The first Korean science fiction film shot entirely with a Korean cast and crew.
The film is frequently and incorrectly cited as being a lost film. In actuality it was simply withheld from release due to copyright. It was screen at film festival in the 2000s and as of December 2011, it's being restored.
A misconception is that the film held a Guinness world records for most extras in one film until 1982, with over 167,000 extras throughout the whole film. In actuality the film that held the world record was the German Nazi film Burning Hearts (1945) with over 187,000 extras. This film was acknowledged in the Guinness book as a contender which is where this myth likely originated from.
The film is held by Korean Film Archive with its release being withheld by copyright.
