Looks like we were on to something when we suggested that Matt Kindt's "3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man" should be adapted. The book was optioned as a feature film by Warner Brothers this week.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Milk" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has signed on to direct and write the adaptation of "3 Story." Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg will produce the film, along with Lynn Harris and Matthew Milam.
Black has previously written the screenplays for "Pedro," "Something Close To Heaven" and the upcoming biopic "Hoover" for director Clint Eastwood. Black also served as a writer and producer on the HBO series "Big Love" and made his directorial feature debut with "What's Wrong with Virginia," which is expected to be released later this year.
