"Piel de Otoño" demonstrates that a soap-opera can be a great viewing experience. This one has quality, an excellent plot, great acting, tender stories (not necessarily about love), good direction, and memorable scenes. The story is very simple but adjusts for the new millennium tendencies; that's why it's very likable and charming. I'm not ashamed to admit that I truly liked it and got involved with it. Well I'm usually against local t.v. or soap operas; my favorite genre is Horror so you can go figure why I'm so impressed with this soapie.
The story is simply great. I really liked how Lucìa and Santiago were meant for each other; probably the way they met was cheesy but when they met in person was truly convincing. Also, their relationship was something to admire. There was excellent chemistry between Flores and Strickler. Also, I liked how Sergio Goyri stole the show. HE'S the man! He got all the beautiful women and also delivered a great performance.
Lucìa demonstrates that women can be independent anytime and that's a lesson against machos. The cast was perfect. Laura Flores delivers probably her best performance to date; she's beautiful, classy, a delight to watch in all the sense of the word. Sergio Goyri stole the show; that's it.
Raquel Olmedo also is great on her role. She's tender and strong. Sabine Moussier looked incredibly sexy and hot through all the time. She's simply amazing. The rest of the cast is very good and proves that chemistry can exist between actors. Jovita rules.
Overall, this is a quality soap-opera that deserves a chance for those who enjoy soap-operas. You can't get much better than this.
I'm glad I had a lot of free time when this one aired.
