Laura says that she got the lamb chops that they usually save for Jean Kerr. Kerr was a writer, famous for her tales of domestic life in such works as "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" and she did indeed live in New Rochelle at one time, so it is quite possible that Laura Petrie and Jean Kerr shopped in the same markets and shops.
For the first three seasons of the show, Alan Brady's face remains unseen; viewers see only the back of his head or hear his voice. However, in this third season episode, the cover of the magazine at the center of the plot shows him full-face--but in clown makeup.
