PELTS is Director Dario Argento's nasty little tale of obsession, mutilation, retribution, and murder.

A low-end furrier named Jake (Meatloaf) seems to have hit the jackpot when he acquires several pristine raccoon pelts. Unbeknownst to Jake, these were no ordinary raccoons. The trapper (John Saxon) who killed them has already paid the price for his transgression.

Shortsighted Jake sees these pelts as the key to the heart of a stripper -does this woman EVER wear clothes?- with whom he's enamored. Ignoring all the obvious warning signs and the carnage that has already surrounded the pelts, Jake makes a beautiful fur coat for his beloved.

PELTS is one of the better offerings from MASTERS OF HORROR. Argento really pours on the gore, making a film that drips with menace and gushy splatter. The story is solid, the characters are interesting, and the final payoff is huge...
