Georges Lautner has declared himself offended by the way Paul Meurise ignored Barbara Steele all through the shooting of the film, just because he did not appreciate to be "miscast" with a horror actress.
Barbara Steele, the number one "scream queen" of the moment, was imposed in the cast by the Italian part of the co-production.
One of the jazz themes composed by Michel Magne for the film is very similar to "Take Five", the famous piece written by Paul Desmond in 1959.
