YOURS, MINE AND OURS (2005) ** Listless and arbitrary remake of the 1960s farce about two large families suddenly becoming one humongous one when former high school sweethearts Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo are reunited at their 20th class reunion and find themselves instantly getting married after rekindling their spark with the usual predictable results of 'hilarity ensuing' - 18 kids and miscellaneous animals (including a pig!) causing mayhem as they team up to try to get their new parents to break up. What is truly remarkable is that none of the aforementioned brood registers as being at all memorable! Although there are some moments of smiles here and there - largely at the slapstick expense of Quaid's career Navy man and Russo's carefree 'hippie' (yeah I didn't buy that one either) and a few life lessons that do ring true (i.e. family matters!) the entire thing feels regrettable forgettable altogether.
