The theme in this 11 episode drama is unrequited love amongst young people at a university in Tokyo. It stars Riko Naruni as Hagumi, a young artist prodigy who goes to the university under the tutelage of her uncle. Takemoto is a student there and likes her but doesn't have the courage to tell her. Morita is older, at the university seven years, somewhat gifted as a sculpture artist but not ambitious enough. Mayama works in design and loves Rika, a beautiful tragic young widow who still thinks only of her husband. Yamada likes Mayama, but he doesn't reciprocate. This drama is more effective for teens, as it goes through the emotions one feels for the first time in their life, that they love someone. It is a bit too much at times, and the pace is deliberately slow. Also, you want to scream at Takemoto "Tell her you like her!". This is a likable drama, though, with generally good actors. Riko Narumi is a good young actress, she has since gone on to star in films and other dramas. So, best for teens, still watchable for older folks, but beware that it is called a drama and that is exactly what it is.
