This story seems so modern, so awfully modern. See for yourself. Robert Morley plays an old timer salesman, the elder in a big department store who, after more than twenty five years in this shopping center, is asked by the big head manager to be fired, dismissed, because he seems too old fashioned. But our poor lead has supports from his own direct supervisors, who will do their best to help him not to be discharged from his job. Robert Morley is outstanding here, in this so convincing character who looks like so many real persons who try to survive in our modern days. This story, I repeat, will unfortunately never get old. Every one can recognize himself in this character, this salesman, the best among the best, who is gotten rid by those who used him. Painful to watch. At least for me folks. A must see anyway.
