Goofs

The guitars played by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison in the early scenes are incorrect. Respectively, they are seen holding a Harmony Stratotone Jupiter, a Fender Stratocaster copy, and an '60's Ibanez respectively. In reality, Lennon played a Rickenbacker 325, McCartney an Italian-made Rosati, and Harrison a Czech-made Futurama.

The Beatles are shown performing Long Tall Sally for their audition on New Year's Day 1962. This song was not among those recorded at the Decca audition that day.

In one scene, Stuart Sutcliffe tells John Lennon that he is leaving the band, then shortly after dies of a brain hemorrhage while dancing with his fiancee. The scene takes place in 1961, just before they are set to record backup for My Bonnie. The real Sutcliffe died in April 1962, several months after he left the Beatles.

The Beatles held a proper press conference at their first arrival at JFK in New York and were not interviewed at random by reporters while walking down a corridor as depicted in the film.

The Anglican Ccthedral shown was still being built in the 1960s--the period in which this film was set--and not completed until 1978.

When the Beatles are in Hamburg in 1961, George Harrison sings "Don't Bother Me" on stage, the first song he wrote for the group but in actuality Harrison didn't write the song until 1963, and it was included on the Beatles' second album.

During a scene at the NEMS record shop in 1961, the British album cover for Gordon Lightfoot's The Way I Feel, released in 1967, can be spotted on a shelf.

At the beginning of the movie when the Beatles audition for a club, John Lennon says they'll be playing Dizzy Miss Lizzy in the key of E, but when they play, its in the key of B flat.
