Produced by Horizon, and released by Eagle Lion, the film When I Grow Up, according to an ad in the Chicago Tribune, opened in Chicago as the bottom-half of a double-bill, on Tuesday, April 15, 1952, at the Ziegfeld theatre, 66 E. Van Buren st. The top-half was the documentary on Queen Elizabeth's royal visit to Canada, Royal Journey; plus (the bottom-half),When I Grow Up, with Bobby Driscoll, Robert Preston, Martha Scott; the ad stated "***1/2 . . . exceptional drama"---New York News. The ad indicated "Chicago Premier Today."
