In the diner scene Miss Coco Peru (portrayed by Clinton Leupp) is seen crossing outside the window and entering the diner but never appears thereafter. This is because he was cut out of the following bathroom scene where Gabriel and Mark almost kiss, which is such a sweet moment that the director Jim Fall decided not to put in another joke with Coco.
A sequel, also from director Jim Fall and cast was rumored or announced to be in the works in 2012, 2014, and 2019, but as of 2022, none of the rumors or announcements have panned out as a produced film.
Christian Campbell who starred on Trick as an openly gay character (Gabriel), later played a prominent role, as yet another openly gay character, this time named Peter Webster, a gay son of a Church minister, on a drama TV series The Book of Daniel (2006).
The piano piece Gabriel attempts to play (at his apartment) for Mark is the beginning of the third movement of Piano Sonata No. 30 in E, Op. 109 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The street scene near the end where Gabriel kisses Mark, is adjacent to the Christopher Street Subway Station, located at the corner of Christopher Street and 7th Avenue South in Manhattan, New York City, New York. The GNC seen in the background is now a CVS Pharmacy.
