Amitabh Bachchan Celebrates Holi With His Family ( Photo Credit – Twitter )
Holi is a festival that cannot be complete without three iconic songs – Rang Barse Bheege Chunar Waali, Holi Khele Raghuveera, and Khaike Paan Banaras Wala. The last one is not necessarily a Holi song, but it still is a must in the Holi playlist for some strange reason. And guess what is common with these three songs? None other than Amitabh Bachchan.
There was a time in Bollywood when stars used to throw lavish Holi parties, and Bachchan’s Holi party was a riot. In fact, old reports are a testimony to the fact that after Rk Studios Holi stopped after Raj Kapoor’s death, it was Big B who picked up the tradition.

Toofaan (Amazon Prime)
Starring Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal
Directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra
This week, Amazon Prime has a lot to be proud of . Two outstanding feature films Malik in Malayalam and Toofaan in Hindi, although the language in both cases is the least vital component in its vibrant validity and renewable vitality.
Toofaan, I have to admit, starts off sluggishly . As the triumphant underdog’s saga of a goon from Dongri who becomes a national boxoffice champ, Toofaan takeson all the typical tropes of the sports genre: gruff coach, elitist decision-makers, supportive girlfriend and what–have-you.
But then suddenly Toofan changes tracks to become something much more than a sports drama, something far more relevant moving and vital. It become a testament to the power and pain of love in a growingly intolerant society powered by toxic levels of prejudice and suspicion. Following the intercaste marriage of...

Many of the songs brought a new vibe to the music of the movies, songs flavored with new influences, and songs that we never would have thought we would hear in a Bollywood flick. There were classic beats that got us up and dancing not to mention the grooves of today that got us to move to the music. We met some new singers we can’t wait to hear more of and some of our favorites blew us away with outstanding vocals. 2012 was full of surprises and we enjoyed so many of them, 50 in fact and every single note! As always we loved these songs when they first came out but once we saw them in the movie we loved them even more! Check out...

Mumbai, Nov 27: Raju Srivastava, who is known for his rib−tickling comic acts and mimicry, remembers the time when he started mimicking megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Raju says he didn't know that one day this would turn into his profession.
"There was such a big impression of Amitabh Bachchan on me that I started imitating his voice. I did not know that this would one day turn into a profession for me and I'll be known for it. So I used to do it for fun," Srivastava said in an interview.
"During Holi, I used to sing 'Rang barse'. At that time, no one used to mimic Amitabh... it was either Dilip Kumar or Dev Anand or Shatrughan.
