Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn has opened up about her “dehumanizing” separation from her ex Christian Dumontet.
Quinn and Dumontet were married for three years and share their three-year-old son Christian Georges.
In an interview with People, Quinn shared, “I haven’t talked about this with anyone…some people knew stuff was going on, but no one knew the extent of it in terms of how bad everything was.”
In March 2024, Dumontet was arrested for alleged domestic violence involving the couple’s toddler. Dumontet filed for divorce on April 5 and was later arrested again for violating the emergency protective order Quinn had against him.
Quinn shared that Dumontet’s actions pushed her to move herself and their son from their Los Angeles residence to Texas.
“I really didn’t have a choice. I was granted an emergency protective order so my ex couldn’t come to the house. He violated that,...

Though the summer movie season of 1988 would not officially begin until the May 20 opening of Ron Howard and George Lucas' "Willow," movie buffs hungry for spectacle after enduring an unusually weak spring (led by Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice" and Oscar-winning holdovers like "The Last Emperor" and "Moonstruck") were eagerly looking forward weeks in advance of this kickoff and wondering which of the studios' big-ticket offerings would satisfy as wholly as "The Untouchables," "RoboCop," and "Predator" had done the previous year. Amid the glut of mostly unpromising sequels, there were two seemingly sure things (Robert Zemeckis' "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and the Eddie Murphy vehicle "Coming to America") and a smattering of originals toplined by some of the biggest stars in the industry.
And then there was "Die Hard."
As you likely know, John McTiernan's classic was initially viewed by some as a looming folly based on 20th Century Fox...

At this point, it’s impossible to say World War II films are rare. The world’s most recent global conflict was a dire warning against wanton violence, and its inherent lessons to humanity are (unfortunately) more prescient than ever. Many of these films focus on the mortality of common soldiers, while others highlight the brutality of mechanized warfare and uplift the heroic soldiers who fought and died to give humanity a brief reprieve from the clutches of fascism. However, as with any war, there are also plenty of political thrillers.
One such film, Downfall, was released in 2004 to an abundance of praise, and over 20 years later, it still enjoys a 90% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it’s also one of the most controversial World War II films ever made. By some assessments, its problematic elements are only outpaced by literal wartime propaganda. Others, like historian and professor Hermann Graml,...

Sherri Shepherd learned from one of the greats. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause showed her how to perfect the perfect soap opera face slap.
Slap Heard Around the World
Nowadays, most TV watchers associate Stause with Netflix’s Selling Sunset. Long before she became a real estate agent and reality TV staple, she was a soap star. Stause played the role of Amanda Dillon on ABC’s iconic soap opera, All My Children. She makes good TV because she knows drama.
Stause stopped by The Sherri Shepherd Show to spill some of her secrets. Shepherd wanted to learn how to do the iconic soap opera face slap, which was seen on AMC, Dynasty, and other classic shows. Some soap operas pay homage to this bold move to this day.
Stause and Shepherd stood face-to-face in front of one another. Shepherd held her arm out while locking her elbow. She tried to get into the mood.

Jason Oppenheim, star realtor of Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” has offered free representation and to credit back any commission paid for Los Angeles residents displaced by the ongoing wildfires.
“I woke up this morning to lot of friends and clients reaching out because they lost their home over the last couple of days, and they need they need help with places to live now,” Oppenheim said in a video posted to social media on Thursday. “Their families are displaced. And as real estate agents, we obviously have an obligation to help them find a place, even when it’s going to be difficult with thousands of people looking for places and not nearly as many houses available.”
In response to the wildfires, which have prompted over 179,000 residents to evacuate their homes as of Thursday morning, Oppenheim shared that the Oppenheim Group is “offering to represent anybody for free, or we...

Gypsy got back on track and Wicked stayed in the stratosphere during New Year’s week, with most of Broadway’s 33 shows posting strong numbers even while dropping down from the previous (and very lucrative) Christmas week figures.
With Audra McDonald back in action after a week of illness that prompted the cancellation of all but one Gypsy performance, the musical revival played a full eight performances, grossing $1,799,134. That’s up $1,519,039 over the previous week’s single performance.
Wicked, meanwhile, was the Broadway chart’s top earner for the New Year’s holiday week ending January 5. The show’s gross of $3,294,179 bested the #2 earner, The Lion King by nearly a half-million dollars. Wicked, posting huge numbers in recent months, had grossed $5,037,392 the previous week for nine performances, a record high for Broadway.
In its final week, Elf grossed $1,214,945, with 82% of seats filled at the Marquis,...

Happy New Year! As the Deadline team gears up for another busy and discovery-filled 12 months on the global film festival circuit, here is our annual (non-exhaustive) list of U.S. and international movies we expect to see on the way. While we scored better than an 80% strike rate for 2024, this year’s list features a few returnees we still hope to see at a festival soon. As in our previous prediction lists, we’ve focused on titles that have already started filming or are in post-production and which haven’t yet been announced for a festival.

Now married to Tarek El Moussa, Heather credits being a Playmate for her success. Many fans were disappointed when Heather Rae El Moussa (formerly Young) left Selling Sunset after Season 7. While the Netflix show captured fans with Christell Stause and Nicole Young's feud at that time, there was more drama behind the scenes.
Back then, people assumed that Heather's filming schedule with HGTV, alongside her husband Tarek El Moussa, just conflicted with Selling Sunset. Things became suspicious when she was left out of the Season 7 cast photo, and she just disappeared in Season 8 without an official announcement.

Va-va-voom ostrich-plumed showgirls were once synonymous with Las Vegas entertainment. While Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl explores the end of an era for the glitzy, glamorous dancers, the first showgirls were introduced to the U.S. in The Ziegfield Follies, a series of revues on Broadway from 1907 to 1927, inspired by the famed dancers at the Folies Bergère in Paris.
Initially kicking off in 1869 in a Parisian cabaret hall, the Folies Bergère launched the career of Josephine Baker, who made a splash in 1926 dancing topless with strategically placed pearls and a skirt composed of artificial bananas. Fast forward to Christmas Eve, 1959, when Lou Walters — then-entertainment director for the lavish Tropicana Las Vegas and father of broadcast journalist Barbara Walters — imported the sensational Folies Bergère act directly from Paris. Touching down in a pre-Cirque du Soleil era when French revues were all the rage, it went on to become the longest-running show in Vegas history,...

The build-up to Christmas is being very generous with Broadway. In some cases, very, very generous. Among the most impressive box office developments last week was the welcome given to All In: Comedy About Love, based on the short stories of writer Simon Rich, read live by such performers as, initially, John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Richard Kind (the cast changes each week).
For the week ending December 15, All In grossed $1,046,514 for five previews. The Hudson Theatre was sold out for the week with a hefty average ticket price of $216.22.
Also doing its best to impress the holiday gods was Elf, joining the rarified $2 million club with a gross of $2,033,784, with 94% of seats at the massive Marquis occupied.
Other shows grossing $2M or more were the usuals: Hamilton, The Lion King, and tireless frontrunner Wicked. Two productions teetered on the $2M brink: Gypsy; and Sunset Blvd..
Solidly on the $1M+ turf were: & Juliet, Aladdin, All In: Comedy About Love, Back To The Future, Cabaret At The Kit Kat Club, Death Becomes Her, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hell’s Kitchen, Mj, Moulin Rouge!, Oh, Mary!, Suffs, The Book of Mormon, The Great Gatsby, The Notebook and The Outsiders.
Sell-outs for the week were All In: Comedy About Love, Death Becomes Her, Hadestown, Hamilton, Oh, Mary!, Romeo + Juliet, Suffs, The Notebook, The Outsiders and Wicked. Topping 95% were & Juliet, Aladdin, Chicago, Gypsy, Hell’s Kitchen, Moulin Rouge!, Stereophonic, Sunset Blvd., The Book of Mormon, The Great Gatsby and The Lion King.
A couple numbers of note: Swept Away, which recently gave itself a wise two-week extension (to December 29) after posting an early closing, filled 99% of seats at the Longacre. And the excellent Maybe Happy Ending, after initially struggling to find its audience, was at 95% of capacity at the Belasco last week, with a very happy gross of $764,022.
Cult of Love, which opened to generally solid reviews on December 12, filled 91% of seats at the Hayes, grossing $315,283 for two previews and five regular performances.
Another recent arrival, the so-dubbed vaccine comedy Eureka Day, was in previews last week at the Friedman, filling 85% of seats and grossing $230,425. The positive reviews that followed its December 16 opening should spur some box office gains in coming weeks.
Two shows closed last week: The Notebook, filling the Schoenfeld with last-chancers and grossing a hefty $1,094,299, and The Roommate, grossing $501,497 with attendance at 87% of capacity (up from 77% the previous week).
Not sharing in the holiday love were Left on Tenth and The Hills of California, with attendance leaving their respective venues nearly half empty.
In all, the 36 Broadway productions on the boards last week grossed $43,720,381, with attendance at 314,951, both figures more than 38% greater than last year at this time. Average ticket price was $138.82, about $3 greater than last year.
Season to date, Broadway, in the 30th week of the 2024-25 season, has grossed $992,182,392, up about 15% over last year at this time, with total attendance of 7,971,644 also up about 15%.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s long-awaited docuseries Polo made its debut on Netflix this week.
But you wouldn’t know it from the couple’s recent activities.
Yes, given that they executive produced the series and they both appear on camera in small cameo roles, you might expect that Harry and Meghan would be working hard to promote Polo.

Gypsy, the much-anticipated musical revival starring Audra McDonald, was at standing room only during its first week of previews at the Majestic Theatre, grossing $770,349 for only three performances. At that rate, the production is sure to rank among the top grossing shows on Broadway in the coming weeks.
With an average ticket price of $160.19, Gypsy was at 100.8% of the venue’s capacity for the Broadway week ending November 24. Directed by George C. Wolfe, the revival of the Arthur Laurents-Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim classic officially opens December 19, with McDonald, Danny Burstein and Joy Woods leading the cast.
At the opposite end of the Broadway grosses spectrum last week was Tammy Faye, the critically panned Elton John-Jake Shears musical about televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker. Posting a December 8 closing notice shortly after opening at the Palace on November 14, Tammy Faye took in just $317,913 last week, filling only 41% of the venue’s seats.

Broadway’s hit musical revival Sunset Blvd. stayed strong last week amidst the controversy surrounding star Nicole Scherzinger’s social media post interpreted (or rather misinterpreted) by many as an endorsement of Donald Trump.
The latest Broadway grosses (for the week ending November 10) indicate that Sunset Blvd. was up $134,498 over the previous week. With attendance at the St. James Theatre at 97% of capacity (compared to 95% the previous week), the show’s total gross was a very strong $1,857,562.
In fact, the weekly gross for Sunset Blvd. was the Broadway roster’s third-highest for the week, behind only the usual favorites The Lion King ($1.9M) and perennial top grosser Wicked ($2.5M).
Scherzinger, in case you somehow missed it, set off a backlash last week after posting a response to Maga comedian and accused sexual assaulter Russell Brand, with Scherzinger asking where she, too, could get a red ball cap inscribed with “Make Jesus First Again.

Update, with video: Patti LuPone, famously fired by Andrew Lloyd Webber from her role as Norma Desmond in the 1993 London production of Sunset Boulevard, is putting old grudges aside — kinda, sorta — and plans to see the new Jamie Lloyd-directed Broadway production on Wednesday.
In a deliciously on-point LuPone appearance on ABC’s The View today, the former Evita was in peak candid form in delivering a side-eye “compliment” about the hot new Broadway Sunset revival starring Nicole Scherzinger as Norma.
First, a little background. In 1993, LuPone created the role of Norma Desmond in the original London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, directed by Trevor Nunn. The project was a reteaming of LuPone and Lloyd Webber following their massive success with Evita, but history didn’t repeat itself: LuPone abruptly was fired by the composer, who subsequently hired Glenn Close to open the show in Los Angeles and eventually on Broadway.

When Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stage adaptation of the 1950 Billy Wilder film Sunset Boulevard premiered in London in 1993 and on Broadway the following year, it was arguably the last gasp of the ‘80s megamusical aesthetic — at least until shows like The Lion King and Wicked came along to tweak the formula. The success of blockbusters like Cats, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon was driven as much by their large-scale spectacle as their musical craftsmanship. Probably more.
Audiences flocked to Cats for its then-revolutionary immersive junkyard staging and the climactic ascent to the heavens of faded feline Grizabella on an outsized tire. In Les Mis, it was the massive turntable and the big reveal of the Paris Uprising barricade. Phantom brought a huge chandelier crashing down on the stage and Miss Saigon flew in a helicopter to evacuate the last Americans at the end of the Vietnam War.
