Featured review
This video is a compilation of Aladdin's cartoons, all from Season One: #4: Do the right thing; #8: Garden of evil; #30: Elemental, my dear.
If I hadn't been friend with Arabic friends, I would never take a look at those cartoons. It would have been a pity because Aladdin's world is an exotic universe, far away from western cultures but sharing the same spiritual roots.
With this franchise, Disney got a precious jewel: As I have written in my reviews of this collection (see "Disney Princess Stories Volume Three: Beauty Shines from Within"), this is an unique gateway to get into the Arabic culture and the effort of philosophy is sincere: Kids are addressed with romance, truth, human condition and nature preservation.
But, the parrot Iago and the Genie are pretty dumb and irritating, which ruins everything!
