Armie Hammer has continued to try to set the record straight about the various explosive allegations made about him several years ago. Some of those claims, which included – believe it or not – allegations of cannibal fantasies, led to a complete career meltdown for the former star. He hasn’t been seen on-screen since 2022’s Death on the Nile (which was filmed before the allegations) and was recently the subject of a documentary series called House of Hammer.
However, Hammer has begun to strike back against some of the allegations of sexual abuse levied at him. Last month, he appeared on a podcast called “Painful Lessons,” and now he’s taken his story to a more high-profile outlet, Bill Maher’s YouTube series, Club Random. In the long-form interview, Hammer claimed that the accusations weren’t true and that he never violated anyone’s consent, claiming to have been cleared by multiple authorities.

Armie Hammer joined Bill Maher on his “Club Random” podcast for a rare interview since a series of sexual misconduct and abuse allegations derailed his career.
The “Call Me by Your Name” and “The Social Network” star said he was grateful for the fallout because “had none of this gone on … my life would have kept going exactly as it was. And I know that that would ultimately only lead in one place, and that’s death.”
After sexual assault allegations surfaced against Hammer, the actor exited a number of film and television projects and was dropped by his publicist and agent at WME. The LAPD and L.A. District Attorney’s office investigated the claims in 2023 and brought no criminal charges against Hammer due to “insufficient evidence.” Hammer denies the allegations and holds that his often “intense” sexual relationships with the accusers were consensual.

Armie Hammer is speaking out about the allegations of cannibalism, sexual misconduct and an accusation of rape that upended his career three years ago, saying this weekend that he is “grateful” for the experience.
Hammer, 37, was experiencing a career resurgence after he received high praise for roles in 2017’s Call Me by Your Name and Sorry to Bother You the next year, after nearly a decade of struggling to break through following his standout turn as the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network. Then in January 2021, an anonymous Instagram account published what were claimed to be text messages Hammer had sent to various women that included dark sexual fantasies and a reference to cannibalism.
That same month, his ex Courtney Vucekovich detailed to Page Six the emotional abuse she said she experienced in the relationship; Vucekovich said this led her to enter the hospital with Ptsd. The cannibal chatter around...

Armie Hammer has opened up about the myriad of allegations he faced in 2021 and beyond, saying he’s “grateful for every single bit of it” on a new episode of the Painful Lessons podcast.
“I’m actually now at a place where I’m really grateful for it, because where I was in my life before all of that stuff happened to me — I didn’t feel good,” the Call Me by Your Name star detailed. “I never felt satisfied; I never had enough; I never was in a place where I was happy with myself, where I had self-esteem. I never knew how to give myself love. I never knew how to give myself self-validation, but I had this job where I was able to get it from so many people that I never had to learn how to give it to myself.”

When directors Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs worked on the 2022 docuseries “House of Hammer,” one of the many things that fascinated them was the role social media played in the public unraveling of actor Armie Hammer’s reputation. “We were very intrigued by how social media had a huge influence on that story, and a huge influence on the women who came forward,” Hakami told IndieWire. “So we wanted to explore what other kinds of stories there were to tell in the social media universe.” The result of Hakami and Hobbs’ curiosity is “Deadly Influence: The Social Media Murders,” a new series from Investigation Discovery that takes a wide-ranging look at murders committed in the world of social media — and uses the visual and aural language of social media itself as a filmmaking tool to find new ways of approaching the true crime genre.

Murder sparked by bizarre online posts or obsessions? There’s an app for that.
So says Investigation Discovery’s latest docuseries, Deadly Influence: The Social Media Murders, set for a June premiere on ID and Max. A new trailer (below) for the ID six-parter points to social media posts and communities getting dangerous and destructive as they lead to infamous true-crime cases.
“It can get very toxic, very quickly,” viewers are warned. Talos Films, the creators of ID’s Armie Hammer docuseries House of Hammer, are behind the Deadly Influence series, about the dark underbelly of digital age crimes, whose trails started with a venomous community or social media post.
The six-part series premieres June 3 with an episode about a self-styled Instagram “sex and fitness guru” whose break up with another high-profile influencer culminated in a violent, senseless act.

Armie Hammer, who was facing allegations of sexual assault during an extensive investigation, will not face actual charges, ending a probe that began in March 2021.
In a statement regarding the assault investigation of Armie Hammer, Tiffany Blacknell, the director of communications for district attorney George Gascon, stated, “Sexual assault cases are often difficult to prove, which is why we assign our most experienced prosecutors to review them. In this case, those prosecutors conducted an extremely thorough review, but determined that at this time, there is insufficient evidence to charge Mr. Hammer with a crime. As prosecutors, we have an ethical responsibility to only charge cases that we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Blacknell continued, saying that while there are obviously sexual victims around the world, there was simply not enough evidence to objectively charge Armie Hammer with crimes of assault. “We know that it is hard for women to report sexual assault.

Los Angeles, June 1 (Ians) The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s (Da) office has decided not to file sexual assault charges against actor Armie Hammer, following a lengthy investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
In a statement, the Da’s office said it could not prove rape allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, in part due to the “complexity of the relationship” between Hammer and the accuser, reports ‘Variety’.
According to ‘Variety’, the accuser, who was previously identified as Effie, reported Hammer to the police in February 2021.
She claimed that Hammer had been physically abusive during an on-and-off relationship that spanned four years, and said that he had violently raped her in 2017.

Armie Hammer will not be facing any charges stemming from an allegation of sexual assault from a woman — identified only as Effie — who accused the actor of “violently” raping her in 2017 in the midst of a four-year affair in which she claims he abused her “mentally, emotionally and sexually.”

The title might give the game away a little, but that doesn’t lessen the impact of How to Create a Sex Scandal. The new Max docuseries, brisk, brief, and damning, makes a convincing case that an East Texas pedophilia case that sent seven people to prison was in fact a frame job, conceived of greed and a badly damaged moral compass, and still not entirely rectified. This is the kind of filmmaking that can affect actual change.

Investigation Discovery has inked a development deal with TV personality and host Elizabeth Chambers, Variety has learned.
Under the deal, Chambers — the ex-wife of Armie Hammer — will host and executive produce a series about toxic and traumatic relationships, which is currently in development.
A source familiar with the deal says the project will not specifically address Hammer. Instead, it will focus on stories from others with Chambers serving as host to navigate through those stories.
According to the network, the series will explore “the complexities of toxic and traumatic relationships” through “interviews and firsthand accounts of survivors.” The still untitled project will “investigate and shed light on long-held secrets, generational trauma and deep-rooted psychological issues” with the intent to “empower victims with control of their own narratives.”

Elizabeth Chambers says she was learning about ex-husband Armie Hammer’s sexual abuse allegations and fetishes “as the public was,” and it left her speechless.
In a profile for Elle published Wednesday, the former Current TV anchor and Bird bakery owner opened up about how she and Hammer fell in love, how their relationship was reshaped by his increasing fame and how toward the end — around the same time as the allegations emerged — he had become “the worst.”
Discussing how their relationship fell apart while in the Cayman Islands during the Covid-19 lockdown, Chambers offered a different take than the one Hammer gave in a British GQ profile published in September 2020, where he described feeling like a wolf “caught in a snare” and called the tension the byproduct of a “very complicated, intense situation, with big personalities all locked in a little tiny place.”

In 2021, multiple women came forward accusing Armie Hammer of sexual assault and physical abuse. Now, two years later, the "Call Me by Your Name" actor is speaking out for the first time. On Feb. 4, the newsletter Air Mail shared Hammer's first interview since the abuse allegations surfaced. In the interview, Hammer denies all criminal wrongdoing, but does state that it's fair to say he was emotionally abusive to the women with whom he engaged in relationships.
"I would have these younger women in their mid-20s, and I'm in my 30s. I was a successful actor at the time. They could have been happy to just be with me and would have said yes to things that maybe they wouldn't have said yes to on their own," Hammer said. "That's an imbalance of power in the situation."
He continued, "I'm here to own my mistakes, take accountability for the fact...

One-time movie star Armie Hammer has given his first interview since retreating from public eye after being accused of sexual abuse in 2021. Speaking with Air Mail, Hammer denied the most heinous allegations levied against him, but admitted to being emotionally abusive — and said his behavior stems from abuse he’s experienced himself.
Hammer was initially accused of having cannibalistic fetishes and engaging in nonconsensual acts of intense Bdsm. In the new interview, however, he claimed all of his sexual encounters have been consensual and were planned beforehand. “Every single thing was discussed beforehand,” he said. “I have never thrust this on someone unexpectedly. Never.”
To that end, Hammer also denied the most serious allegation against him: A woman named Effie — who is said to be the woman behind an Instagram account which first surfaced claims of Hammer’s history of sexual domination — later accused the actor of violently raping her for hours.

Armie Hammer is speaking out on allegations stemming from two years ago that he abused multiple women, as well as the sexual practices that put him at the center of controversy.
In an exclusive interview with Air Mail, Hammer said that he was sexually abused by a youth pastor when he was 13, which “set a dangerous precedent in my life.” Hammer’s downfall as a would-be Hollywood movie star was tangled up in associations with Bdsm and cannibalistic fetishes that were revealed on social media. A user named Effie, who shared screenshots in early 2021 dating back to 2017, also accused Hammer of rape.
Hammer, in the interview, conceded to emotional abuse toward his past partners while also denying any criminal wrongdoing.

Two years after he faced a series of sexual abuse allegations that ended his career as a movie star, Armie Hammer is attempting to tell his side of the story. In a new interview, he reveals that he contemplated suicide after his downfall and claims he was sexually abused by a youth pastor at 13.
Hammer — who was the subject of an LAPD investigation after being accused of rape — denies all criminal wrongdoing, but admits to being emotionally abusive toward former partners he had met on the internet.
The actor, who was accused of having cannibalistic fetishes, now says that his interest in Bdsm originates from being sexually abused by his youth pastor when he was 13 years old.
“What that did for me was it introduced sexuality into my life in a way that it was completely out of my control,” Hammer says. “I was powerless in the situation. I had no agency in the situation.

Armie Hammer has spoken.
The embattled actor granted his first interview since a sex abuse scandal imploded his life, Hollywood career and marriage, by sitting down with writer James Kirchick of Graydon Carter’s Air Mail. In the exclusive conversation, Hammer responds at length to the sexual misconduct allegations, denies any criminal wrongdoing while accepting responsibility for being a selfish “asshole” who used people and moved on, challenges a rape claim by providing Kirchick with direct messages from an accuser, and offers an update on his recovery.
The bigger bombshells come as Hammer tells Kirchick that his interest in Bdsm and sexual power dynamics are the result of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of a youth pastor who allegedly molested him when he was 13 years old. He also revealed, for the first time, his suicidal intent in the Cayman Islands in February 2021 by swimming as far out in the...

Dakota Johnson boldly joked about Armie Hammer’s “cannibalism fantasy” scandal on Thursday while presenting Luca Guadagnino with Sundance’s International Icon Award.
In her speech, the actress reflected on the director’s film “Call Me By Your Name,” starring Hammer and Timothée Chalamet. It premiered at the festival in 2017.
“Sadly, I wasn’t in that one,” she said, drawing a laugh from the audience. “It was unfortunate, Luca had asked me to play the role of the peach, but our schedules conflicted. Thank God, because then I would have been another woman that Armie Hammer tried to eat.”

As we’ve all come to learn, some celebs seem to not know how to handle themselves when it comes to DMs. “Saturday Night Live” poked fun at some recent profile sex scandals on Saturday’s season 48 premiere.
Host Miles Teller played game show host Halen Hardy, who oversaw the challenging show “Send Something Normal”.
“The game is very simple. We have four male celebrity contestants, and all they have to do is reply to a woman’s Dm on Instagram in a way that is normal,” Halen explained. “And fellows, if you send a normal Dm, you win 100 million.”
The contestants included Adam Levine (played by Mikey Day), Armie Hammer (James Austin Johnson), Neil DeGrasse Tyson (Kenan Thompson) and Bowen Yang, playing himself.

Juicy details about celebrities who are alleged cannibals are tough to ignore, perhaps especially so if you’re the ex of that flesh-eating actor. The makers of a documentary about Armie Hammer’s alleged abuse have said they will make one change to it, following its release last week.
Production house Talos Films will reportedly remove the photograph of an alleged bite mark that Hammer’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich believed was of her own body, after viewers raised questions over its authenticity.
Vucekovich and Hammer, 35, allegedly began dating in June 2020. She alleges that their short relationship involved “love bombing” and a sex act that left her feeling “traumatised”.
At one point during the series, Vucekovich claims Hammer “bites really hard”. Viewers are shown a picture of a bite mark which the Dallas-based business owner claimed was one Hammer had left on her body, adding she thought it was taken by the controversial Hollywood actor.

Armie Hammer’s fall from grace is the subject of “House of Hammer,” a new three-part documentary from Elli Hakami and Julian Hobbs. The actor, who once headlined films like “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and “Call Me By Your Name,” is now reportedly working as a timeshare salesman in the Cayman Islands following multiple allegations that he attempted to coerce women into performing disturbing sexual acts. His interest in cannibalism and alleged request to eat a woman’s ribs has received the most attention in pop culture, but the allegations all fit together to form a pattern of abusive behavior.
The accusations began to snowball in 2021 after Effie, a 26-year-old European woman identified only by her first name, accused Hammer of rape in a news conference held by her lawyer. (Hammer’s attorney denied the claims.) But while Effie wants to see Hammer brought to justice, that doesn’t mean...
