The Hawaii-set crime caper, which is currently being shopped to studios and streamers, is drawing comparisons in the industry to “The Departed” and “Goodfellas.” Even in spirit, there are no deals in place and the viability of the project depends on a distributor, according to multiple sources familiar with the package, but the untitled drama is set to be written by author and journalist Nick Bilton, who helmed the 2021 HBO documentary “Fake Famous.”

Martin Scorsese is quite literally a living legend. The director has created some of the most iconic and influential films of his time. Just recently, Scorsese made it a point to sing his praises of Robert Eggers' latest Gothic Horror film, Nosferatu. In a conversation with TCM host Dave Karger at the 92nd St Y, the Taxi Driver director talked about a myriad of topics. Among the talking points during the panel was his recent collaboration with Steven Spielberg and Paul Thomas Anderson.

While Leonardo DiCaprio has worked with a few of the most legendary filmmakers in Hollywood, it’s now time for him to fulfill his dream collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson. Currently pouring his heart and soul into Anderson’s upcoming movie The Battle Of Baktan Cross, DiCaprio is said to be working on an eccentric storyline and oddball humor.

Well, part of the bizarre storyline is what’s making bigwigs at Warner Bros. increasingly nervous about the project. Considering how Leonardo DiCaprio has rarely worked in such movies, sources believe that The Battle Of Baktan Cross might turn into a box office flop, as audiences are not accustomed to seeing him in such roles. On top of that, DiCaprio’s $25M fee is adding insult to injury.

Strange things begin to happen as Teddy's investigation deepens. It turns out that there is more going on in the institution, but the real twist has everything to do with Teddy himself.

Psychological thrillers often offer viewers intellectual pleasure as they follow the clues to the plot twist. The endings of such films also tend to deliver mind-blowing, thought-provoking twists. Sadly, there's no sequel to Shutter Island. However, there are plenty of great thrillers out there that offer a similar experience.

Movies where it’s revealed that the whole plot was happening in the protagonist’s head all along can be very hit or miss. Yes, yes, I know that Albus Dumbledore told Harry Potter that even though their conversation was happening in the latter’s head, it didn’t make it any less real. Yet, using that as a plot twist always makes the whole exercise a little cheap, and the only way to kind of bypass that feeling is by engrossing the audience in the narrative to such an extent that the last-minute attempt at recontextualizing the events doesn’t even matter. For example, there’s The Wizard of Oz, which is such a magical film that the knowledge that it was all a dream is borderline irrelevant. Stay, Ghost Stories, Donnie Darko, and Identity kind of make more sense when you find out that it was all being imagined by someone.

20th Century Studios is moving forward with a long-awaited adaptation of The Devil in the White City, based on Erik Larson’s bestselling 2004 nonfiction book. The film, currently in its early stages, has Leonardo DiCaprio in talks to star and Martin Scorsese in discussions to direct. Per Deadline, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese and fan-favorite actor Leonardo DiCaprio are in talks to take on a feature film adaptation of Erik Larson's bestselling novel, The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's long-in-development adaptation of Devil in the White City might have finally found a new home. Based on the 2003 novel Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by author Erik Larson, DiCaprio and Scorsese have been eying a film adaptation of the story for over a decade with many false starts and abrupt stops over the years. Now it seems they have found a new partner in Disney of all studios, or more specifically, 20th Century Pictures.

Deadline reports that 20th Century Pictures joined Devil in the White City with DiCaprio in talks to star and Martin Scorsese being eyed to direct. DiCaprio and Scorsese are signed on as producers alongside Stacey Sher, Rick Yorn, and Jennifer Davisson. No script for the film is complete. 20th Century Studios intends to give the film a big-screen theatrical release.

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio may be set to make their seventh film together, as the director-actor duo is in talks to respectively direct and star in an adaptation of Erik Larson’s “Devil in the White City” for Disney’s 20th Century Studios, a project that the Oscar winners have wanted to make for years.

The Devil in the White City tells the story of Daniel H. Burnham, “a visionary architect who sets out to mark history with the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, and Dr. H.
