The Netflix limited series Adolescencehas been nothing short of a sensation, earning rapturous reviews and sitting at the top of the streamer's top ten since its release. At a time when many streaming properties struggle to break through, Adolescence has managed to command attention for its visceral performances, technical virtuosity, and distressingly timely subject matter.
While everyone on the series gives it their all, it serves as an ideal showcase for the many talents of its co-creator and star, Stephen Graham. As Eddie, the father of 13-year-old suspected murderer Jamie, Graham radiates genuine love for his son along with deep anger and guilt in the wake of the allegations against him. It's a masterful performance that marks one of Graham's most visible projects to US audiences, but it's really just the latest in a long line of stellar work stretching back over three decades. "Yellowstone" announced itself as a show that wasn't afraid to kill off main characters with its 2018 pilot episode "Daybreak." In that episode, we're introduced to Kevin Costner's John Dutton III, owner of the Yellowstone ranch in Montana, and his family. But by the end of the pilot we'd already seen two family members kick the bucket — most notably John's eldest son Lee Dutton (Dave Annable), whose fate in "Yellowstone" started the series on a tragic note and set the story of the show in motion.
In the episode, Lee accompanies his father as they try to recover their cattle from the neighboring Broken Rock Indian Reservation. During their late-night recovery mission, however, the pair are confronted by the inhabitants of the reservation and the Broken Rock police, who show up in an attempt to keep the peace. Sadly, they're unsuccessful in that mission, and Lee ends up being shot...

Director Osgood Perkins said Maika Monroe didn't meet Nicolas Cage during Longlegs' production, not until their character's first meeting. The tension was so palpable for Monroe that her pulse spiked from 76 to 170 beats per minute.
Longlegs' promo trailer Heartbeat proved the perfect teaser for a psychological thriller with an ace up its sleeve director Osgood Perkins kept Nicolas Cage's titular character in absolute mystery in the trailers and marketing. Longlegs' presence was palpable but it was always something lurking in the shadows, or the character's face was entirely covered in the brief reveals. Heartbeat teased Monroe's reaction the first time she saw Cage in character; director Osgood Perkins kept Monroe and Cage separate throughout Longlegs' filming until that climactic scene, and for good reason. Monroe told Entertainment Weekly that the leadup to that moment was so nerve-wracking that she dreaded filming that sequence.

Spoilers for "Longlegs" follow.
"Longlegs" hit movie theaters this week, and it's already an unprecedented hit for indie studio Neon. Apparently, audiences have been craving horror-themed thrillers for adults.
The film is centered around Lee Harker (modern scream queen Maika Monroe), a young FBI agent hunting a serial killer (Nicolas Cage) in 1990s Oregon. "Longlegs" is a clear "Silence of the Lambs" riff but director Osgood Perkins doesn't go for a straightforward procedural. When it comes time to explain the killer, he uses the same themes of supernatural evil as in his previous pictures, this time within the frame of the late 20th century Satanic panic.
Like many of the best serial killer movies, the killer himself (we'll just call him "Longlegs") isn't onscreen much; mysteries don't work if they spoon-feed the audience from the beginning. The film tees up how horrific he must look. The opening, set in the...

Longlegs, the latest horror project from The Blackcoat’s Daughter (a.k.a. February), I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and Gretel & Hansel director Osgood Perkins, is set to reach theatres on July 12th (JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray gave the movie a 9/10 review you can read at This Link) – and while the final trailer was already released a week ago, the marketing continues with the new “Heartbeat” promo, which shows the first time lead actress Maika Monroe (It Follows) saw Nicolas Cage (Dream Scenario) as his serial killer character. Apparently the filmmakers even had a heart rate monitor on Monroe during the filming of the scene, because the promo reveals how high her heart rate got when she had to face Cage’s Longlegs. You can check it out in the embed above – and don’t worry, the appearance of Cage’s character is obscured.

Undeniably, Kelly Clarkson was having a rough night. While she was performing on May 10, she was a bit out of sorts.
Kelly Clarkson Starts The Night Off In A Weird Mood
When she first came on stage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on May 10 and 11, she was feeling a little off. After entering the platform, Kelly Clarkson admits she was in a weird mood. She says, “I’m in a weird mood. I don’t know why. You should’ve seen me backstage. I was dancing like Kristen Wiig in [Saturday Night Live],” referring to her creative movements. But even with the unusual intro, she said she was eager to start and be performing. Admittedly, she only gets to do short songs as part of Kellyoke on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Lee Chang-dong set Cannes ablaze in 2018 with the uneasily beautiful “Burning,” a loose Haruki Murakami adaptation about the folie à troix between an alienated delivery man (Ah-in Yoo), the wily young woman (Jong-seo Jun) he covets, and the handsome charisma machine who blows them apart. The South Korean director’s sixth film made history as Korea’s first to make the International Feature Oscar shortlist (it wasn’t nominated) but is perhaps best remembered for two scenes: the woman, Haemi (Jun), dancing topless for them to the tune of Miles Davis’ “Elevator to the Gallows” soundtrack, and for its abruptly violent ending involving murder and arson in the nude. Then, there’s a missing cat that may have never existed — pure Murakami.
“Burning” remains a new classic of the 2010s, an elusive portrait of loneliness and desire that never spills on its narrative secrets. It grossed an impressive $718,000 at the U.

This is Why Cinema and Inna Payán’s Animal de Luz Films have licensed drama “Todo el silencio” (“All the Silence”) to Prime Video. This follows that of Animal de Luz’s licensing of Katina Medina Mora’s “Latido” (“Heartbeat”) to the giant platform.

The drama centers on Miriam whose life is a testament to her love of sign language. In the mornings, she dedicates herself to teaching it, and in the afternoons, she immerses herself in the world of theater. Her girlfriend, Lola, as well as her parents and numerous friends, are all members of the deaf community. However, her world is shattered when she discovers that she, too, is losing her hearing. Faced with this harsh reality, Miriam refuses to accept her fate.

Craig Heaney's role as Private Roy W. Cobb in Band of Brothers was a breakout role and the highlight of his career, with no other projects as prominent or lasting. Heaney's acting career seemed to have ended after his final role in The Queen in 2009, as he has not appeared on-screen since then. Cobb, Heaney's character, faced a downward spiral in the Army, culminating in his assault on a sergeant, resulting in a court-martial, discharge, and eventual move to New York, where he died of cancer later in life.
Band of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company — 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division in World War II, and the television show features an ensemble cast, including Craig Heaney as Private Roy W. Cobb. Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks created the HBO miniseries, which ran for ten episodes in late 2001 and received widespread critical claim.

Prime Video is expanding its global slate of Korean dramas with vampire-themed fantasy romcom HeartBeat, starring Ok Taec-yeon.
Produced by Korean broadcaster Kbs, the series will be available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide outside of Korea starting Monday, June 26. New episodes of the 16-episode series will be available weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Ok previously starred in Let’s Fight Ghost, Vincenzo and Blind. In HeartBeat, he stars opposite Won Ji-an, whose credits include Hope Or Dope, If You Wish Upon Me and D.P.
In Heartbeat, Ok plays a vampire who sleeps in a coffin for 100 years in the hope of experiencing true love, but is awakened one day early by a cold-blooded-yet-mesmerizing woman (Won), who has no time for romance.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be in partnership with one of Korea’s leading national broadcasters,” said David Simonsen, director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia.

There are two Harrison Fords in Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny: a digitally de-aged adventurer battling Nazis over plundered artifacts in 1944, and a retiring college professor reluctantly called back into the high-speed chase life in 1969. The one who gets the movie’s shirtless scene? That would be 1969 Indy, played by the contemporary Ford, now 80, who is shown waking up in boxers and walking across Indy’s New York apartment.
The scene is not played for cheap, age-joke laughs, nor does it look like Ford spent months injecting growth hormones or recovering from invasive aesthetic treatments to prepare. No, this Indy looks like his handsome self, just older, like life has kicked him around a bit, the way it does if any of us are lucky enough to make it to 70 and beyond. And this image of a movie star we’ve watched since his beautiful youth being allowed to...

In 1973, the killer of Welsh teenagers Sandra Newton, Pauline Flynn and Gwendoline Hughes was not caught, despite a high-profile and widespread investigation by South Wales Police. The girls’ families spent the next three decades not knowing who was responsible for brutally taking the lives of their loved ones, or whether he still lived alongside them in the local Neath and Port Talbot communities.
In 2002, a development in forensics changed everything. The cold case was reopened with much pared-down resources, and crime scene DNA was successfully used to identify Wales’ first recorded serial killer. Steeltown Murders is the story of the loss, guilt and suspicion that followed the 1970s murders, and of the perseverance of the officers who were eventually able to provide the victims’ families with the answers they’d been denied years before.
Here are the actors making up the cast behind Steeltown Murders‘ dramatisation of real-life figures and events.

This post contains spoilers for the series finale of "Star Trek: Picard."
The final episode of "Star Trek: Picard" -- called "The Last Generation" -- begins in the middle of an action-movie-style crisis. Starfleet has been infiltrated by a Borg brain virus that had assimilated thousands of young people at the same time. Now compromised, hundreds of Federation vessels have their weapons trained on an enormous starbase, ready to kill everyone. Meanwhile, the cast of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" have gathered on a reconstructed Enterprise-d and charge out to Jupiter where a secret Borg base is hiding. Only once they are able to explode the Borg base, very much the way one might a Death Star, can the brain virus be erased and the assault ended. Also, they would save Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers), the son of Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and finally slay the evil Borg Queen (voice...
