Brian Randolph was scribbling graffiti inside of his locker when one of his teammates tells him not to do that because he's on the West Bank, no longer in New Orleans East. It is unlikely that John Ehret High School or the cities that it serves (Harvey, Marrero, and Westwego) were flooded during Hurricane Katrina. Ehert is on the West Bank on the Mississippi River (to the south of New Orleans) in Jefferson Parish. Most of the flooding from Katrina occurred in New Orleans proper (Orleans Parish), in St. Bernard Parish to the city's southeast, and in the East Bank sections of Jefferson Parish to the city's west. Most of the West Bank was unaffected by flooding.
