Genocide of Turkish Cypriots by the Greeks
I can highly recommend this series, it is factual and based on the genocide of the Turkish Cypriot people by the Greeks. It is captivating and heart breaking. A must watch.

Gripping, Emotional and Informative!
This is a very Informative TV drama series produced by a reputable TV channel in Turkey; TRT. It is based on True Events from the period of Bloody Christmas, where brutal attacks of genocide was carried out on Turkish Cypriots by the now Internationally recognised Greek Cypriot terrorist group; EOKA, whose purpose is Enosis meaning unification with Greece. It shows the survival, struggle and resistance of Turkish Cypriots against the terrorist organisation between the years 1963 and 1974. The series is gripping and emotional, full of action and powerful performances by the actors and actresses.
Perfectly done... keeps you speechless. Don't miss it.
Another very accurate TV series from TRT1. Screen writing astonishingly good as well as editing, cast, historic sense of a particular period of time etc. However it's more than a movie, it sets the history right. And this reality would be never forgotten because when we forget these massacres, these merciless acts keep happening again like Sarajevo, like other parts of Bosnia, like Hocali etc.
It is sometimes very hard to watch especially if you witnessed that period with your own eyes. I can't describe my feelings about it. Please make whole world witness this horrible events as well as real heroes achievements. Sometimes people prefer to believe bunch of lies but I hope at least some of them wake up to the reality after this film.

A must watch!
Absolutely amazing, i never thought i would see the day where the story was told from our point of view and shot so beautifully. If you haven't seen it yet i would definitely recommend!
inaccurate
Turkish propaganda that doesn't say the truth ahout intercommunal relationship. Unite cyprus now. Greece and turkey get out of Cyprus.
It is important for any series that talk about pre 1974 Cyprus, to be inclusive and portray the reality. Yes nationalists always existed but most people lived in piece and loved eachother. Making this to be so insecurate not only for the greek speaking cypriot community but also the turkish speaking cypriot community is unacceptable. The characters speak "mainland" Turkish instead of the island's dialect and the characters seen as bad are the ones using the dialect (incorrectly might I add)

Excellent !
I find the review titled 'disappointing' very disappointing!
Yes there was genocide against the Turkish Cypriots and this series reflects that very fact. Turkey came to the rescue. Denying this bitter fact doesn't make any sense.

Just disasterous
We are very used of using surplus drama and falsifying some events to make a more intriguing story, but in this occasion the dear producers went really bananas. This is a series that even forced the daughter of Rauf Denktas, Ender Denktas, to get furious for disrespecting the turkish cypriots, and her father as well. Let's not even start about the absolute falsification of every single event that took part in that era in Cyprus. A one sided piece of trash. Shameful.
Absolutely fantastic!
As a Turkish Cypriot I am astounded by the level of detail and how beautifully this show is shot. This series shows our history in a entertaining and dramatic way blaming it thoroughly enjoyable. Anyone watching it not familiar with The history of the island should visit North Cyprus after Covid as there are museums dedicated to subjects in the series especially the bath massacre. Fantastic series and can't wait for the next episode!
To whom who calls "trash"
Makarios is a fiction from Game of Thrones, Enosis never existed, Turkish people never killed... You keep running away from your misery history.
