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder” series will premiere March 31.
Season 1 of “The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder” will be made up of 13 episodes. The series follows Nickelodeon’s animated “The Fairly OddParents” program, which ran from 2001-2017 and focused on the adventures of Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo, who magically granted wishes.
The latest chapter is set to focus on Timmy’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall), and her stepbrother, Roy Raskin (Tyler Wladis), as the two face life in Dimmsdale with the help of the fairy godparents. In addition to Marshall and Wladis “The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder” will also star Laura Bell Bundy as Rachel Raskin, Ryan-James Hatanaka as Ty Turner and Imogen Cohen as Zina Zacarias.
