250 volunteers from the greater Detroit area spent a week, before Super Bowl 40, building up the Half-Time stage just to tearing back down. This process was repeated several times during that week with the hopes of it going off without a hitch on Game Day. When leading the stage to the stage AREA, they needed everybody holding on because the ramp leading out from tunnel had decline so without everyone holding on it would become unmanned freight train on a mission of destruction. They learned this after a few smack-ups during that week.
