Though nothing has been officially announced, The Marvels pretty much confirmed that Marvel Studios is planning some sort of Young Avengers project. Previous rumors have pointed to a Disney+ series, but more recent reports point to the Jr. roster of Earth's Mightiest Heroes assembling on the big screen.
We have a pretty good idea of the characters that will make up the core team, but it sounds like the Young Avengers roster might end up being a lot bigger than we realized.
According to The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, the team was "going to be a mixture of YA & Champions," and he believes it's definitely going to be a "hefty line-up because there are a lot of candidates."
There does tend to be at least some crossover between the Young Avengers and the Champions in the comics, but the latter's original line-up included Sam Alexander (Nova), Miles Morales (Spider-Man), and...

Brilliant Minds — – Pictured: Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf — (Photo by: Rafy/NBC) The new drama Brilliant Minds represents a kind of homecoming for Zachary Quinto. After all, the show that helped launch his career, Heroes, aired as part of NBC’s Monday night lineup from 2006-2010, and now Brilliant Minds is airing in the time slot Heroes once occupied. The irony hasn’t been lost on Quinto, who said he’s gotten some serious Heroes vibes with the new show. When Sohail Khan & Arbaaz Khan Performed Better Than Salman Khan At The Box Office (Photo Credit – Koimoi)
Salman Khan is a man who has ruled the box office ever since he arrived on the silver screen with Maine Pyar Kiya. In fact, when we talk about the iconic box office goldmines of Indian Cinema, Hum Aapke Hain Koun rules the list for innumerable records. But today, instead of the glories, we decided to talk about the not-so-good days!
The Troublesome Year – 2008
The year 2008 was a rare occurrence for Bhaijaan when nothing he did worked at the box office. That year, he arrived with God Tussi Great Ho, Heroes, and Yuvraaj! While he had a short stint in Heroes, the other two were highly anticipated, but none worked!

Tyler, the Creator is speaking to the times on “Noid,” the newest single from his upcoming album, Chromokopia. The song is part of Tyler’s straight-to-the-point album rollout, where the music and visuals — not his characteristic outspokenness — have taken center stage.
Last week, Tyler dropped “St. Chroma,” which featured him whispering over militaristic stomps. A week later, he dropped “Noid,” admitting he was “paranoid” about how stardom made him a target. “I can’t even buy a home in private/home invasion got my brothers dyin’,” he raps about the ever-present threat of celebrity burglaries.

We know that Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are shaping up to me massive MCU events, and it sounds like the latter, in particular, might just turn out to be the most ambitious superhero movie of all time in terms of scale and scope.
Though no characters have been officially confirmed just yet, the movie is expected to feature a new roster of Earth's Mightiest Heroes along with the surviving members of the original team - and possibly even variants of the likes of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson).
Robert Downey Jr. will definitely be back - but as Doctor Doom (who may or may not turn out to be a Tony Stark variant).
Now, we're hearing that another major player from the Infinity Saga will also be making his long-awaited return: The Mad Titan himself, Thanos!

Supernatural was a show that Eric Kripke described as not having a lot of its own mythology, hence he preferred the show over the likes of Lost and Heroes. However, that did not stop the writer/director from taking inspiration from real-world belief systems for his work, given that he was dealing with angels, demons, and monsters in Supernatural.

Misha Collins’ Castiel was perhaps as synonymous with Supernatural as the Winchester siblings, being a major pull for the show and the CW. In preparation for the role, Kripke assigned the onscreen Angel some homework, the kind that allowed him to play the character more accurately.

Speaking with MovieWeb, the actor revealed that Eric Kripke has Collins turn to religious texts in preparation for his role as an Angel of the Lord.

Squaring off against criminals in any situation is harrowing enough without adding an armored car and a narrow bridge. The environment is a significant part of the strategic means to potentially violent ends, and Sylvester Stallone did not come to play in Lionsgate‘s Armor trailer.
Justin Routt directs Armor from a screenplay by Adrian Speckert and Corey Todd Hughes. Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone and Jason Patric star in Routt’s action-packed thriller about the lengths one man will go to save what’s left of his family and reclaim his own life. James and his son Casey are armored truck drivers tasked with delivering a suspicious package. After a violent ambush on the road, James and Casey become trapped until they discover the value of what they have been carrying and join forces to outgun and outwit their attackers.

Eric Kripke has been responsible for some of the greatest shows, being cornerstones of multiple fandoms. Be it The Boys, or Supernatural, Kripke has been very keen on making some of fandom’s greatest shows, which have had a lot of time to grow and build their own lore across multiple seasons.

Speaking about the nature of his shows, Kripke revealed that there was something that distinguished the shows that he created from shows like Lost, and Heroes. The key difference in shows like Supernatural is the fact that there is very little internal mythology for them to work with, which can shift and change in each installment of the narrative.

Disney+ is expanding their live streaming options, introducing four channels: Hallowstream, Hits & Heroes, Throwbacks, and Real Life. While Disney+ does currently have “non-stop playlists”, this expansion will aim to reach a wider audience within their subscriber base while fulfilling the niches within the service.
Last month, Disney+ introduced ABC News Live and Disney+ Playtime, which is geared towards the pre-school-aged audience. In their initial announcement of these, the House of Mouse also teased versions of the four aforementioned channels. For Seasonal Content, expect “a collection of seasonal-themed content”, so in this case you can anticipate a stream of movies like Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown and maybe even Mr. Boogedy.
Hits & Heroes is now evidently a twist on Epic Stories, which offers “a compilation of action-packed stories from marquee brands and franchises, including Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars.” Throwbacks, on the other hand, will play off of some of the studio’s most iconic animated and live-action,...

Streams on Disney+ allow viewers to lean back and watch a preselected lineup of shows rather than be forced to pick a new episode for themselves.
When you log into a streaming service, do you suddenly become paralyzed by the overwhelming number of titles to choose from? Well, Disney+ is aiming to help with that. On Monday, the streamer continued rolling out around-the-clock streaming channels for subscribers who don’t want to have to deal with deciding what to watch. These channels offer continuous feeds of select titles found in the on-demand library of Disney+, streaming 24 hours a day so viewers never have to try to sort through the expansive catalog and pick what they’ll watch next. The channels first launched in early September, and this week Disney+ has announced that it is adding four new options to the lineup.

After dipping a toe into the continuous, live programming waters last month, Disney+ is adding four more live channels.
The new offerings, Hallowstream, Hits & Heroes, Throwbacks, and Real Life, expand on the two launched in August, ABC News and Disney+ Playtime.
In announcing the expansion, the company took pains to describe the channels as “playlists” and “streams,” avoiding the acronym Fast, industry shorthand for “free, ad-supported streaming television.” One obvious reason for that is that the channels are not free and can only be accessed by subscribers to Disney+. The overall Fast marketplace has boomed in recent years, becoming a multi-billion-dollar segment, though subscription players have largely been reticent about mixing messages to paying customers.
Disney is adding the new channels for U.S. subscribers only as it gets set to raise prices for Disney+, Hulu and select bundles on October 17.

The third album in as many years from the Smile, the side project of Radiohead bandmates Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, Cutouts was born out of the same sessions that yielded last January’s Wall of Eyes. The strategy isn’t unlike that of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac, companion albums released less than a year apart. Yorke and Greenwood are restlessly prolific artists, so attempts to understand their contemporary output by comparing it to what they did a quarter of a century ago might seem like a fool’s errand. But those albums provide a case study for how a band can navigate their creative ambition in a more conceptual way than simply dropping a bloated double or triple album.
Like Amnesiac, Cutouts initially feels like a more challenging listen than Wall of Eyes, prioritizing atmosphere and mood over traditional songcraft. The album opens with two steadfastly dirge-like tracks that,...

Nearly 20 years after his breakout role in “Heroes,” Zachary Quinto returns to NBC as a world-class, eccentric doctor in “Brilliant Minds.” The “Star Trek” and “American Horror Story” star plays Dr. Oliver Wolf, a neurologist who lives with a brain disorder — prosopagnosia, colloquially known as “face blindness” — and believes “you can’t treat a patient without understanding who they really are and sometimes the only course of treatment is breaking the rules.”
But Dr. Oliver Wolf isn’t a figment of fiction and those philosophies weren’t invented for the screen — he’s got his roots in the incredible true story of a legendary physician. Here’s what you need to know what’s true in “Brilliant Minds.”
Is “Brilliant Minds” based on a true story?

We all are,” the actress, known for her work in the “Scream” and “Heroes” franchises as well as “Nashville,” wrote in a lengthy post shared on Instagram.
“I would like to take a moment to address the controversy surrounding an interview I recently completed with People Magazine,” her message began. “It’s unfathomable that I’m even in this position, but I feel forced to address it in a space where I won’t be criticized for how fast or slow I speak.”

For Marvel and "Star Wars" fans, the fantastical superhero world and that famous galaxy far, far away are both getting much closer than ever before. More so than most major studios, Disney has been trying to remain on the cutting edge of the streaming era ever since the debut of Disney+ and the premieres of the various shows in both franchises. That's led to more than its fair share of ups and downs over the years -- the highs being the immediate breakout success of hits like "The Mandalorian" or "WandaVision," and the lows most notably arriving with CEO Bob Iger admitting that a glut of streaming series ended up diluting the overall brand.
All that has led to the latest twist in this years-long saga, as Disney makes its most dramatic move yet in the streaming space. In a new Bloomberg report, the outlet sat down with Disney entertainment...

Disney+ was intended to be Disney’s flagship streaming service, designed to compete with Netflix and capture a significant share of the streaming audience through its extensive library of past releases and original content.
However, recent reports indicate that the company may have overextended itself financially, with Disney+ reportedly facing over $11.4 billion in operating losses.
Despite Disney+ having a large subscriber base and strong viewership, its significant spending hasn’t been justified. As other streaming services expand their content and audiences return to cinemas, Disney+ has experienced a notable drop in revenue.
To recover some of its investments, Disney+ is implementing several strategies, including the introduction of “playlists” or “channels.” Later this year, Disney+ will launch four new channels: Hallowstream (seasonal content), Hits and Heroes, Throwbacks (pop-culture nostalgia), and Real Life (documentaries and biopics).

FX’s Shogun extended its reign over the 2024 Emmys on Sunday night. Going into the evening, the hit samurai series already held the record for the most wins by any show in a single year, having bagged 14 trophies at the Creative Arts Emmys a week ago. But the show further cemented its rule inside the Peacock Theater at the Primetime Emmys, winning an additional four awards, including the top categories of best drama series, best actress in a drama series for Anna Sawai, best actor in a drama series for Hiroyuki Sanada and best drama directing for Frederick E.O. Toye.
Shogun’s triumph is momentous on several fronts. The historic awards haul represents a huge win for FX and parent company Disney for a pricey series that took nearly 10 years to bring to fruition and once looked like a very uncertain bet. It’s also a major moment for Asian representation and non-English-language television.

On September 20, Halle Berry makes her long-awaited return to the world of horror with Never Let Go, Alexandre Aja's mind-bending, intense new movie. It should go without saying that the actor is terrific in her role as "Momma" and we recently got to catch up with the Oscar-winner to discuss the project.
It was only a brief conversation but, as we wrapped up, we asked Berry whether there's a chance she'll return as Storm in the next Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars.
All signs point to the X-Men and Earth-10005 playing a key role in where the Multiverse Saga goes next and, after Berry recently confirmed she was ready and willing to suit up as Ororo Munroe again for Deadpool & Wolverine (she wasn't asked, unfortunately), we'll surely get to see her blast back into action as this iconic member of the X-Men.

Zachary Quinto, the star of NBC’s new medical procedural Brilliant Minds (previously titled Dr. Wolf), said he was initially hesitant to return to network television, especially given its contractual basis. However, the Heroes actor signed on to the series, citing a changing dynamic between streaming and network models.
“The conversation around network versus streaming has shifted, and the industry has experienced a return to [a type of] television it had departed pretty significantly from,” he said in a recent cover story with Entertainment Weekly. “There’s something about the reliability of [network procedurals]. Audiences are more interested in appointment television than they were for a little while.”
Though cord-cutting remains prevalent and streaming shows dominate ratings, audiences have been vocally disillusioned with SVOD-based services, especially when their profit models lead to the cancellations of niche series and increasingly expensive shows gestate for longer times in between new seasons (at times dropped in frustrating batch...

The book is not just designed for children but also for adults, bringing families together to enjoy classic stories curated by critics, animators, and directors. Discovering films as a child used to involve nostalgic trips down the aisles of a video rental store. Nowadays, films are chosen from the comfort of a couch.
The 288-page book is beautifully designed and illustrated and split neatly into four sections: PreSchoolers (2-4), Little Kids (5-7), Big Kids (8-9), and Tweens (10-12). Spanning decades, genres, moods, plotlines, nations, and languages, the only thing that ties the 100+ film recommendations together is that they can easily be found on most streaming services.

With Robert Downey Jr. making a grand return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom, fans are chomping to see which characters will be rounding out the roster for the highly anticipated film, Avengers: Doomsday. It’s common knowledge that The Avengers flicks are renowned for bringing together a motley crew of heroes and villains from various corners of the comic book universe, and this one promises to be no exception.
Mark Ruffalo as Hulk | Marvel Studios
It feels like watching a chef swap from making gourmet dishes to whipping up a spicy new recipe, especially with Downey Jr. trading his Iron Man suit for a villain’s cape. Despite the shift, expectations are sky-high for his performance. More spicy news to chew on: the Hulk, that big green behemoth, is back in action for Avengers: Doomsday—not in his millennial ‘Smart Hulk’ avatar, but in his raw, unedited primal rage form.

Exclusive: Hayden Panettiere will star in A Breed Apart. Known for playing Claire Bennet in Heroes, Kirby Reed in slasher franchise Scream and Juliette Barnes in Nashville, Panettiere will take an as yet unspecified role in the film, which uses Wes Craven’s cult 2006 picture The Breed as a jump-off point.
In addition to Panettiere signing on, Deadline can also reveal the film has rounded out its ensemble cast.
Joey Bragg, Troy Gentile, Riele Downs and Page Kennedy will all appear. They join the previously announced Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey, who were seen together in vertigo-inducing Netflix movie Fall.
Billed as a reimagining of Wes Craven-produced and Nicholas Mastandrea-directed The Breed, the upcoming movie is more accurately a sequel of sorts and is set after events of the first film. The new picture originally bore the same name, but the title has now been tweaked.

Taylor Sheridan has built a television empire with his Yellowstone universe. Now, he’s adding to it with a modern-day spinoff, The Madison.
Sheridan already blessed us with two Yellowstone prequels to satisfy our Western-series cravings: 1883 and 1923.

With the future of the original series Yellowstone up in the air because of Kevin Costner’s departure, The Madison will be able to keep the Yellowstone universe going even without John Dutton, sadly.
It would have been cool to see Kevin Costner pop up in The Madison, but it’s not to be. But anything is possible in Hollywood these days, so you never know.
But The Madison will be anything but lacking in star power. Here’s what we know so far!

Despite all the criticism, Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover is recognized as one of the greatest new-gen masterpieces. With only a few chapters left before the manga’s conclusion, Black Clover will soon join the ranks of other great shonen manga, such as My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer.
Yuki Tabata created an entirely new magical universe with intriguing characters for his audience. As the anime picks up pace, most fans overlook the earlier criticism of Naruto and Asta’s resemblance thanks to Black Clover‘s engaging plot and splendid narrative.

NBC’s Brilliant Minds will premiere in September of the upcoming fall season.
While medical dramas are a dime a dozen, Brilliant Minds differs because it’s based on the real-life Dr. Oliver Wolf Sacks.
The series focuses on the larger-than-life neurologist who was not afraid to break the rules to help his patients live life to the fullest.
(Brendan Meadows/NBC)
While the series focuses mainly on the protagonist, it also includes an exciting ensemble, including his old friend Dr. Pierce and his team of interns.
The team explores cases related to the human mind while examining their own mental health issues and relationships.
With real-life inspiration, rich characters, and a talented cast, we hope this series lasts for many seasons. Meet the cast and characters in Brilliant Minds.

The Season 2 premiere of Pachinko, the cinematic Apple TV+ series based on the novel by Min Jin Lee, was absolutely worth the two-year wait.
This episode returns us almost exactly to where we left Sunja (Kim Min-ha) at the end of Season 1 in the Osaka marketplace of 1945.
But WWII isn’t the only conflict Sunja’s family will face during this century or this new season.
(Apple TV+/YouTube screenshot)
The Season 2 premiere features a dual timeline where Sunja deals with poverty in 1945 Osaka while her grandson Solomon Baek (Jin Ha) tries to broker a huge investment deal in 1989 Tokyo.
They are both trying to move ahead and thrive but find that their pasts are never far behind them.
Modes of Survival in Osaka
Sunja’s achievement of selling the best kimchee in the market means little now that her last batch is almost gone, and there is no cabbage available to make more.

When looking at the reception they’ve received for “Blue Eye Samurai,” show creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi see one recurring bit of flattery that really delights them. “One of the best compliments we’ve gotten is people keep asking us, where did you get the rights to the books and we have to remind them there were no books.
