Trivia
The scene where Dexter looks into the camera and flicks the clown nose prop off of his face was not scripted. It was improvised by Michael C. Hall on set.

Goofs
Dexter was shot in the leg with a high caliber rifle by Kurt's associate. After he quickly bandages it, it is never seen or mentioned again for the remainder of the series, despite being a serious injury that would need medical attention, and an explanation to police.

He wasn't shot *in* the leg. A bullet in the quad muscle would be crippling. It had to have been a graze since it didn't interfere with his eluding and keeping ahead of Elric. It wasn't serious enough to need medical attention and he certainly wanted to avoid explaining to the police.

Crazy credits

This is Dexter

Wow this episode was incredible. It left me realizing how much I had missed Dexter (the earlier seasons in particular) and that I kinda wish this wasn't a one off mini-series and they will carry New Blood on. However, I guess all good things come to an end, and this next episode will give me the ending I will remember instead of the disaster that was S8EP12.
