Barbara Pepper (the nosy neighbor) appeared in a total of four Perry Mason (1957) episodes: one in 1957, two in 1961 (including this one), and one in 1963.

Goofs
When Perry is in the beauty salon, he is talking with Joy Lebaron, who has a newspaper in her lap. When she flips it over, the headline reads "Kiss Slaying Trial Tomorrow." This headline actually refers to a crime in a much earlier episode, The Case of the Crimson Kiss (1957).

Sexual harassment

It wasn't called sexual harassment back then, but one of the components of this Perry Mason episode was just that. The incredibly beautiful Myrna Fahey has been named Miss Debutante and one of the contest executives Erik Rhodes is panting hot and heavy after her. His wife Dorothy Green has a big gambling problem, something that Rhodes's boss Hayden Rorke is concerned about.

Fahey resists Rhodes mightily, but later when he winds up dead she's looking real good to Ray Collins for the homicide. Since she's already consulted Perry Mason about her contract, he's at the ready to defend her. Of course she's not completely truthful about her situation with him which is never a good idea.

As it turns out it's quite the convoluted motive for the crime that gets Rhodes dead. The episode has enough herrings for a rainbow rather than just red. You won't see this one coming.
