Twentieth Century-Fox originally planned to film in Technicolor.
According to Hedda Hopper's April 13, 1943 column Sonja Henie was very jealous of the attention Carole Landis was getting for her work with the troops and Sonja gave her dirty looks when they were on the set together.
Film must be set in spring of 1940 since it refers to the German invasion of Norway as a current event.
This film ended Sonja Henie's long-term contract with 20th Century Fox. It was only a modest hit at the box office.
While the title of the film is Wintertime (1943), the skating show Henie appears in is "Winter Time" on the poster.
