A few days ago, it was announced that Happy Gilmore would be getting a new 4K Blu-ray release from the Kino Lorber video label. The ultra-high-definition transfer of the Adam Sandler comedy is due to hit retailers sometime early next year, presumably to coincide with the release of the Netflix sequel. As Adam Sandler breaks out the clubs to return to the gentleman’s game of golf for the upcoming sequel Happy Gilmore 2, the Blu-ray label Kino Lorber will be bringing the original film to you in glorious 4K imagery. Blu-ray.com has announced the news of the 1996 film’s remastering. Happy Gilmore stars Sandler along with Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Frances Bay, and the late, great Carl Weathers. There has not been a firm release date announced. However, the 4K release is expected to hit retailers sometime early next year. It will likely coincide with the release of Netflix’s sequel.

ViacomCBS International Studios (Vis) has boarded Rob Schneider’s “Love is Love,” a new Paramount Plus Original film which marks the multihyphenate’s Spanish-language directorial debut.

September also brings Clint Eastwood’s latest film Cry Macho on the 17th and director James Wan’s Malignant on the 10th. Both Cry Macho and Malignant will be available in theaters and on HBO Max the same day. They will stream on the $14.99/month ad-Free HBO Max plan for 31 days after their debuts.

Rob Schneider has completed principal production on the family adventure live action comedy-animation hybrid Daddy Daughter Trip which the SNL alum produced, directed and stars in.

Shot in Arizona, the movie also stars Jackie Sandler (The Wrong Missy), Monica Huarte (40 y 20), Migel Ángel Muñoz (Un paso Adelante), Monty Python’s John Cleese, Schneider’s daughter Grammy nominated singer songwriter Elle King as well as Miranda Scarlett Schneider and Gavin Joseph.

Daddy Daughter Trip tells the story of 2nd grader (Miranda Scarlett Schneider) who dreams of a fun-filled spring break vacation her family can’t afford. Against the better judgement of her mom (Sandler) and with only coins in their pockets, her dreamer father (Rob Schneider) decides to take her on a spring break trip anyway. After a series of misfortunate adventures, their vacation is saved when the duo meet a couple of famous travel bloggers (Huarte and Muñoz).

Los Angeles, March 2: Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger said he takes acting advice from his father, Hollywood action superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Talking about whether his father likes to show him how it's done, Patrick said, "No, he doesn't. You know, if I have questions or if I had advice or want to hear what he has to say, I ask but otherwise no. I wouldn't say so."

The young actor grew up in the spotlight and started his career from the age of 10 when he had a small role in The Benchwarmers, but he always knew his father was a big star.

"I think from some age I understood the magnitude of his celebrity, his name and power. Then when he ran for governor and everything. So, yeah I knew.The governor today would be pretty tough. He's very straight-forward. He is what you see. He doesn't beat around the bush.

Tremors 7 has just made a dynamite addition to its cast. First off, yes, for those who perhaps haven't heard, a seventh installment in the long-running franchise is about to get underway. Franchise star Michael Gross is coming back once again as the gun-loving Burt Gummer in what is officially titled Tremors: Island Fury. This time around, he's going to be joined by none other than Napoleon Dynamite himself, Jon Heder.

Rob Schneider has won a SAG-aftra national board seat as a member of presidential candidate Matthew Modine’s progressive Membership First slate.

Schneider won a four-year term as representative of the union’s San Francisco branch. He ran on a campaign platform of increased compensation from streaming services and garnered 402 votes, topping incumbent Kathryn Howell and three other candidates.

Schneider is a former cast member on “Saturday Night Live” with movie credits on “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” “The Hot Chick,” “The Benchwarmers,” and “Grown Ups” in addition to the two-season Netflix series “Real Rob.” It’s the first time he has run for a SAG-aftra post.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick Schwarzenegger has just snagged an all-new role in director Agata Alexander's upcoming sci-fi thriller Warning co-starring Annabelle Wallis, Alice Eve, Alex Pettyfer, and the one and only Thomas Jane. Filming is now underway over in Poland, which is being described as - wait for it - a sci-fi thriller that explores the meaning of life when disparate lives collide in interweaving stories set in the near-future earth. David Spade is attached to star in a comedy series currently in the works at HBO from writer Diablo Cody, Variety has confirmed.

The untitled half-hour series follows Calvin Wash (Spade), a semi-famous grunge musician in the ’90s who was hooked on heroin. Now he’s clean, sober and working as a waiter in the Valley. When he meets troubled 20-something actress Bailey, both of their lives change in unexpected and electrifying ways.

Spade will serve as a producer on the project in addition to starring. Cody will write and executive produce, with Jason Reitman executive producing and directing. Cody’s Vita Vera Films and Reitman’s Right of Way Films will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The project reunites Reitman and Cody, who famously first collaborated on the critically-acclaimed film “Juno” in 2007. Since then, they have also worked together on the films “Tully,” “Young Adult” and “Jennifer’s Body.

New titles available to stream with your Amazon Prime membership next month include Season 5 of BBC’s “Orphan Black,” and several new Amazon Original series, including “Last Flag Flying,” “Picnic at Hanging Rock,” and “Diablo Guardian.”

Emmy winners Jeff Daniels (“The Newsroom”) and Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”) head up the new Hulu original series “The Looming Tower,” which chronicles the rise of Osama Bin-Laden. Also featured in this docudrama about the inter-agency rivalry between the CIA and FBI in the first part of this century are Golden Globe nominees Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Stuhlbarg. The first of the 10 episodes starts streaming on Hulu on Feb. 28.

Before then, Hulu viewers will get a chance to see another acclaimed docudrama, the film “Detroit” by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (“The Hurt Locker”). She reteamed with screenwriter Mark Boal, who also picked up an Oscar for “The Hurt Locker,” for this acclaimed film. “Detroit” documents the riots that beset the motor city in the summer of 1967 after the police raid an unlicensed bar on July 23 and arrest the 82 patrons and staff. Over the course of just five days, 43 people died...

Netflix has confirmed that a slew of new original series will be debuting on the streaming service in February. There will also be new to Netflix seasons of some of your favorites from other networks. Likewise, there will be plenty of movies making their first Netflix appearances including Martin Scorsese‘s Oscar-winning “Goodfellas,” Quentin Tarantino‘s “Kill Bill” double feature, the “Oceans” trilogy, and all the films in the “American Pie” franchise.

Of the new Netflix originals, several stand out as particularly binge-worthy, including season 1 of the sci-fi series “Altered Carbon” and the sophomore edition of the teen drama “Greenhouse Academy.” And there are episodes of both the new David Letterman and Joel Hale talk shows.
