First of all we have to declare that the original uncensored version is the Japanese Version only. This version can be found on the British Special Collector's Edition. Now several censored versions, all based on the original Japanese Version, were released in the States and Great Britain.

The shortest version, apart from the German FSK 16 cut, is the US PG-13 Version that misses nearly all gory scenes and several pieces containing nudity.

Next there's the old US Unrated Version released by Manga Video / Sony. Apart from the PG-13 version, a version advertised as Unrated Version was released on VHS, DVD and LD in the US. This has a much longer run time than the PG-13 version and was not censored in the violent scenes in particular. Nevertheless, two censor cuts were made during Chun Li's nude scene. Not only the shot of her naked bottom is missing (as e.g. in the old UK version (see above)), but also a shot of Chun Li's breasts.

Finally there's a fourth version that was released in the UK and in the States as a rerelease - also labeled as Unrated. A shot of Chun Li's naked bottom is missing. The short scenes with the street walking girl were removed and other unimportant ones were shortened. This version is contained on the old UK VHS, as well as on the first UK DVD and the new UK DVD, the latter of which also contains the uncut Japanese version.
